Is there actually a difference between the different ones or is it just for looks? Which one's your favorite?

I've been asking for different types of melee weapons in CoD for years now.

Like, maybe instead of a knife, you get a sledgehammer that's slower but can destroy Sentry Guns (since knives can't do that now).

Something cool like that.

BO2 came the closest with knife customization, but that was still pretty far from what I asked for.

 

I was excited when I saw that BF4 would have different knife types, but the problems at beta turned me completely off. x)

 

So what types of knives are there? Are the changes completely aesthetic?

Just for looks as far as I know. Think I have five unlocked and they all do the same thing.

I've just unlocked the big black dildo on BF4 and i'd say it's more powerful from behind than the machete.
