speaking of figures, are we gonna discuss the Sansa-cleavage or what.  i know the character is supposed to be 14 or something ridiculous like that. forget it, i just creeped myself out, everyone move along.

But in real life she is older than 14 right?  It's not like you're creeping over Hermione in Prisoner of Azkaban or something.

I listen to this guy's epic mixes when I work out. He has a bunch of them. He takes epic trailer music and puts it all together so it flows good from song to song and he even starts it out slow as you're warming up.  Nothing gets you going like epic heroic orchestra :) , yep, not even metal.

You can download his stuff through soundcloud.

Ok , time for a critical review.

1. How the hell did Magneto control the Sentinels, sure he could move them around like puppets, but not control their computer programming.  And wasn't it convenient that he said "Do what you were designed to do" aka kill mutants and they went off to kill all other mutants but him, even though they were looking right at him when he gave the command. Only later did they start to come after him, again when it was convenient.

2. Speaking of convenience. How about that serum that lets Professor X walk. lol.  I guess they needed to save money on that plane scene and couldn't get a wheelchair up there.

I guess that's about it. I thought there was one more thing that didn't make sense but I can't recall it right now.

Ok, so...

I thought the movie was excellent although it suffered some pacing issues in the middle and dragged on too slow.  But bonus for me, that's when I went to the bathroom. Usually after a big mid-movie action scene is the best spot for that.  10 minutes could have probably been cut and the movie would have still been understandable.

What's up with the gratuitous Bryan Singer insertion shot.  He wasn't even a cameo really, it was obvious and blatant.   When he was running the camera filming Beast as he was tied up in the water fountain.

Storm didn't talk much. +1.

I had a feeling Cyclops would be back since he showed up on the Red Carpet Premiere. That was cool.  And yes, Famke too, she's hot.  Maybe they will take another shot at the Phoenix Saga and get it right.

I loved the extra credits scene and the foreshadowing of the Four Horseman of Apocalypse but why the hell did they put it at the very end? Jesus.  The other Marvel movies put it half way through so people can get on with it.

Yep. The last episode from last year, will allow you to jump into this year and be ok

I didn't like the season finally that much. Seemed routine.

Every show that has been on this long suffers from this. The basic life expectancy (of quality) is 5 seasons. That's what Supernatural was originally planned out for.  But it kept going. So it lost its footing in Season 6-7. It finally got back on track when Jeremy Carver returned (who wrote this episode by the way).  They even went meta and had Crowley say "...this is what's expected" and instead they did something unexpected.

That's a good season ender in my book and opens up a huge change to the status quo about how Dean will act (character development) next year.  Sam's character arc pretty much sucked this season as it was all Dean. He caused Kevin's death, etc.  It seems like they swap back and forth between the brothers as to who gets the story.  Season 6 saw Sam losing his soul/regaining it.  Season 7 saw dean go to Purgatory. Season 8 saw Sam doing the Trials.  Season 9 was Dean and the Mark of Kain.  So my guess will be somehow Sam's gonna get more development next season (in addition to resolving the Dean as a Demon problem of course).

Of course, knowing the Spinoff flopped and wasn't picked up, I'm hoping they attempt an additional spinoff next year as it might just be the last chance they get.  Unless we get another season but I'm starting to doubt that's gonna happen.

Friday the 13th: Slasher Horror Classic in Development as Hour-long TV Drama

friday-the-13th-dw.jpg?w=300&h=210

Jason Voorhees is packing up his machete and heading to television.

An hour-long drama based on the iconic horror franchise Friday the 13th is currently in development, our sister site Deadline reports.

Though the new series will be set in present-day Crystal Lake — the setting of the original 1980 film — Bill Basso (Terminator) and Jordu Schell (Avatar) are crafting a storyline that will show Jason in several different time periods.

“Expect the show to take viewers in some exciting new directions that we’re confident will not only excite existing fans of Friday the 13th, but also attract new audiences to the situations and characters that inhabit the small town of Crystal Lake,” says Horror Inc. president Robert Barsamian, who will also produce.

The series, which is not yet attached to a network, will be produced by Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films and Crystal Lake Entertainment. Sean S. Cunningham, who produced the original film, will executive-produce.
