Glen11 51
Anyone use the Astro A40's. Been asked if they are any good and thought I would see if anyone knows first hand. Most reviews seem very positive. Anyone have pros/cons compared with other high end headsets? spectre 633
I have some. I like them the most out of the 3 I have had, including Turtle Beach and Trittons. My mic cord input seems to be shorted out and I have to have the cord plugged in just right but I haven't exactly treated them very nice either. Keep calm and question nothing. Chookes 965
I "think" crippledviper has them, might be wrong though. Can you not suggest the Trittons? Glen11 51
I did but it seems most reviews put A40's above the AX Pro's. Im not sure there would be a massive difference between the 2 but just though I would ask Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/700-headset-question-astro-a40/#findComment-18891 Share on other sites
spectre 633
I had the Tritton Ax Pro's. The difference from them to the A40's is the A40's seem to have more "oomph" Keep calm and question nothing. Glen11 51
Ok thanks, is it correct that you can buy a new mixamp for the A40's when its released instead of a whole new headset? Might upgrade myself if thats the case Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/700-headset-question-astro-a40/#findComment-18900 Share on other sites
Commander_Undies 618
I have the A40s. Went from a Turtle beach PX21 to them. So of course it sounded amazing, but I have nothing to compare the sound to. I got the wireless mix amp simply for the bass boost. From my research the wired mix amp was missing the bass that the Tritton or Turtles have. So I compromised Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/700-headset-question-astro-a40/#findComment-18964 Share on other sites
