I have been trying to sort out which mods I need to get, and which I have but need to level up

I found this listing:

Weapons:

Damage:

  • Serration
  • Hornet Strike
  • Pressure Point
  • Point Blank
  • Heavy Caliber (Corrupted)
  • Blaze (Nightmare)
  • Vicious Spread (Corrupted)
  • Spoiled Strike (Corrupted)

Multishot:

  • Split Chamber
  • Barrel Diffusion
  • Lethal Torrent
  • Hell's Chamber

Elemental: (you should already have most of these)

  • Electric
  • Toxin
  • Fire
  • Ice

Critical Chance/Critical Damage: (important for crit weapons only)

  • Point Strike/Vital Sense
  • True Steel/Organ Shatter + Berserker (+ atk speed for crit)
  • Pistol Gambit/Target Cracker (few pistols have potential for crit)

Fire Rate: (useful for weapons with slow charge/high ammo efficiency)

  • Speed Trigger
  • Lethal Torrent (Nightmare)
  • Fury or Berserker for crit melee
  • Gunslinger
  • Accelerated Blast

Bane Mods: (useful for builds that already have lots of elementals in them)

  • Bane of Grineer/Corpus/Infested
  • Cleanse Grineer/Corpus/Infested
  • Expel Grineer/Corpus/Infested
  • Smite Grineer/Corpus/Infested

Mutation Mods: (useful for weapons with very bad ammo economy)

  • Shotgun Ammo Mutation
  • Rifle Ammo Mutation

Special Mods: (have some uses but are not essential by any means)

  • Life Strike (life steal) (keep it R0)
  • Firestorm (AoE on launchers)
  • Thunderbolt (AoE on bows)

Corrupted Fire Rate: (have some use on extremely ammo efficient/slow charging weapons and should be easy to find in vaults)

  • Vile Acceleration
  • Anemic Agility
  • Frail Momentum

Punchthrough: (have niche use against swarms of enemies that group up and who doesn't love shooting through walls?)

  • Shred
  • Seeking Force
  • Seeker

Syndicate mods for weapons that have them will probably be worth the slot, but not particularly easy to obtain if you aren't ranked in a syndicate already.

Dual Stat mods (elemental/status) are nice to have, but most are exclusives and will have to be bought off of players. (expensive)

Event mods (slash/puncture) are also nice to have, but again exclusives and will have to be bought off of players. (expensive)

Warframes:

Tank: (you'll most likely want 1 or 2 tank mods per build)

  • Redirection
  • Vitality
  • Steel Fiber
  • Vigor (Nightmare)

Aura: (you'll need at least one for each polarity to match your frame's aura slot and get 14-18 additional mod capacity)

  • Energy Siphon (good for casters)
  • Corrosive Projection (endgame)
  • Steel Charge (melee)
  • Rejuvenation (healing)
  • Enemy Radar
  • Loot Radar
  • (I listed the good ones, but if you don't have an aura, any will do)

Power Efficiency: (you'll want these on nearly every one of your warframes)

  • Streamline
  • Flow
  • Fleeting Expertise (Corrupted)

Power Strength: (good for frames that use damaging abilities)

  • Intensify
  • Transient Fortitude (Corrupted)
  • Blind Rage (Corrupted) (only if you have efficiency mods already)

Power Duration: (good for frames with duration-based abilities)

  • Continuity
  • Narrow Minded (Corrupted)
  • Constitution (Nightmare) (not much duration for capacity required)

Power Range: (good for frames with AoE abilities)

  • Stretch
  • Overextended (Corrupted)
  • Syndicate Mods (some will be worth the slot, others won't)

Special Mods: (will have some use on some frames, but not essential by any means)

  • Rage
  • Quick Thinking
  • Equilibrium
  • Thief's Wit
  • Master Thief
  • Sentinels:
  • Guardian (special void crates)
  • Sanctuary (special void crates)
  • Coolant Leak

You'll get most of the sentinel mods passively. Players are inundated with sentinel mods, particularly sentinel ability mods.

General:

Most mods you will want to max if at all possible. The only exceptions are the Corrupted mods, which have drawbacks as part of their effect, and rank 10 mods, which take a lot of fodder to completely max.

Drawbacks you want to keep an eye on: (may eventually need multiple copies)

Streamline (max efficiency is at 75% - R4, R5)

Heavy Caliber (accuracy is important for some weapons, but not all - R7, R10)

Fleeting Expertise (max efficiency is at 75% and duration is really important for some builds - R3, R4, R5)

Blind Rage (most frames will not be able to handle full Blind Rage without a Trinity to back them up energy-wise - R5, R10)

Narrow Minded (range may be important too - R7, R10)

Luke 23:34
'And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't think it be like it is, but it do."
