Cracking stuff Dave!

Tired of being bored shitless at work, I decided to pack some hardware into a suitcase and take it with me for tonight's shift. I've got:
 
Thermaltake Berlin 630w PSU
 
Asrock H61 PRO BTC motherboard
 
Celeron G1610 CPU
 
4gb DDR3
 
Nvidia 750 ti (MSI Gaming edition)
 
 
Now a few notes, this is going to be a mining PC, hence the 750 ti. I've got another one at home and they're excellent low power cards which actually perform very well for gaming for their price. They have basically revolutionized the GPU world because not only do they perform well, but they don't even require a separate power plug - they get all their juice from the motherboard, and draw no more than 40 watts. Compared to my 290, which is happy to suck 300w from all it's power connnectors. What this means is that you can plug one of these babies into any PC and play games. These cards will NOT run in SLi, which is a real shame. Two of these in SLI would spank most cards out there for next to nothing. I'm assuming Nvidia did this on purpose because two of these in SLI would make most of their mid-range cards obsolete instantly. 
 
The CPU I've gone with is the lowest power model on the market, the Celeron G1610. It's a dual core 2.6ghz jobbie with no hyperthreading. It's made for low power and low cost, and at £30 it's a steal. Running with two Ivy Bridge cores too. 
 
The RAM is half of my main PC's RAM, so Corsair Vengeance 4gb 2133mhz. I've got it running at 1600 because I'm not fussed about performance here, it's all about the mining, so the GPUs are where it's at. 
 
The motherboard is a model designed specifically for mining, and as such has extra power connectors and PCI-E slots. It will take up to 6 graphics cards on risers, although I'll only be using three for now. 
 
I will probably load up some games on to this at some point and see how they fare. Unfortunately the internet here in the headquarters of the biggest telecomms company in the world is so slow I could probably feed this PC binary and it'd be faster, so that's not going to be a for a little while.

Once it's all set up at home, I'll add another 750 ti, and then a 7950. This will be a cracking little miner which will hopefully turn a wee profit slowly. The only issue I foresee is that these 750 tis are Nvidia chips, and the 7950 is AMD, so I might have to work around some driver conflicts but it shouldn't be too hard.

Absolutely. I had a year-odd year hiatus from the game and I just recently came back, and I'm loving it.

Cata was decent, but honestly if they had done MoP before TBC, which was the original plan according to Metzer, it would have been better and flowed more properly

I have no idea on how Warlords stacks up, but since its Warlords of Draenor, it should logically come after TBC.
 
Mechanics:
I hate the talent changes, they are shit
I hate the Class Changes, they are also shit.
 
I said a few years ago that they are dumbing down the game so that it can run with minimal maintenance as they work on the next big MMO, and the more they focus on PVP and Raiding, the more that comes true.

Sennex makes some good points but personally for me, I care very little about lore or stories. I come to the game to make gold and kill shit. The motives behind that are mostly irrelevant for me.
 
Yes the game has been dumbed down immensely but it also makes it much more casual. Viewing the game as it once was is just going to piss you off. Instead, view it as a game you can sit down and enjoy for a bit without having to read spread sheets and books of articles to suss out mechanics and stuff. Yes it's all still there but it's not as hard as it once was.
 
That said, I do miss some of that so will probably make a toon on that private server he mentioned so I can enjoy the less dumbede down aspects of the game too.

It'll cost me about £40 to do so. 
 
I haven't played in a while up until 2 months ago I started playing for a bit again but got quite bored with leveling up from 1. My account has all expansions up to Cataclysm but I was wondering if it was worth me buying MoP and WoD and getting the free level 90 so I can experience what WoW is really about. The only thing is is that I won't have any gold, I could transfer my old char over but that costs £35 altogether and I don't think thats worth it.

Seen that seller on ebay also, can not say if they are licenced or not, my guess is they get them direct from cheaper regional licenced stores, stores like Nuuvem and then resells them on ebay. Or they have a conection and are getting the code/voucher code promotions from the AMD GPU's.
 
My guess would be the the region liceneced cd key retialers (game prices are cheaper in other regions) and many publishers and drms's including steam and origin will adjust the prices according to region. For example Nuuvem is a brazillian store so keys they get direct from the publishers will be priced according to that region even though many people outside that region will buy them to save money. (There is suggestion that they are not intended for international buyers but from what I have seen many people will buy this way) Sometimes they will region lock codes like this but that depends on the actual publisher choosing to do that.
 
Other example would be a connection in the cryptocoin industry or hardware industry who will be supplying them with bulk AMD voucher codes for the game beacuase they are mass buying AMD gpu's to build crypto coin machines or building PC's to sell. ( this is aimed only at battlefield 4 )
 
In short the seller you linked will be selling legit codes from one of the two methods above is what I woudl speculate.
 
Here is that brazillian licenced store http://www.nuuvem.com , they get game keys direct from publishers, make sure to transale the website and check for any region lock warning if you decide to buy from sites like this. If you convert the prices back to GBP you will see that a lot of games will be cheaper.
 
For example they offer Battlefield 4 for 109 Brazilian Real right now, that equates to about £28 GBP, they will of most likely had a discount promotion in the past thus making it even cheaper, or ebay stores like you linked might make a deal to buy  bulk codes from sites like this that get the codes direct from the game publishers at reduced region prices.
 
If you want the best deals on games from licenced sellers and you use reddit I recommend keeping an eye on http://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/ they will include deals from all region stores. And explain about any regional locks etc
 
Its likely that ebay sellers like you linked if not licenenced are cutting deals for bulk codes from these kind of sites.
 
There is a few other websites that will give you the best gaming deals from around the globe also.

As for a site like Nuuvem well I have not bought from them personally buy know a few people who do, I do not think they take paypal but will take credit card and going by the gamedeals section on reddit lots of other people do as they are always in the hot section with people saying they bought in the comments, I do not think they are suppose to sell to people outide that region technically, but Im just suggesting where these cheap codes come from. And no you won't get banned for buying a code and activating it from anyone, even if you bought a code from ebay from a new ebay seller that happened to buy codes with a stolen credit card then resell them on ebay your game would just get removed from your account. This has happened with humble store games on mass recently, your game would just get removed from your library.
 
I do not think there is much stores like Nuuvem can do to stop international buyers, I mean they have to take a payment method which is widely used, and they only way they can stop international buyers is the publisher puttign a region lock on the code, which does happen with some games.
 
Its the same with Amazon digital sale games for PC, many of these codes on Amazon will be cheaper on the US store but state only for buyers with an American billing address, there is an easy way around this which many people use, to get the the region free codes from the Amazon US store

When it goes down; it usually costs £2.99 which is exceptional value. I picked mine up before Xmas at that price and it was the same in the winter sale. I reckon it will drop in the next big sale which can't be too far away. Add it too your wishlist and you get notified if the price drops.
