    No one likes the DMRs I see. Currently I'm using the ACE 53 SV and I like it so far. The other classes of guns not too sure yet since I have not used any but the defaults.

    Today's chat will be on making a factory stock gun better.  Almost any factory firearm can be improved, because its built for anyone and everyone, not specific to you.  Changes in grip, trigger feel, sights, etc. can really make a difference in how you shoot a particular gun because of how it fits in your hand, how you see the sights, how intuitively the trigger resets for you, etc.
     
    I took my Gen 3 Glock 22, a gun which was issued to be my the PD and that I bought when we went to Gen 4's and had a trigger job done and installed a grip angle adapter.  This is a gun that I normally shot grapefruit sized groups with at 7 yards.  I shrunk it by about half with $100 in modifications.
     

     
    That is a 30 round group, 29 of which are in 3.9", 24 of which are in 2.4" group. Freehand, less than half a second between shots, 3 strings of 10. The one flier is 100% my fault because I wasn't ready for how short and light the followup shot was going to be at first. This was at 7 yards at an indoor range today using American Eagle 180gr FMJ.
     

     
    The head shots are with a FNS-40, which I'll do a write up on when I have more time.  Same ammo, same range, etc.
     

     
    ..and finally, presentation drills with the P220.  This is going from the low ready to firing a single shot in double action as soon as you can find the front sight.  This drill is for speed, not pinpoint accuracy.  My instructors will say if everything is in the "A" box, you're going to slow and need to push yourself faster because at this close of a distance you need to get rounds on target fast.
     
    That burned up my half hour by the time I picked up all my brass, so no accuracy drill with the P220 today.

    The M416 is a really good gun. Used it until I got the AUG.
    Sniper I used the M40 until I got the SSR.
    Carbine I like the Ace23 and the AK5c.

    Drifter pretty well covered it.  There's a big difference between 'without any money' and 'with some money'.  That's why I said you have to find the floor, the bare minimum amount of income you need to live how you want to live, and then explore the options that will meet that need.
     
    I would also add, think of your future.  Not many folks want to work until they die.  If you can live on $20k but make $35k, that's a lot of money you can put back to retire.  I plan to retire at 52, thanks both to a pension and to living below my income level.

    So I just registered to two other forums for GM Fullsize trucks and Desert trucks. I do all the registering and introduction. And on one of the forums I still have yet to be accepted (so I can't make posts, view profiles, update my profile, etc...) I have emailed the admins and nothing. The other site still has not acknowledge me on the introduction, but I was able to reply in a thread that was already made about product reviews. So I mention a product that I have used and what I thought. Then a moderator deletes my post and bans me. He then unbanned me and said sorry because he thought I was a spammer. Mind you have already done an introduction and registered.
     
    What I'm getting at will all of this, I'm so glad that this forum is not like that. Very friendly and will acknowledge new people as they join.

    Anything official such as the COD forums or some of the discussions in the Steam community should be avoided like the plague!
     
    You make a logical post and refresh and suddenly it's down to page 6.  You have people posting/spamming the same moans or questions and the mods do nothing/can't handle the influx.
     
    This forum has a fine balance of numbers, quality of posts and friendliness. We also have a young chap called Dylan.
     
    FG rocks - what more could you possibly want!?

    Since I have been using the Bulldog on Ghosts I have had so many ragers complaining about me. With that in mind there were 4 of us in a party and we all ran Bulldogs. Lets just say there was laughing and giggling because bodies were thrown across the map with shotgun shells. (well I exaggerated but you know what I mean by just a few feet backwards). I would say give it a go and run and gun with the Bulldog to give that slight challenge but yet still have a good time.

    I feel we get ripped off everytime for DLC. When they redo an old map and claim its a new map. So really we are getting 3 new maps and 1 old map. Its disappointing that both developers do this.

    I think the dlc looks awesome, plus they are telling us its a redo of a map so it's not like they're lying. I agree though, if they're redoing maps then give them as a free download like the piece of shit terminal on MW3.

    I do not agree one bit with that reasoning. ANY breed of dog can be potentially damgerous if it is mistreated or not trained properly. So saying that a dog should be muzzeled because it is potentially dangerous is simply an overreaction blanket law. Blaming a breed of dog is no different than blaming a young child for being a problem child when in fact the blame lies 100% on the parents for not teaching the child right from wrong or showing them any discipline. Same with dogs, saying a breed of dogs is potentially dangerous is misguided blame. Even what could be considered a "non dangerous" breed could kill someone. It is all about how the animal is raised, it has nothing to do with the breed.

    Let's take some time to talk about kids and guns.  Recent events that have come through my office have made this a front runner in my mind.
     
    Do NOT EVER NOT EVEN FOR A FUCKING SECOND LAY YOUR GUN DOWN WHERE A KID CAN REACH IT.  I don't care that you can see it.  I don't care you don't think you're kid can see it.  DO NOT FUCKING EVER DO THIS.
     
    Why Doc?  Because your kid can reach for his chocolate milk and instead end up shooting himself through the face, which is fatal.  This will result in a dead child, a feeling of being a total asshole for the rest of your life, as well as possible criminal charges.
     
     
    There is no god damned reason to ever ever fucking ever leave a loaded firearm unattended and unsecure if kids are in your house or the possibility exists of kids in your house.  Never fucking ever ever fucking ever.  If you're concerned enough about a home invasion to constantly have a firearm at hand, carry it like you do out of your house.  In a secure holster.  I carry a snub nose revolver any time I'm not under water but I don't lay it down and walk away from it, its in a pocket holster or ankle holster at all times.
