100% convinced this is a thing now. I was Barca vs PSG online and I hit the woodwork 4 times and had 3 one on one's saved, all in the first half. I eventually went 3 0 up in the 2nd half before 3 goals in the last 20 mins made it finish 3 3 despite me absolutely dominating and battering. Wtf?

Wasn't there a 'momentum' factor they put into the game a few years back now? I remember it years back when I dabbled in a bit of Pro Clubs. I wouldn't even be surprise if it was on games like Overwatch too....

I'm sure of something like that too but whenever I see it mentioned in tweets, interviews etc its outright denied that any type of those mechanics are in the game

Oh totally there as it's never been denied as far as I can see on a quick search. I miss FIFA 95 on the mega drive.

I would never ever trust an AAA multiplayer game these days. If you find yourself on the receiving end of FIFA's BS (scripting) EA want to entice you to buy Ultimate Team packs under the illusion that new/better players may prevent this crap from happening in-game. Bullshit happens for a reason and to encourage you to get your wallet out to seemingly counter it. There is probably a lot of shady shit going on and it's all to make more money.

Tbf, I wouldn't doubt that Konami have some form of scripting in PES too you know. Its just that their gameplay is way more fluid and not all about stupid ridiculous skills in FIFA and their loot box Ultimate Team packs.

 

Also, you can't just not trust all AAA developers. I don't think its that clear cut. Invest and believe in a developer that you enjoy their games, enough to make you feel good. Not all game developers are bad.
