  1. Another game that's been revealed from the 2023 Playstation Showcase. We should probably call this Starship Troopers really shouldn't we? 😎 First one was an underrated third party game from what I recall and this looks like they wanting to build hard on that success. Coming to PS5 and PC. Thoughts everyone?
  2. Whats everyone's thoughts to Heatsink or standard? People are saying it seems to not make much diffeence but interested if anyone has already got additional SSD storage as these games are getting bigger and bigger by the day! I think i'll have to save to get a 2TB one because I fear 1TB will just fill up really quickly with most of the latest games nearing 100GB or way more in some instances. Cheers!
  3. From EA Originals (so you know, brace yourself 😄) a new single player, FPS. The developers have made Dead Space remake though and that has had rave reviews, so it could be a potential hit and there is some vibrant gameplay on the trailer below. Out on July 20th 2023, I imagine on all platforms as its from EA. Thoughts everyone?
  4. We noticed there are some chats that people aren't apart of and wanted to see if anyone wants to join them. Obviously any new chat recommendations are always welcome. Thanks!

  6. @fg_cal told us that Playstation were doing their end of year Wrap Up which let's you see what you've played over the year, how many hours, days, etc. It's actually a quick fun thing to do AND you get some free PSN download rewards with it like emblems and a wallpaper. I was thinking we share what we got, and maybe I can find a way to total up what FG have done and played over 2019? A little fun doesnt hurt, does it? Dont answer that @Nutcuttlit 😉 Link is below. Let us know what you got! PlayStation 2019 Wrap-Up WWW.PLAYSTATION.COM
  7. PlayStation 5: Sony reveals first details of next-gen console Sony has finally released the first details about its next PlayStation console. Gamers have been waiting patiently to find out any information about PS4's replacement, but until now details have been kept firmly under wraps. Now Sony's system architect Mark Cerny has released information about what the "next-gen console" will look like. In an interview with Wired, he reveals it will be much faster, more powerful and include improved audio. But don't expect to be able to buy one in 2019 - you'll have to wait until at least next year to see it on shelves. Below, we outline all the new details we know about the PlayStation 5 so far, as well as the questions we still want answered. Much faster loading times Good news for avid PlayStation users - the new console will include a high-speed solid-state hard drive (SSD). While that won't mean much to a lot of people, the point of the SSD is to dramatically reduce things like loading times - which will make everyone's gaming experience a bit better. For example, when playing Spider-Man on a PS4 it can take 15 seconds to fast travel between different locations. Cerny gave Wired a demonstration that showed the same task taking just 0.8 seconds on the new machine. "No matter how powered up you get as Spider-Man, you can never go any faster than this," he says about the PlayStation 4. "That's simply how fast we can get the data off the hard drive." Improved audio Another big focus for the next-gen console is 3D audio. Cerny tells Wired that as a gamer himself he was left frustrated that there wasn't much change in audio between PS3 and PS4. "With the next console the dream is to show how dramatically different the audio experience can be," he says. PS5 (which isn't the official name of the new console) will see gamers being immersed in audio from above, behind and from the side, according to Cerny, and will be experienced best through headphones. Enhanced visual experience The next PlayStation supports ray-tracing graphics - the first time a game console has ever managed graphics like it, Cerny says. They're usually used in Hollywood special effects, and occasionally in high-end processors. It means users of the next-gen PlayStation will receive much better, and more realistic, visuals. It's also worth noting that while the PS5 will have all of these improvements, you don't need to worry about compatibility with PS4 games. The new console will still take physical discs, and gamers can still play PlayStation 4 games on the new console. What we don't know All the details that have been released so far are about hardware. We still don't know: When it will be released - although Cerny says it won't be this year, so don't expect to get your hands on one in 2019. How much it will cost. The name of the console. It's already being dubbed the PlayStation 5, but Cerny hasn't confirmed its official name - yet. Source: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-47953213
  8. Last night was a nightmare. Now it still got issues with PSN. Friends system seems completely messed up. Chris said I was online while I was at work?! And on GTA Friday too 😤
  9. Just received an email for 25% off a 12 month subscription for PS Plus - £37.49. PS Plus 25% Off in store Ends 23rd March 10am GMT
  10. How and why I couldn't find a thread on this seems strange as I thought I put up the E3 video somewhere. This game is going to be epic, but heard today it is more likely to have a 2019 release date. Bummer. I'm really hoping to here more about it and what the MP has on offer. No doubt the SP campaign will be a killer like the first. E3 Trailer
  11. Microsoft is considering allowing cross play with any platform or PC https://www.vg247.com/2017/08/29/microsofts-open-invitation-to-valve-nintendo-and-others-to-join-xbox-one-and-pc-crossplay/
  12. The annual price is hiking up as of 31st August from £39.99 to £49.99. Well, that's pretty shitty if you ask me but now I can understand why they've just released much better games on PS Plus this month. Still though, it doesn't seem reflective of what PSN functionality. They need to being LFG in console and gifting games, both are fully intergrated with Xbox.
  13. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, “B.J. Blazkowicz” is back fighting Nazis who control America in an alternate 1961. Game releases on October 27th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

    PS5

Well it's been talked about over the last few days that it is coming in 2018. There may be hints at E3 and the analyst that predicted ps4 pro and slim says 2018 is the year. Feels kinda soon to me. We've only just had the Pro out so just seems a little odd that we'd have another console to look to. If it is I don't think game developers are with the curve so it I would wait til 2019. Maybe they feel Microsoft forced their hand with the Scorpio. For once i cant seeing me supporting any of those consoles initially.
  15. It's in beta testing currently and will look to support up to 8TB drives. No more deleting! Honestly, can't say how explain how happy I am about this. Reinstalling games that takes forever is so annoying and stops me playing games with some of you guys just because I haven't got the space. More space to capture videos too. Saving your own wallpaper is also in the beta test and saving a status update to your PSN. I better start looking into 8TB drives then.
  16. In short, external hard drives are now live to use min 250GB upto 8TB. Also, you can now make a chat party private to public and vice versa AFTER it has been created. That was one little annoying one that happens when you directly start a chat from your friends list. Glad they've fixed it. You can also add your own screenshots to the backdrop and attach them to the 'What's New' section. Really good update overall.
  17. Sony has announced that the price of a one year subscription to PlayStation Plus will be raised to $59.99 USD / $69.99 CAD in North America and Canada respectively on the 22nd September. As well as that, a three month subscription will soon set you back an extra $8 as the asking price increases to $24.99 USD / $29.99 CAD. The monthly plan will remain at $9.99 in the US, but Canadians can now expect to pay $11.99 a month. Sony says that the price increase is due to current market conditions: "PlayStation Plus strives to enrich your PlayStation experience through a world-class service built for our fans. This marks the first time that PS Plus membership prices will increase in the U.S. and Canada since the launch of the service in 2010. The new pricing reflects the current market conditions while enabling us to continue providing exceptional value to our members." No news on Europe or Japan but it seems ominous that it's only going one way.
  18. Just been on this for the first time and wtf... There's games being streamed yes, then there's people streaming playing the playroom, but nit actually playing anything, just using it like a webcam... Been on it 5 mins and I've seen some fat guys smoking weed, a guy getting tattooed, and 2 Japanese girls jumping on the bed. Other than that it's a decent addition to playstation, a couple of streams I clicked on were decent, I'm sure it will get bigger as time goes on too...
  19. Show your best classes from COD: Ghosts... I start this thread because im interested in what you guys are having success with, but more so im struggling for ideas of an all round class... remember the days of mw2 BO2 you had: Primary: Secondary: Lethal: Tactical: P1: P2: Quickdraw P3: Stalker (I cant live without the 2 above perks, so my options are quite limited unfortunately as they take up 6 perk points) I want something similar, the way it is now im never using any grenades because perks are so important, I want to make use of everything so I need to make a few old school classes, any ideas?
  20. Anonymous development sources say PlayStation 4 is up to 50 percent faster than the Xbox One in certain key areas. Anonymous developer sources have indicated that the PlayStation 4 is "noticeably faster" than the Xbox One in key performance areas, according to UK magazine Edge. Memory reads on PlayStation 4 are 40-50 percent faster than Xbox One, says the report, and the arithmetic logic unit (ALU) on Sony's graphic card is also said to be twice as fast than its next-gen competition. A basic example given by one developer is that a current multiplatform title can run at a resolution of 1920x1020 at 30fps on PlayStation 4, but that on Xbox One the framerate will drop to 20-something at the lower resolution of 1600x900. “Xbox One is weaker and it's a pain to use its ESRAM,” added another developer. Microsoft's efforts to bump up the specifications of the Xbox One--such as beefing up the processor to 1.75GHz from 1.6GHz--are said to have been done in an effort to close the gap between the two next-gen consoles. Both Microsoft and Sony are said to be working on improving their graphics drivers, too, and will continue doing so right up until launch and beyond. Xbox One is said to be faster in other areas, however. “Let’s say you are using procedural generation or raytracing via parametric surfaces--that is, using a lot of memory writes and not much texturing or ALU--Xbox One will be likely be faster,” concluded one developer. The Edge report concludes that there will be little performance difference between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launch titles, as developers struggle to hit tight deadlines, and adds that ensuring parity between console version could become a political matter, with publishers not wanting to upset either platform holder by releasing inferior versions. One developer added that it rarely makes financial sense to optimise a multiplatform game for one particular platform. “It would be totally fine for us to make one version prettier without any political difficulties but it usually doesn't make financial sense,” said the developer, “unless it’s a very simple tweak.” Microsoft will launch the Xbox One on November 22, with Sony opting to release the PlayStation 4 in North America on November 15 and on November 29 in Europe.
