Any PC players tried this out? Its coming out on Tuesday (30th August) for PS4 with the xbox version being slightly delayed. It has a very good rating on steam and its a World War 1 FPS so I'm pretty bemused to why it hasn't been talked about. Clearly is the only alternative to the upcoming BF1 which I'm sure it won't match up but nevertheless it looks a solid FPS. Verdun Console Announcement Trailer
  3. Okay, so after a hard hitting backlash of feedback sent to the Developers, Respawn have comeout with lots of updates to this week's technical test. Would be good to know your thoughts on whether this will make a difference this weekend or not. ---------------------------------- Over this past weekend, we’ve heard a lot of passionate feedback from Titanfall fans. Even though the Tech Test build is a couple months old, we learned some valuable things based on your feedback. Some of these changes have already been addressed and will be updated for weekend two of the tech test, with other changes making it into the final game. Pilot Mobility Many players are wondering why we changed the mobility from Titanfall 1. We identified two major issues we wanted to solve in Titanfall 2. The first is that a lack of player predictability would often cause players to be shot from the back or sides. While flanking is an important part of gameplay death often felt random instead of skillful. The second issue is that close range firefights were overly chaotic due to erratic player movement. So, changes to pilot mobility stemmed from a desire to improve our gunplay, and not a desire to slow down movement. We’ll be tuning air speed and wall-running speed to be faster. While investigating this point, we discovered some unintended side effects that were causing players to lose momentum while wallrunning. Players should once again accumulate and retain more speed when chaining wallruns. Additionally, we’re testing scaling back some of the dampening factors that were limiting bunny-hopping as we don’t want these restrictions to impact normal traversal. Titan Meter We made some changes in Titanfall 2 with the goal of rewarding players for playing game mode objectives. However, we observed the problem that players can try to play the objective but fail, resulting in slower than intended Titan acquisition. We still want objectives to be the fastest way to get a Titan, but the goal of every player being guaranteed a Titan per match hasn’t changed. Pilots will once again acquire a small passive amount of Titan meter every few seconds. Titan Survivability This is one of the more complex issues to address for several reasons. First, we’ve changed from Titans having energy shields to a new Titan battery system which we believe improves rodeo gameplay and rewards teamwork. In Titanfall 1, rodeo was lethal to Titans, forcing pilots to disembark and engage in a 50 / 50 fight. In Titanfall 2, the rodeo pilot steals a battery and damages an enemy Titan. If they can give that battery to a friendly Titan, the Titan receives a shield and the Pilot gets Titan meter points. As players become more familiar with the system, we expect that Titans will live longer. This is an area we will continue to monitor leading up to launch. Another factor is that the balance of Titan gameplay in the Tech Test build is heavily affected by the limited amount of content we released in the build. For example, some Titans that aren’t in the Tech Test have strong defensive abilities, certain Titan kits provide defensive upgrades, and even Pilots have a boost that can improve Titan defenses. Lastly, there has been a lot of tuning since the Tech Test build that will tone down the amount of damage many weapons deal to Titans. Titan Mobility We’ve reduced the number of baseline dashes by one compared to Titanfall 1, but all Titans have access to a new Titan kit that provides an additional dash. This is to balance new mobility or defensive options available to specific Titans. The Tech Test build, however, doesn’t include our fastest Titans. Despite our confidence in our top-end speed, we have heard your feedback that Ion and Scorch feel too slow. Titan dashes will recharge faster. Map Design Some of our Tech Test players have asked if the relatively flat and open design of Homestead is indicative of a new direction for Titanfall, and the answer is no. When designing maps, we strive to make them unique experiences. For example, Homestead changes things up by creating islands of Pilot gameplay where long-range weapons can be effective. This upcoming weekend a new map, Forwardbase Kodai, will be available for play. There is a wide variety of maps for the final game. We’ll be showcasing more maps over the next couple weeks on our website, including more traditional Titanfall maps. HUD We’ve read feedback about the HUD feeling too busy. At launch Titanfall 2 will have menu options that allow players to turn these features on or off based on their individual preferences. Additionally, there have been concerns about enemy outlines making players too easy to see at a distance. We think this is an important feature for friend or foe identification with the substantial amount of visual customization that will be available at launch in Titanfall 2. We’re going to bring in the fade distance for enemy outlines so they don’t reveal pilots at extreme distances.
  4. The first few minutes of Angry Joe vids always get a good giggle from me Most players need goals and targets. Mission based games have succeeded hugely, just look at Destiny and Warframe. I really still like the look of it but without missions I think I'd be a little lost.
  5. New DLC Trailer looks pretty awesome. The boss fights always seem to impress me in these games. Dark Souls 3 DLC Trailer
  6. New PvP 3v3 game out from makers of Sleeping Dogs. Smash & Grab Trailer Didn't know where to put it as it's not really a shooter but has similar traits in it. Looks like a pretty decent concept providing looting has its variety of ways to get the cash. Out on PC in September and there is alsoa potential for early access via Steam.
  7. Artefacts Gameplay and Info These do look like they will change Crucible games and sone PvE content in maby different ways. I'd love to know if Shoulder Charge can work with Jolder (perm running) as that would be really cool. Grouping up could actually see more interaction with the support abilities too. I'm just hoping it won't push the tryhards even further away in Trials of Osiris. I'm super excited for all this though!
  8. I don't focus on the Bandit trick if I'm honest. I use I'm because he can lock down a wall to slow teams down whilst I roam around. His gun is second to none for me with the ACOG sights. I also find Thatcher doesn't get used much which makes him viable imo.
  9. W/C 23rd August Weekly Nightfall The Undying Mind is back again this week, with Void burn and modifiers Berserk, Specialist, and Juggler. Berserk prevents enemies from flinching, even after massive damage. Specialist grants bonus damage to special weapons. Juggler makes it so you never get ammo drops for the weapon type you have equipped. Court of Oryx Balwur, Daughter of Savathun is the tier 3 boss this week, but it’s not too hard. Prison of Elders -Level 32: Urrox’s Grudge -Level 34: The Forever Eater Sterling Treasure Every new week brings more chances for you to earn Sterling Treasure chests. You get a free one just by visiting the Postmaster at the Tower or the Reef. Two more can be earned during the week, once for completing a match in the weekly Crucible playlist, and another when you finish a full game of a Level 41 Prison of Elders. Kings Fall Raid Challenge Warpriest is inviting challengers this week.
  10. Sony has announced that the price of a one year subscription to PlayStation Plus will be raised to $59.99 USD / $69.99 CAD in North America and Canada respectively on the 22nd September. As well as that, a three month subscription will soon set you back an extra $8 as the asking price increases to $24.99 USD / $29.99 CAD. The monthly plan will remain at $9.99 in the US, but Canadians can now expect to pay $11.99 a month. Sony says that the price increase is due to current market conditions: "PlayStation Plus strives to enrich your PlayStation experience through a world-class service built for our fans. This marks the first time that PS Plus membership prices will increase in the U.S. and Canada since the launch of the service in 2010. The new pricing reflects the current market conditions while enabling us to continue providing exceptional value to our members." No news on Europe or Japan but it seems ominous that it's only going one way.
  11. This actually excites me. The idea a sniper can't get you in difficult conditions is great so it pushes people to play more different play styles. ----------------------------------------------------------- Battlefield 1 players will have to work with the cards dealt to them by Mother Nature's unpredictable hand, as EA and DICE laid out in a new blog post. There's only one explanation for why the weather is so much more impressive in Battlefield 1 than in all of the Battlefield games that, historically speaking, follow it: the advent of secret government weather control programs between World War 1 and World War 2. Back then a clear day with perfect visibility for snipers could quickly turn into a wet mess ideal for moving under the cover of rainfall. Then a fog could pick up, and only the most skilled (or foolhardy) pilots would remain in the air rather than land and grab a shotgun for close-up manhunts. But the light sprinkles and mists of a French morning are paltry next to a blinding sandstorm in the Sinai Desert, as Battlefield 1's Gamescom 2016 trailer proved. According to DICE, you'll still technically be able to fly during a sandstorm, but the density of the whipping sands will make it very difficult. If you do manage to avoid parking face-first in a sand dune, ground troops will have a difficult time seeing you well enough to shoot you down. Back in Europe, you'll be able to escape the clinging fog of an Italian valley by climbing up onto the sloping Alps. Just make sure you're not escaping directly into a camping marksman's sights. All of these weather conditions will occur (or not) randomly based on each map's unique characteristics. It should keep online battles interesting, though I hope for the competitive purist's sake that they be can disabled for custom matches. You'll be able to watch your machine gun get all rainy when the Battlefield 1 open beta begins on August 31.
  12. Do it Rob, that would be great. I'm pretty sure there's still quite a few that haven't done that.
  13. You do realise this will be on VR too. That will be pretty horrific experience but pulls me in even more just to have a go.
  14. You can still play this weekend coming. Let's see if they can change stuff just a week later though
  15. Its such a shame PES do Co-Op Seasons. I'd rather play PES due to tye latest gameplay but FIFA seems to just wipe it clean out of the water when it comes to online play. May get my pennies out so we can sort out to dip into co-op seasons and Pro Clubs. Do we still have a Pro Club team?
  16. Well this furmly blows no man sky landings out of the water. The first 12 minutes are brilliant. Star Citizen 3.0 Gameplay There's now 4/5 planets to travel and trade to in the 3.0 version. When this finally comes out I could be convinced to get a PC.
  17. Snippet of gameplay and a nice slick transformation technique we don't see in many other games. Jury is still out on this one though, Bethesda better work hard to get the final package on AAA standard. Prey Gameplay
  18. Calendar now has Beta dates in there for Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1. You can say you're attending and also follow the calendar stream so you can get all updates - we should add all of these betas on here so we don't miss them. Once we get an update to get a proper feed to your mobile calendar sorted the Follow link and RSVP system should work pretty well. Hope this is a little help to your busy gaming lives!

  22. Private Matches people....this will be sooo much fun, we need to get something regular going inbetween new quests and the new Raid. Can't post properly as I'm on my mobile but Bungie update below. Who's in?! ----------------------------------- SIGN IN JOIN UP News // Destiny This Week at Bungie – 08/18/2016 10h - Cozmo This week at Bungie we revealed Private Matches. We’ve been so eager to finally share with you the long-awaited Crucible feature you’ve all been clamoring for. You may have thought we would save that juicy piece of info for the very end of the stream, but we had kept the secret for long enough. That's why we dropped it in the first 15 seconds of the ViDoc, Forged in Fire, that rolled at the beginning of the stream. If you haven’t watched it already, it tells a great story about everything that awaits you in Rise of Iron. Go and watch it now. We’ll wait. After kicking off the livestream with the ViDoc, DeeJ, Lars Bakken, and Steve Cotton took a dive into the details of Private Matches and Supremacy, a new Crucible Game Type in Rise of Iron. Two teams made up of community members and Destiny team players battled each other in the world first “public” Private Match. If you missed the stream, you can also watch it right here. Again, we’ll wait Private Match Makers We knew as soon as you learned of the ability to easily organize matches in Destiny that your imaginations would run wild. We made sure you had some guidelines ready for those of you who fancied yourselves event organizers who wanted to host a tournament. If that sounds like you, give our Competition License a read before you start. If you're looking to join a thriving competitive scene, rather than build your own, our old friends at MLG are welcoming Destiny Clans to register for a shot at glory on GameBattles.
  23. Thanks Rob. Do you have any ability to move them or make them a different size?
  24. Nice one, thanks for sharing....just wish I was back from holiday for these. May catch the end of next week's technical test.
  25. House is a funny one for me. I enjoy defending more just generally, however i struggle on this map. I think its built for more Shotguns and me running Bandit may not help as much. On the other hand, attacking is grest fun with Ash. I usually go straight through Garage regardless of where it is as then I can act as a decoy away from the group. You usually find a roamer near the basement too.
