  1. Don't get me wrong, my statement is factual and with no emotional connection to it. I think its always good to understand how life works - from a 100% business perspective is a shrewd move. From a moral, ethical point of view, its not needed in any way. Amazon have enough money in my eyes as they have effectively created one of the best way for people to shop in 2024 - again, I say 'best' knowing its subjective, but I mean in a factual sense because we benefit from ease of use, although I really do miss going to Gamestation and browsing all the physical games available. I think they've been one of the few that are able to speculate to accumulate companies, that allow them to offset costs from different bits like films, tv series creations, through people sending in Prime memberships when I bet most people don't even make full use of quick deliveries like we do in our house. I think maybe I should have led with this as when you start comparing services, then you start to create the thoughts if a subscription is something I should pay for or not. Against Netflix, Disney and the rest, none of them give me what I regularly use on Amazon. And as you say Rich, weirdly, Amazon seems to be cheaper, not many restrictions to watching their service, etc. Its a good thread to get peoples views on this stuff. I'm still interested in if anyone has a free service like YouTube, do they pay to get rid of ads at all? Just a really interesting subject as years ago, FG was gonna have ads on here but I never wanted them but you then do have to rely on the goodness of peoples hearts to care about being around and donating to keep stuff rolling. Clearly the big corps don't need to do that as much know but its clear to see adverts must be an absolute monumental money spinner in this day and age for them.
  2. Received an email yesterday saying no charge increase but adverts will be played from Feb 5th. If you don't want to see them an ad-free option of £2.99 a month is available. I don't think many are bothered about adverts. Sure, its annoying but as long as its similar to youtube where you can skip them and it isn't every 10 minutes into a film, I can cope with that. Clever marketing though offering just £3 a month which pretty much every human being earning can afford, even though they are already taking the Prime membership off you for the facility of using Video alongside Prime deliveries. Taking everything into account (I can't beleive I'm saying this) but as subscriptions go for what you get back, the Amazon Prime one is the one we just wouldn't get rid because it gives you something across multiple services (Next-Day delivery, etc). Just wondered what other people thought about this? Do people pay stuff like £3 a month to get rid of ads because its less than buying one coffee a month?
  3. @jordie1892, Interstellar! Yes, love that film. This is probably why we're all finding it hard to say a 'top 3'. I think I just have films I class as awesome and want to watch over and over!
  4. It really is the worst - however, change it to Single Shot mode and with a few attachments I was actually doing far better with it, and far more stable that way.
  5. Good point, I need to find one for me too. I may look at a few more gun camos before I do though so I have 3-4 loadouts I can just go to whenever I need to. I feel like I only have 1-2 I can use when I need to pull my ass out of the shit zone 😅
  6. I think we all agree on that then @techno and @Middle Class Caveman, but we're only a few people that play a specific part online whereas they'll be many people out there that would say scrap the campaign and just have GTA Online part, given how huge it is. I would love to see some or all of the campaign drift into the Online side. We have heists, which work extremely well. I can't see why they can't do exclusive private Online sessions for the campaign missions they want to lock down for you when they don't want you to have help on it.
  7. Ready Player One is in my top 5-10 films too @Luseth, it is really hard to pick just a top 3 given we can easily watch so many these days over and over 😄 @Middle Class Caveman, I'd actually put the last Harry Potter film up there. I think as the films went on, they got darker and bigger budgets. HP7 Part 2 is the main one we always go back and watch out of all of them.
  8. Whaaaa?! Is that the ultimate final skin Gaz?? @techno Fair play mate, thats class going on that. I wonder how easy it is to work towards others at all? Are there unique challenges you can do for more camos and calling cards?
  9. Happy New Year to all you FGers. Lets go and smash 2024 together 👊❤️🖤
  10. Real Steel Big Hero 6 Avengers Endgame I love loads of different films, including dark, intricate plots, etc...but feel good, easy to watch films will always be what I love. Watch them so many more times than the Oscar winning films. Matrix is up there, and I actually think True Lies and the new Tetris is in the mix too.
  11. Separate nights. So far I can only see we can do 'Playoff Nights' when its that time of the month. I'm thinking we do some more tournaments for fun - maybe a solo one but a duo one too as I think you can do 2v2 can't you on FC24?
  12. Last few nights FG went on another flying winstreak. Mitch, @Lurchzy, @Macca89, @Luseth, @Greboth were on board and last night it ended at around 35 for me with the same peeps including @Misneach_ and @LordBaguette. A great game where we were 98-0 down on Terminal and flipped it around to win 250-221. Even a late game on Highrise would you believe was losing for half the game on Domination but managed to turn the tide to win by around a small 15 points in the end. Trying to fend off the opposition on Point B on that map is a nightmare. Can't believe I have to sing Tom's praises but Smoke grenades have super helped in tight games when you want to lockdown a flag or a hardpoint.
  13. I kind of get what you mean @Middle Class Caveman, the open world is incredible large, and in fairness, requested by public demand. I think that works fantastically well for GTA Online. Campaign wise I kind of got bored after a few missions and wanted to go off-piste with mates. The Heists they created in GTA5 were class and hope more of that formula will exist moving forward. Lets hope Online mode will be released at launch and not just the campaign in Q1 2025.
  14. Carl @TurboR56Mini said this game would be hilarious for FG. Do we know its roadmap and when it comes out of early access?
  15. I like the idea - although would love more to get involved too so FC24 could be played on different nights whenever people wanted to, rather than just MNF. Separate question that is though 😄
  16. DMZ really was a big plus that Call of Duty have created - I'm not sure incorporating this with the Zombies mode really makes it worthwhile, but I suppose it gives Zombies modes abit more playability now. I think they should create more of the 'Raids' they did which sat on the DMZ world as we would know it. Complex missions that got you doing different objectives is definitely the way to go. Probably will get more playability than the MW3 campaign...
  17. Class finish - shame it was in the wrong goal 🤣🤣🤣 Great thread @tronic44!
  18. Ted Hankey. Absolutely off the rails. And a nonce too now 🙈
  19. Hmm, not sure I agree with the comparison. They've just been better from a business POV on how they've released stuff in MW3. They've held back loads of gamemodes and ALL new maps so when they release content 3,6,9 months in, it feels really fresh in comparison to a feeling we all have when we get a reprised map - initial nostalgia and then quickly want something new as we work it out quickly. Private Matches just show they have held back a ton of gamemodes which I really hope we get to see them in Season 2. Anyone tried out many of the new guns out in Season 1? I don't think I've tried any yet, slowly working through the launch ones. I've still enjoyed this season a lot though. Lots of FGers on to group up and make it an enjoyable experience. 2 things could be better for next Season for me: 1) The Events haven't been anywhere near engaging as MW2 ones so far and 2) Highrise can get permanently deleted.
  20. Reading that makes me want it. How big was the world and game, mate? I'll add it to my wishlist for 2024.
  21. Maybe. But Devs have poured years of work into it and they'll be a contract to keep putting more into it. I think they should and see it where it takes them. There's a market for single player games - thats clear on how well some of the games in that space we have had over the past 18 months. However, a game with the open world scale this has, just feels off putting they didn't focus on somehow enjoying this with your friends. Open world discovery games is where so many people want to experience those moments with other people, not in their own single player contained game. Just my 2p on seeing how the hype has gone quiet very quickly on this.
  22. Equaliser 3. I enjoyed it, always have these type of films with Denzel. Its not all about the action in how I enjoy his role, its his methodologies and process in how you see his subtle looks and moves towards things. A decent alternative to Taken series with Liam Neeson imo.
  23. It seems a hit with some online, which is impressive given it has virtually no marketing whatsoever. Gigz who used to play Destiny PvP raves about it a hell of a lot.
  24. I think the price tag is a little offputting, if it could be less than £30 for a PC game that would be more tempting. I love the idea of FGers on this though for sure. @crispymorgan's sweet spot with this too I think.
