  1. More of generalised thought process @Luseth, I'm pretty sure not everything will. When you think of two ways stuff changes, it either evolves or there is a revolution, the revolutionary ideas and ways society drive have becoming far less as we developed all the amazing things we have over the past 200-500 years. So things will evolve and I do think digital media will be the mainstay of what we see, but it evolves over time like you mention about Vinyls and other such physical items in their own categories like gaming, music, etc. You see artists now try to create money through special edition vinyls because they realise they can't make as much money with digital media. And that's where I think most things now get driven by - money. One of the highest, well known games that made a huge profit was Witcher 3, and a lot of that was down to how they packaged their physical media and accessories within it. As I watch prices go up more and more for retro items and things people want to 'own', the key here is that humans enjoy that owning feeling and when its not tangible, they can't see or feel it and that doesn't fill them with joy. Digital will be 80% and 20% will be the specialist items we all want to have in our hands, kind of scenario. So both can be right to a certain extent. Chad @Riff Machine goes into it a little on their latest podcast too after Ubisoft guy went and said the thing you shouldn't say.
  2. I'd agree with this as it seems on the face of it their company are structurally ready to be able to get a new console break into the market. That has been getting harder and harder to do out there...but equally as with everything in the world, it isn't impossible. I really genuinely believe in the world we do have a cyclical process on how we do things though - I can see a world where some games go back to basics, build them all on one disc without digital updates and people will lap them up. Indie games have had a revival and now they are a mainstay of what games many gamers love to watch out for. I feel like a mid-tier group of games set around 30-40 pounds would generate some interest with offline play to keep and play forever. Good marketing tool anyway, just sayin'.
  3. Welcome to FG @Andy_White_07 ! Hopefully its a good thing that Welchy gave some glorious feedback that this place is half decent for your new interwebz home 😄 We do play it from time to time, however before FG I used to play Campaigns on CoD and ended up just not wanting to miss MP nights with any of the FGers that were on. Funny how nearly 99% of our game decisions get created from this ol' place. Hopefully you'll pop in one day soon. Like you'lll see, we have loads here we try to get involved with. You could argue too much sometimes but I like to think theres enough here to keep people busy and call it their home. Looking forward to seeing you around FG and hopefully online too. 😄
  4. Another night of fun races for us all. Ideas for tracks below in the comments please! 😄
  5. I'm sure we spoke recently about this and I'm loving the Command & Conquer vibes as that would always be my underrated special pick to be remastered. Crying out for a game like that with multiple discs of different forces you can be. Hell effin' yes to these. @Findmartin would wholeheartedly agree with you given Master League PES was where it was at for us growing up for years. Timesplitters was an incredible game, campaign and the online multiplayer. One game I felt really really good at too.

  10. They made 'crews' now which I think is 4-6 people and then you can ally with other ships i'm sure so you can all travel the seas together as one big group so I think its all doable now with planning 👍
  11. Yes. Yes. And YES. I already own it on PC via Microsoft but it would be the perfect game to open up to PlayStation from a developer point of view. You can literally have just chill game sessions on it and it can take all night to do a simple step depending on how you play. Open to a whole lot of fun and different ways to play in this Live Service game.
  12. Planet Earth is a phenomenal series and the third one is now out on BBC. Attenborough is a legend in whatever he narrates. If sports docs intrigue you too, The Last Dance is incredibly good. I never followed Basketball at all, just knew about Chicago Bulls when I was a kid but nothing more. An incredible insight to how big Michael Jordan was and transformed the sport. Gaming wise, its not a documentary but a film which is based on a true story (so close enough 😅) would be Tetris. Absolutely superb and learnt something new about the history of it.
  13. I'm personally looking to try and get my PS1 ready to be able to play the original ones again at some point over weekends. They were stellar games back in the day @slamminbones, I agree. For me it was actually the puzzles and abit of the story that sucked me in. I remember once as a teenager being stuck on Tomb Raider 3 round my Nan and Grandads house and all of a sudden I had my Dad, Grandad and Uncle trying to help me get past this certain bit to know where to go. Ahh the days before YouTube was a thing 😄 @WelchyTV, I think it is hard to like remasters if you never grew up with them as I feel like they are always targeted at the crowd that played them before. If you like puzzle type games and work past the graphics (because obviously it won't look and feel the latest gen), then I'd say its a cheap pick up to say the least. Also depends how much you enjoy playing those older games too. I think you have to have a certain brain now to get past the graphical side as lots of younger games switch off if it looks old, which you would expect some of this to be that way.
Great job @WelchyTV, really appreciated! Hope you enjoyed making it too!

  15. Yes its fine to use for just this video @WelchyTV, thanks for offering to do this.
  16. Yes! I saw this a few days ago, and should've shared so thanks for doing that @Luseth! I think its incredible how the way its evolved and also how much love that this game still gets after all those years. I watched this one which gave a bit of a backstory into how the world record and what you physically can aim for in Tetris.
  17. No, we haven't gone. We wanted to, but the cost just meant we couldn't make it work and now our kids are virtually in their teens so I think we've missed the magical boat for this. If anyone can afford the cost, I think its a worthwhile trip for the memories. Just a bit hectic i've heard given how much you have to cram into 1-2 days, alongside the plane journey too. If I see any tips from some of my IRL people i've grown up around, i'll share them here.
Good use of that little spot on Skidrow there!
  18. It's a web app via your browser. Go to FG via your browser and click the browser 3 dots (Best on Chrome I find on your phone). On that menu somewhere it should say Install FG App and it'l do that so you get instant notifications to your phone ❤️🖤
Simply beautiful FGFC. ❤️🖤 Nice work @Macca89 👊
  19. A couple of things initially @Luseth - I think its fantastic you are trying to find ways to keep having a positive life and find some savings from somewhere, life is definitely too short to sit here thinking shoulda, woulda, coulda. In the same breath its a real shame that your hobby that you seem to love so much has to take the hit. If it was me, I'd change the goals to be more like 'principles'. This way you make decisions based on all of the above but it makes you feel like if for some reason a top game you really want comes out, you don't have to feel like you are restricting yourself. Thats just my 2p on that. With me, I always try to not pay full price too with the latest games we play. I'll still get some games through the year on release but thats usually kept for games we've all been talking about and I'm excited to play day 1 with lots of other FGers. I procrastinate naturally, which is truly annoying for me but probably means I don't spend all my money straight away. I can look and talk about a game for months and still not pick it up until I finally get it in the basket....and then sometimes wait for days/weeks again 🤣 Outside of those moments though, I've restricted myself over many years with games, lucky to pick up so many of my retro games at such a cheap price out of bargain bucket Gamestation all those years ago. My hobbies are gaming, FG, then football for my daughters team and Rovers. And with other things, like food, drink, etc, I've just never been into it all so much so games is really where I spend my money...and on FG stuff of course for my stupid sins 🙈😅
  20. Being brutally honest, I need to remind myself what actually comes out this year! 😅 I would love for Destiny 2's conclusion to the Light and Dark saga to be epic as its been 10 years of Destiny and a very good game most of us have played for years doesn't go crap overnight. Would love to just chill and enjoy the different activities on it with others like we used to do. I'm likely to go back and look at my back catalogue and try and complete some games thoroughly too. Do we know if any of the early access games we've played over the past few years are getting big updates? Would love it if Valhalla got one. I'm off to check 2024 game releases...
  21. This is why i'm buying it and looking forward to it even more now I know you can play turn based. I don't know how you coped with the breaking weapons mechanic, killed all the fun I was having on the first one for me!
