  1. Got some more done on the latest build this morning. I like to do a bit different design on each tube chassis I make so did a bit different lay out of the gusset/support bards on the side plates on this one and like how it turned out. Looks funny right now without the cab/upper cage built, but will start on those in a few days when I get time, gotta do some "real work" over the next few days
  2. Still long ways to go but managed to get some more progress done on this one tonight.
  3. Awesome I didn't know Season was was out yet. I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to watch much lately. Now I have Cobra Kai as well as Season 2 of the Witcher to catch up on 🙂
  4. After a few months of parts collecting it's time to dive into this new project. Have pretty much everything now except the esc/motor and parts to make the 4 links, but now can start building the chassis probably tonight.
  5. I got a nice variety of things. COD Vanguard, couple boxes of 9mm ammo, a rifle vise for working on rifles/shotguns that I have been wanting, some slippers, couple fishing calendars, some parts for some of my Rc trucks, a subscription to Guns & Ammo, and a few other various items of clothing/around the house type goods.
  6. Finished the racing seat & driver for the new truck build project I'll be starting soon. I couldn't find a 3D STL file for a driver I liked, so I used a WW2 pilot file I found that had proportions I liked and then modified it a bit. I printed it at 65% infill so that it would be sturdier to work with so I could heat it up and bend it to the positions I liked then ran cold water over it to re-harden it in that position. Sanded down the helmet and added a visor to it to give it more of a race look. Painted up a drivers suit, and made a 5 point harness out of some nylon strapping. Steel tubing should be here by the weekend so I will be starting bending/welding up the chassis soon for this project.
  7. Cool that is good to hear. Are the maps mostly pretty good sized ones? I've never been a fan of the smaller maps on any of the COD games. Ones like Nuketown and Rust were ones that I hated to see come up when I was playing online.
  8. Well I put Vanguard on my Christmas list so got it a couple days ago. Loaded it up yesterday. Holy hell does it take forever to download & install. Just seems wrong to me that you buy a game, yet to play the campaign you have to then download the campaign 🤪 I know why they did it that way, because of the files size, but still just seems wrong lol. So far I have not played online as of yet, just been playing the campaign. Not sure how long the campaign is, but I've been playing for about 2 hrs maybe and so far I'm enjoying it. The section where you fly the plane and dive bomb the battle ships is pretty cool. Prob finish the campaign in a few days and will start playing online and see how that is.
  9. Had a bit of a lull in this project. Lots going on for one thing, then I spent the last month really sick with the rona, and also taking care of my 77 yr old Mom who also has it and spent 10 days in the hospital. Trying to care for her right now is a very time consuming thing. But I'm feeling better myself lately so I finally got back in the shop to do a little work on this to help relieve some of the stress I have right now with everything going on. 3D printed the motor and other related motor parts, made an air filter for the super charger scoop as well as some blower straps and some plug wires made out of PLA filament.
  10. Been about a month since I was on the site so just figured I'd let you guys know I am alive. I ended up getting the rona right before Thanksgiving and was pretty sick for a few weeks with 103f temp for a week straight and unable to even get out of bed for a few days. Took about 3 weeks to get past it all and finally get my energy back but I'm prob about 75-85% back to normal now. My Mom also got it (shes 77) and had to spend 10 days in the hospital. She came home a few days ago and is on oxygen for a bit and I'm having to do everything for her so I still wont be around much for a bit till I can get her back on her feet without needing my assistance. If I don't talk to you guys much before then, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
  11. techno I have not heard of that one. I'll look it up tonight and prob give it a watch. Thanks.
  12. I was not going to get this one, reviews all seem "iffy" at best, but my family needed some Christmas gift ideas for me so I figured what the hell why not, so I'll let them get it for me for Christmas. At least I won't be shelling out the $50 for it myself that way LOL. So we'll see how I like it in about 6 weeks I guess.
  13. Watched the new Netflix movie last night with Ryan Reynolds & the Rock called Red Notice. I liked it, but underwhelmed by it at the same time. It suffered from the same old trap that holly-weird tends to fall into with every movie they make these days. They try to overdo the comedy one liners, especially when Ryan Reynolds is delivering the line. Reynolds can be funny, there were many times he'd say something and I would laugh, but then (and I dunno if they let him ad-lib or what) but after getting a laugh with a line, he'll then say basically the same thing just in a whispering voice and changing the line just a tad. To me that just seems forced. Just deliver the funny line and move on, I hate when someone tries to beat a punchline to death. And I think Dwayne Johnson must have a CGI clause in his contract where every movie has to have X amount of CGI or he wont sign on 😆 His movies always seem to be filled with tons of CGI. And it's kind of a shame because while I don't like that he has started to become so political lately (I think actors should leave out politics) he actually isn't a bad actor, especially in a more serious role. If you look back at his early stuff like Walking Tall, he did a great job in that role. But these days they just have so much CGI and comedy bits in his films I think they are missing an opportunity there with him. So wasn't a bad movie, but I think if they would have made it more of a serious action drama and left out about 75% of the comedy stuff it probably would have came across as a much better film imo.
  14. Haven't been 3D printing much the past month or so. Just been so busy with rod orders. Finally made some time last night to fire one of the printers back up and printed a Glock mag rack for my extra magazines. Came out really well and fits perfectly. Just have to pick up a spool of gray filament to reprint the final ones in gray rather than white.
  15. Didn't see anyone mention this yet. Anyone else planning on seeing the new Ghostbusters movie? I'll prob go see it a few days after it comes out. Always been a fan, didn't even bother with the 2016 version 🤢 But this one looks to be pretty good from what I can tell from the trailer.
  16. Watched a movie from 2009 called Rampage. Was about a 24yr old guy that goes on a shooting/killing spree taking out a bunch of people in his town. Not much of a plot, but was vastly different than most movies that's for sure. It's on Amazon Prime if anyone wants to check it out. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/rampage-2009
  17. Watched a movie the night before last called SAS- Rise of the black swan. Was kind'a long, think about 2 hrs, one of those movies where you like it but it just seemed a tad "off" for some reason. I think part of the reason might be because the head terrorist/bad guy in the film was Ruby Rose, and I just can't stand her. This is about the 3rd movie I have seen where they cast her as some ass kicking baddy. Like she was in John Wick 2, and to me it just does not work. A skinny 90lb girl is just not believable in that role. With that said, it wasn't a bad film by any means, worth the watch if you get the time.
  18. I must be gettin old, because I have no idea what Astroworld even is. Just read all this and will have to google it to see about it. Sounds friggin horrible though, stuff like this is one of the reason I avoid large crowds these days.
  19. Above vid from today. Went and put another 100 rds downrange. Got a new flared magwell for the Glock so had to test it out. Still putting about 60% of my shots low left. Not sure if I'm pushing the muzzle in anticipation of the recoil or what, but working on that. Had a good number in the red zone of the target today though.
  20. Nice looking bike. I bike a lot during the spring/summer just for staying in shape a bit. Prob do around 25-35 miles per week, nothing crazy but enough to keep the blood flowing since I'm almost 50 yrs old now. Mine isn't anything special, just a standard dept store $200 no name, I put some Kevlar tires/tubes on it as well as a few things like upgraded seat and speedo/lights etc. One of these days I'm like to get a nicer one like a Trek or something like you have.
  21. If anyone wants to see a really enjoyable movie that you prob never heard of, check out a movie called Love & Monsters. I watched it off On-Demand last night and was really shocked how good it was. It's kind of a mixture of monster movie/comedy/romance/drama/action movie. Bit of a weird combination but it works. Trailer for it-
  22. Actually I'm planning on that after the holidays. Palmetto sells some blem upper & lowers for hell of good deals. I have a buddy that has put together about a dozen of them and he's said he's yet to notice where the blem is even at on any of them. Made the rounds today to a few gun stores. Was really good to find that ammo supply is finally catching up with demand now. And prices are finally going back down. Needs to go down more, but at least it's going in the right direction. Came home with 200rds of 9mm for $100 Might go back next week and snag another 100 or so.
  23. Niece's husband & I went to the range this evening. Had a great time. Between the two of us we took four pistols. Glock48, Glock19, CZ Shadow 2, and single action revolver. Was the most rounds I put through the Glock in one outing so far, put 100 rds through it today. Nice to be able to start putting that many through it and able to get a feel for that one now. I put about 10 rds through his CZ...that gun is a dream to shoot, but at $2300 there's no way I would ever drop that much on a pistol, but damn it is a smooth running gun. More weight than my Glock but that makes the perceived recoil seem about 30% less than my Glock. The single action revolver was a fun little pistol, first rds I have put through that since buying it. Feels really weird going from a semi-auto Glock to a single action old west style gun with iron sights. Really giving some consideration to the idea of getting into buying all the items to start reloading. I want to tryin get out to the range weekly now, and after going through about 300 rds total today bewteen the two of us, I know learning to reload my own, at least 9mm loads would save me a ton of money over time. The Impact Pro electronic ear protection was really nice. Glad I bought those over some of the others I considered. I still wore in ear foams under the Impact Pros just because with my Tinnitus I have to be real careful, but the combo of in ear and over the ear was perfect, even after all those rounds we popped off, plus the guy next to use that was blasting off a 12g, it didn't bother my tinnitus anymore than it has been so that was good.
  24. Looks good, wonder about his voice though. Will be a bit odd not having Tim Allen voice him. Seems like they aren't showing much with him talking in the trailer, are there any other trailers that have him talking more in them?
