  1. I'm super happy (and pretty astounded) to announce that this is the 4th year that the FG Awards has been a thing. I stopped for a very brief moment today and I realised we're super lucky to have something so unique and one of a kind for a family like this. As a reminder for newer FGers, I set up the FG Awards as a way to recognise a few people within the FG family to say thank you for what they have done to help others. I hope that the below is an enjoying read of all our winners, especially with 2 new additional awards for Play of the Game and Top Contributor. Let's not waste any more time to get into 2021's special winners! Young FGer of the Year I think its credit to this guy that even @Diddums thought that he was much nearer 30 due to how he handles himself online, having a laugh with everyone else. Already the most experienced Destiny raider out of everyone, it hasn't stopped him wanting to help the most inexperienced people here at FG. If everyone was as helpful, patient and damn right crazy as him at his age, we wouldn't have a problem when the next generation have to step up and make a difference. Thanks for being a part of FG, Lee'esh. Long may it continue. Winner - @Leeesh13 - Lee'esh FG Noobie of the Year For quite possibly a shy guy to start with, he has really understood the spirit of FG from our first meeting. Willing to try many games with FG where possible and really contribute across lots of topics all over FG. He even raised money for Alzheimer's Association this year which was great to see him share this with us here. Wanting to learn more and not miss out on the laughs we have on Monday Night Football with the FGFC FIFA team and a regular on FG Friday shenanigans, Ant has made himself more than just one of the crowd here this year. Winner - @Antpool84 - Ant Guardian Down Award A close one this year, with many people making the funny epic failures of most FG evenings. Previous winners like @techno and @Diddums had chances as they get shotgunned in the Crucible, alongside @slamminbones sweary outbursts on GT Sport evenings, and @TurboR56Mini epic fails on Nightfalls with the FG Destiny crew. Possibly because his accumulative dying record would probably now challenge any Destiny player in the universe, it's about time Bob was recognised for his great achievements after playing - and dying - so much on Destiny to get all his accolades. I think Bob would spend a whole evening dying over and over if you offered him 5 points off a Triumph. And that's without trying too! Winner - @Baabcat - Bob FG Archbishop of Banterbury He thought his depressive side could be so funny? I didn't. But the fact that he has his own word (Tomerisms) for when he says something so bloody random on FIFA, Rocket League or FG Friday nights, he probably deserves to feel on a special pedestal for a one shiny moment. Always trying to find that annoying little joke that you want to hate but laugh at, Tom is frustrating and fun to have around. Now, if this award goes a little way to helping him calm his deep thoughts he likes to share post midnight on a weekend of gaming then i'm all in! Winner - @LordBaguette - Tom FG Skills Award Similar to how last year's winner Kenny @IRaMPaGe has knocked out some amazing plays that he shares on his PPR and in the Videos section, there's another one here that if you don't check PPRs enough then you'd find way more about your fellow FGers!! Its been a tough end to the year for this one, but let's face it to be on the cusp of 500 - yes, FIVE HUNDRED - Platinum Playstation trophies is actually insane. I've kept up with his updates and he's surpassed a few hundred since he has been here and I sometimes think he'll never stop until he gets into the top 100 in the world, which isn't far away. Paul, I'll be watching for your 500th and after a well deserved break, hopefully to see you hit 600 in the future. Winner - @slamminbones - Paul FG Play of the Game A new award to this year and something that I would defnitely love for more entries into the Video section of all your famous and funny moments next year. This one for me sticks out like a sore thumb, and whilst its not the most ultimately the best goal we've ever scored with F.G.F.C on FIFA 21 this past year, it was an incredible goal and finish to an amazing game early on in the promotion charge from Division 10 to Division 1 in clubs. It also epitomised how that has been such a successful game for FG here with at least 17 FGers joining the club and playing hundreds and in some cases, thousands of games together. Final minute, after having just equalised moments before, a throw-in from one side passed through @Stretch616 , @G_dub52 and to @GazzaGarratt who then launches a huge long ball which could only give us the chance to win - and Lurch provides the scenes with the most emphatic header we've seen on a FIFA game. A quick link to the special moment in our video section can be found below! Last Minute Scenes! Winner - @J-Lurch - James FG Top Contributor If we don't have people here bringing us the latest info and news, alongside contributing to some great conversations then we just wouldn't simply survive. There's been one person that whilst we don't game much online, it hasn't stopped him from being around, sharing and showing others how easy it is to do for every FGer that comes here rather than all the other rubbish places on the interwebz. Its not just the quantity and we probably should recognise his support a lot more than we should have over recent years - even if his opinions can be unpopular at times! James, we wouldn't have this place without you, mate. Winner - @J4MES OX4D - James FGer of the Year Despite being at FG for only 16 months, she has made a monumental difference to the outcome of FG over the past year. Gathering troops, usually at 3am in the morning for her, organising raids and events. This place went from what we thought was an 'active' Destiny clan to having the most active raids we've ever done in the past 7 years of the game being out. Not only supporting this, but supporting other FG Friday events, setting up servers, creating a buzz about FG on topics, interesting viewpoints and actively encouraging new, less frequent people to show up more often around FG. A heart of gold with massive support from her husband Carl @TurboR56Mini too, we wouldn't have been able to give away such incredible gifts as part of the FGFGF, like the two PS5s a few months ago. She's also there for people on the personal level, and like many of you know how I will always be there for you, it is equally seen through what La has done for others behind closed doors. What's even better, is that we haven't had many women as part of FG and to think that someone like this can have such a positive impact on all aspects of FG, its shows how much we've opened our eyes and should be willing to do more for all FGers. Proud to call her my friend at my hour of need, we all appreciate and salute you for the effort you put here, La. Winner - @RenFengge - La FG Hall of Fame It was a delight to see this American pop back into our lives, especially after being pretty ill for a very long time this year - something I appreciate many wouldn't know but lets face it, its why we become best friends here that some of us know this important stuff. Its good to see this lover of all uber-hard games like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, etc back posting and looking forward to his playthrough verdicts and support in 2022 when we all pick up Elden Ring. Thanks for being an FGer for life big man. Winner - @Jason - Jason Aaaand we're done! No one expected 2021 to be as hard as 2020 but we all got through it thankfully. I'm sure some things will continue to be rocky and not always go our way, but i'm pleased to report we're all still here, bringing the heat and good vibes. All of this to make sure we have the best 2022 we could possibly have. Keep being there for each other. You really do not understand the gravity of your presence at FG for others. It surpasses many extraordinary things people can't explain in life. GGFG P.S. I really hope more of you FGers can join the other 36 so far confirmed people all across the world to join us in Wales in November 2022!! >> Biggest FG Meet Up Ever - Nov 2022

  2. Yea. Title pretty much sums it up but here goes.. First off. I’d like to apologize to damn near everyone a part of the clan for my behaviour over the last 4-6 weeks. As some, if not all know, I’ve been clean and sober now for almost 15 months. Great in the short term and I honestly thought I was handling it fine. I haven’t had a sip of booze in that time nor have I gone to other means such as drugs.. But the past month or so have really put my head in a very shitty place. I’m not going to get into details but there’s been a lot of personal/work/life stuff that’s bombarded me all in a very short time and I’ve had a hell of a time coping with all of it. Not too mention that my anxiety is utterly through the roof.. I’ve always had bad bouts when I’ve got health concerns and such but with all this happening in such a short span, it’s really done a number on my nerves. The old me would’ve grabbed a case of beer and drank my worries away but that me is dead. The new me is having a hell of a time trying to deal with a lot of this crap and it’s put me in a really anti-social behaviour. Not only that, but trivial and very minor things that shouldn’t bother me at all have ended up really pissing me off or put my mood into a darker set then I normally am. I don’t like that. A lot of you that have known me for quite sometime KNOW how I am. The Batman, Micheal Caine happy go lucky guitar playing, impressionist that can be the life of an FG Friday and put a smile on someone’s face when they feel down. I haven’t been that lately and I need to do something about it. It’s started to effect a lot of the folks in this group that I consider friends and I can’t let that continue. It’s not fair for me to inadvertently take out the shitty things going on in my life on any of you. We’re all here to have fun enjoying the hobby we all share. If anything, I should’ve been more social and up front with my issues rather then trying to push everyone away. That’s my bad and I truly would like to apologize for being that asshole as of late. I know it’s not much but right now, it’s all I can offer. I know I fucked up and I’m working to fix that. I figured I’d let you all know. I’m incredibly thankful I have my wife Sarah @Rumelylady in my life whose been by my side when I’ve been shedding tears from being overwhelmed by all this bullshit to helping me find ways to cope with all this mental trash without resorting to my old habits. I feel I would be in a much darker place if I didn’t have her today. So, yea… Im working on my mental health. I want to get back to what normal feels like in my eyes. I’m finding ways to help cope with it and I felt this would be one way to do that. The road’s never clear and there’s always gonna be bumps.. I just ended up in a landslide and I’m digging my way out right now. GGs FG. Again, I’m sorry for being that jack ass.

  3. I promised you all for a special update from the FGFGF on my recent update about summer improvements to FG, so here it is! Buckle in tight for this one 😄 As most of you will hopefully know by now, La @RenFengge has come into help me a huge amount of late and she found an opportunity within lockdown to do a few extra special gifts as we had a few generous people in FG that could contribute significantly to help make a few people smile. First off, Bob @Baabcat has been here for many years and we've seen him be amazing of late, trying super hard to help many of the Destiny 2 FGers get involved and put up many raids each and every week. Its crazy to think that after nearly 7 years of Destiny, the past 6-12 months is the most active it has ever been at FG with so many complete FG raids, dungeons and Nightfalls done with each other. A large part of this was down to Bob so we duly obliged when knowing Charlie @Venom had a PS5 but his Dad didn't. After working out the logistics with Clive @Teenwolf25 , we informed Bob online how great he is and gave him a huge smile from the FGFGF with a new PS5. Secondly, Gary @techno has been a mainstay in FG for so many years and helping in areas that people really haven't seen before but he's always there to pick you up when you need it most. He always offers advice, even when you didn't realise it. It was about time this guy from 'up Norf' received something extra special, especially whilst he has to be ploughing money into huge alterations in house for his wife that has a degenerative disability. Thanks to a few more significant others, we were able to not give away one PS5, but two! (Logistical mare with how he got it but it was paid for nonetheless 😄). A shipping problem lies with our merch currently, but i've managed to test a few new design hoodies out, finally sorting the last Xmas FGFGF giveaway present to @Dan94 and for all his continued efforts with his artwork and helping me significantly with his amazing Gran Turismo Articles, @Greboth received his own personalised hoodie. Some also might not be aware but our beautiful Scottash @Nutcuttlit had a horrible scare recently when his daughter was knocked over by a car. Whilst battered and bruised she soldiered on like how her Dad can be, so we thought we would send the best current release on Metacritic, a 2 player co-op game It Takes Two. Hopefully the smiles can keep wash away the bruises over time 😄 There was a few FG mugs given out too, @Findmartin @TonyAE86 @Lurch @Antpool84 to name just a few. We're working quite hard to get some extra things to other FGers outside of the UK too. Its more of a logistical nightmare (and has been for a few years) but watch this space and we're extremely hopeful of doing further good things to keep people smiling around the world in the not too distant future. Lastly, don't get take the next part lightly. Thank You. ALL OF YOU people have shown you have the ability to keep making so many people smile and happy, especially when it hits some people's lives when they need it most. There's some of FGers out there that won't be named that are at their darkest points, and stuff like this - showing that you care for others at such a hard time for all of us - helps them realise life is worth living. Keep giving when you can to make FGers smile. GGFG all ❤️

  4. There's alot going on in my life and more stuff this week which I'm finding it all a little to hard to deal with. After a rough day in work was not looking forward to coming home to an empty house well I have my dogs here but I get in to find a parcel for me and I'm completely speechless. It may seem small to some people but things like this just shows there is some decent people out there that still care this has cheered me up and put a smile back on my face which I've not had for quite a while. I know who this is down to but I can't thank FG enough all I can say is roll on November will need a step ladder for some man hugs.

  5. Well, the day has finally come! 😅 If you've wondered why i've been reasonably more quiet of late and not updating a few events, my PPR, etc its mainly because whilst my own work has been extremely manic since the back end of last year, kids schools and work on the house just needed to happen now rather than later unfortunately. Every moment i did have spare though, I've stuck it into this place and tried to create something that gives you all a nice fuzzy feeling when you come to FG moving foward (even though, you really should feel that way already 😎). So, enter the room, FG Achievements. As a reminder to all, the objective of Achievements (with Medals) is to help us all interact more and have fun with each other on FG, and on Games we all play - Resulting in all of us using more/all of the fun features that FG has that you might not have even explored yet. This FG Achievements system breaks down into the following parts; Ranks, Points and Medals. Ranks Shortly today/tomorrow, you will start to see that you will have an XP bar with your profile: The more you interact with FG, the better it is for your own personal FG Rank. You'll also be able to see all the ranks and how many you've got to unlock on your own profile. As a reminder of the FG Rank Badges shared on the previous article I did in January, are below. Each one will have a specific name with them that you can find out, when they're live: Points So, how do I get to rank up, Lee? Ah, thought you might ask that 😅. Pretty much nearly everything you do to interact with FG, will gain you points. Replied to someone's post? Rack up a point. Put up a video in the Video section? Grab 10 points. Vote on a Poll....or even someone voting on your Poll? Maybe even just logging in every day will get you something...👀 Points totals aren't shown anywhere as the main objective with points is to see how you can get your next rank. You'll see from your XP Progress Bar how many points you have until your next FG Rank (see first picture above) so its a good way to know where you are in the world of FG! There is well over 200 different ways to grab points (and the following medals) so please do try and interact and get as much out of this system as you can! Medals Every loves a shiny thing don't they? Well, to aid your task to reach the top of the hill at FG, I've created an absolute shed of Medals - in fact, there is the best part of 200 Medals for everyone to try and achieve. They are broken down into two parts - FG Website and FG Games. FG Website Medals will cover off all the following activity, and beyond: Posts Topics Events Videos Polls Visits Follows Reactions PPR Guides Merch Quizzes Articles Memberships 👀 FG Games Medals will initially cover 5 of our top games played in the community, however I want more added over time so will be asking for lots of feedback...and lots of help too! Destiny 2 FIFA 22 Gran Turismo 7 7 Days to Die Valheim To help you understand what is available from a visual POV, I have created the following Infographics of all the medals so far. I will look to try and make a few more infographics along the way if people want to see what each medal gets you - I would encourage you all to take a look at people's profiles which may give you hints on how to obtain certain medals!! For Game specific ones, i'll create some form of Guide to help you all know what each one is, either in Guides or pinned in their forum section. Please remember, this is an initial launch - if we can hit the ground running and everyone is enjoying the fun out of obtaining Medals, then we will absolutely be creating more across the board for both FG and the specific games we all play Website Medals Infographics FG Games Medals Infographics PLEASE TAKE NOTE Its a brand new, never done before FG System. We will have issues problems from time to time so please share your thoughts and help us make it better! When its first turned on, it may take upto a few days to register everything - it has to run through every single rule i've created for every single FGer. Hopefully you'll see your Medals grow over time! We may tweak the Ranks and their respective points targets after going live if we find they are imbalanced in some way. Most Rules for points will be retrospectively activated when Live. There may be rules we add at a later date that will only look forward (e.g some Quiz ones will be created soon but look forward, not backwards) unless I rebuild the system...which may mean you get 're-awarded' automatic points and medals you had. Games will not look backwards - this is to help give everyone a chance to focus on starting out how to get them all and create some buzz about bringing FGers together. Most Games Medals are manually awarded with the help of the FG Team here. I expect us all to start talking and sharing information about our escapades as FG online in all of our games. It helps bring to life what we're all achieving together and it speeds up the validation time to award Medals. I will NEED HELP with this. If you're interested in supporting the cause in helping, please let me know. Its about doing things here but also encouraging FGers to get involved across all aspects of what we do. I really would love for you all to explore what we have available here. It's took me an absolute age to get it in a position to launch it as I wanted to give this the best chance of hitting the ground running. I'll set up a separate topic on the forums to capture any feedback and questions you may have about it all. We can then have separate topics where we can post up gaming updates to support the awarding of medals. Its a great thing to finally do something I've wanted for here for years. Its like our internal mini FG game, with lots of fun and interaction. Keep an eye out for when you start getting awarded points, medals and ranks - it may even be worth turning your browser notifications on (check your 'Bell' icon next to your profile and enable them!) so you can start seeing them pop up on your phone and other devices 😎 The only thing left is for you all to enjoy! GGFG

  6. We might be busy doing bits and pieces (there is soooooo much to do 😅) but we try to ensure that a few people get recognised to give them a big smile along the way. We wouldn't have it any other way would we?? The FGFGF recently: As mentioned above, @Antpool84 has been a great addition to FG this year and whilst he's tried to get involved in many game nights, the storage has been holding him back for some time. Hopefully the 2TB external drive goes a little way to keeping his smile on his face. Huzzah! Equally, we never thanked @jordie1892 back in the day to help create and get the FIFA mini euro league up and running. To get over 40 matches done was immense considering we hadn't done anything like this before and as a gesture to one of the coolest FGers we have, some FIFA Points went his way so he can boss everyone on Ultimate Team in FIFA 22 😄 Finally, our resident Batman Chad @Riff Machine , has gone through a hell of a lot of late so it felt logical and common sense to perk him up with a few goodies below and some Steam vouchers so he can find something to enjoy on his PC. We're always here for you big man 👊 We have lots more to do, loads of ideas and thoughts to implement and we're nearing Christmas (a little too quickly, even for me), so where possible we should and must continue to make people smile with the FGFGF and keep donating when and where you can. Who knows....if I/we can find the time to muster something on similar lines to the Big Xmas Giveaways we've done in the past then we'll certainly give it our best shot to try. GGFG 🧡 P.S. Don't forget looking at out next big meet up next November and our potential first Charity team event in April/May (See Site Info Section for more!)

  7. We're alive....and free hopefully!! The last few months has been hopefully more uplifting for you all as we enter many places nearing the end of some/most social distancing rules and also with the fantastic run the English side were on throughout the whole of Euro 2020 (in 2021, still can't get over the name not changing!). We're also entering holiday season for many of us across the world too and I think it'll be good to get some fresh air and experience some of the places we haven't been able to the past 18 months. That being said, there's a few things upcoming at FG to keep an eye out for as we go under some significant changes I've wanted for many years. Achievements/Ranks/Gamerscore I've wanted some form of an FG Gamerscore for a while as an incentive to make things fun and interesting when you come back to the Home of FG, as well as having fun online in FG Games. With the next software update, we'll imminently have a new ranking system that links to points. Some might remember I tried a while back but didn't quite work as there wasn't enough resources at the time. Now, we can take advantage of some cool updates that are all integrated with the Home of FG. A sneak peak of how things will start to look are below. This is something that will help us all realise there's always been way more to FG than just a few forum posts. 'Levelling Up' with FG can actually be a real possibility which i'm super hyped for! Medals/Badges With brand new ranks and levels to chase, come Medals to earn. You could argue its similar to Triumphs on many games we play mentioning no names *Desti..cough cough*. These will be things that you can earn that will give bonus points that goes towards your overall FG Gamerscore. Some will be very basic, like opening post, creating topics, and just by visiting FG everyday but some might make you look across FG, creating interesting stuff for all to see, maybe in Videos, Quizzes, Polls, etc. Equally, I want to create Medals to earn that are a part of the joy we bring online with us all. We have some featured FG Games already and would love to expand on this over time. For example, we could have some that relate to our GT Sport league races, FIFA Monday Night Football, Destiny Raid Nights and of course, any games we play on FG Fridays. These are supposed to be cool things to chase for fun and show off between us all and the more we can make, the more exciting it will be to interact and get around all the games we play together. These will also show on your profile and I intend to have a page where you can find descriptions of Medals you can earn. Please be aware though....there will be hidden ones you'll have to find! Maybe checking other people's profiles over time will help you work out what's achievable! Push Notifications to Mobile devices This one makes me happy beyond belief. I think one thing is noticeable that many like to be nudged by a pop up on their phone if they've been tagged or quoted somewhere or maybe even if they've received a reaction. It reminds us that FG is around as it can slip people's minds sometimes as we have our normal lives to deal with. Notifications can be switched on so you'll need to accept to receive push notifications for your mobile, once live. The only restriction i've been made aware of is (as usual) is Safari on Apple devices. I mean, you should be downloading Chrome anyway these days, even on Apple devices because Safari kills souls over time. More details to follow on how to make sure you get all the notifications! Homepage link for mobile devices In conjunction with the notifications, you should get opportunity to add FG as a homepage on your phone. This will make FG look and feel exactly like an App would and far better than the Tapatalk one we had in the past. You can then also see notifications linked to it, like your apps do. I really want as many of us to take up these so you don't miss out on any FG action and it helps me not have to nag/nudge/annoy the crap out of you on other platforms! In other news..... We also have some amazing FGFGF news we can now share as some of you already know, which will highlight how important you all are to continuing to donate to the cause of making people smile and feel good. We have GT Sport Summer Season starting this week and want as many to turn up each week to enjoy the fun and learn where we can FG Fridays will be back up in advance on the Event Calendar so we can all make sure to nudge your best FGer and get them to get online where we can - the aim has to be a huge 20-30 plus lobby of all of us on the games we now have to offer (Fall Guys, Bomberman, Among Us, Battlefield 5, Wreckfest, GTA Races, CoD MW Remastered) Raids every week on Destiny for anyone that wants help and just all round general fun running more and more of them More regular Quizzes to play! There's probably more (there always is!) but i've probably worn you out with the essay as usual 😄 All i'll ask is to be patient with us over the next 4 weeks as you see things subtely changing and there may be some down time as we update many of the applications and software we have behind the scenes. It'll be all worth the wait i'm sure! Let me know what you think of the updates, and if there are any medals/badges you wanna see we could give out drop the ideas below, you never know as we have LOADS to make!! GGFG ❤️

  8. Zaxzar

    New girl on the block

Hi all, So. Who is Zaxzar? Well great question. Can start with the what. A year ago I was 36, and went by the name of Lars. Today I am 37 and goes by the name Sarah. Confused? Well let me clarify. I am a 37 year old transgender woman. Been out for a little over half a year. I go by she/her. I know this is something that can be instinctive challenging when communicating over voice chats, because I haven't started voice training yet. So I forgive you in advanced if/when you get this wrong. As long it isn't done on purpose, we are just A-OK. ❤️😁👌 Okay. to what really matters. Who am I (at least gaming wise), and how did I end up in your community? It started a very long time ago on a Commodore 64. A little later in life I got my older brothers Amiga 500. Here I played a game called "Sid Meyer's Pirates". This is where my gamer tag Zaxzar got born. So I have been using this tag at least 25+ years. I have played PC most of my life, but over the last 5+ or so years, I have moved to PlayStation. Of my all-time favorite games I can mention: Sid Meyer's Colonization Sid Meyer's Pirates Sonic I and II Curse of Monkey Island (the first 4 at least) Deux Ex (the original one. Wow what a story) Zelda World of Warcraft (the first few expansions. The panda expansion kind of killed it for me) Diablo 1+2+3 (I moved to PlayStation somewhere after Diablo 3 got released. I started on PC in that game, but moved to PlayStation. Fun fact: I was number 1 in the world in the hardcore ranking on my monk in 2 seasons) After I started to burn out on Diablo 3, PS Plus made the base game of Destiny 2 free when they released Forsaken. And I picked it up. And have been hooked ever since. In Destiny I have been quite enveloped and engaged in the community. I used to run PvE recovs alot (have done around 100 Petra's run recovs for example) But this started to burn me out quite a bit, and stepped back from all of that. The people you play with that does this as a business are very very toxic. If you make a mistake in a speedrun of a raid, with a fireteam if recovs, shit really hits the fan. Because time is money. I liked the aspect of challenges of speedrunning, no matter the account I was on. But if the toxicity is there, it just ain't for me. Been in a lot of the highly competitive clans, and also been admin in all of them. One of the latest clans I was in was Valhalla. First I stepped down as admin, because of an increasing frustration I had with some aspects of the leadership, and the workload. I then left them after a transphobic attack on me from an admin. I demanded an apology, and wasn't given one, and there was no consequences. For me inaction is the same as greenlighting it, so I chose to move on. This wasn't the only reason I left tho, but it did make it easy for me. The general tone of the forums, had become more and more juvenile over time. And with this, toxic. I joined an old clan of mine, where alot of my friends where still in after, but left them because they where too PvP focused for my taste. And now I am here. ❤️ Why did I join you? Well I joined because I heard of you through teenwolf, after he also left Valhalla. He spoke highly of you, and have had the pleasure of playing with some of you through his friendship over the years too. I thought that if the rest of you are just half as enjoyable to play with as them, this is gonna be a good home for me. What do I focus on today? I am still mainly focused on raids and PvE content. Not as much as I used to do. Lost a lot of my passion for raiding after they sunset more than half the raids in the game. Will look forward to get to learn more about you all. Now what questions do you have? Xo Sarah

    Thank you FG

Not going to go to in depth but my wife of 8 years which we've been together for almost 21 years has really screwed me over. What she's done is morally wrong to throw away 21 years two kids aged 15 and 18 we've so much history and been through so much all gone. Most of my friends locally have either passed moved away my family know what's happened and only a hand full check in on me and they're not even my immediate family. Which brings me to you guys the FG GT guys know what's happened I've spoken to a couple through different message formats but the support I've gotten is far more than people around me locally for that I thank you and to anyone that's in any party chat that doesn't even know what's happened. If it weren't for you guys and FG I wouldn't be feeling how I am now and most likely still in a mess. It's only been a month since I found out but all I care about is my kids getting a place once they house is sold next year which we've only had for 2 years. I promise I won't bore you lot with my troubles much in chats as i must sound like a broken record 😂 but again thank you guys it means the world to me the support I've had off you.

Afternoon champs, champettes and everyotherchamp, you should see that the site is considerably quicker now, we've moved to a new host finally. We've also installed the PHP shizzle so you can allow notifications, so you'll get notified every time someone quotes you, mentions you or reacts to one of your posts. Enjoy the new zippiness!

  13. So just received this awesome present from the FGFGF and i am lost for words!! I am loving being a member of the FG after being introduced by @G_dub52 , and have got to know some of the guys like @GazzaGarratt, @jordie1892 , @Macca89 , @Lurch and @tronic44 among many others through Monday night Fifa, and have even managed to have a little Cov meetup with a few of the lads which was an awesome night. I really enjoy the banter we all have together and all the different discussions that go on here, and the fact that we all have each others backs for anything is truly awesome. Thank you again guys for this awesome gift and i'm looking forward to many for awesome FG nights and meetups in the future. GGs peeps!!!

  14. A few weeks ago I eluded to Memberships at the end of the Achievements article I did. So, wait no longer, as here they are! One thing that sets us apart from everywhere else is the generosity that we all give to the cause that is FG. We look after own - and others - like nowhere else. That's down to all of us. I've been thinking about how we can help without having to feel like me and others here nag/nudge/kick you all 4,5,6, or 74 times a year to kindly donate to the good causes that we try to do via the FGFGF - The Forever Gaming Feel Good Fund. We'll always have the ability for you all to donate on an ad-hoc basis to help us keep doing the things we're doing here. Whenever you feel you want to do that, please just use the Donate button you can find on the Homepage ❤️. For everything else, the easier way to help ongoing FG goodness is selecting an FG Membership. Put simplistically, it is an alternative way to donate to the Forever Gaming Feel Good Fund and maybe get something back for the goodness you're providing to everyone. There are 3 available, with monthly/annual options: Survival Tactical Legionnaire Launch Benefits As this is something new for the first time ever here and as a huge thank you for people who do get behind this straight away and take up an FG Membership, I'll stick you in a raffle that has the chance for one of the 4 games below to be bought for you, as a Thank You from me to you. The raffle will pick 5 people that have an active membership and they will have the choice of: Gran Turismo 7 Destiny 2 Witch Queen plus Season Pass Horizon Forbidden West Elden Ring OR select another FGer to have one of these games To reiterate, you will be entered in the raffle if you have an active FG membership before Friday 25th March. I will look to set up the raffle on Saturday 26th March. If you want to know more about each membership, take a read via the link below. FG Memberships Also, it would be amazing to get any feedback here if you think of more suggestions to keep FG going in any way. Good Luck and Thank You for supporting your FG Family. ❤️ GGFG.

    Gun room finished

Yet another "happy place in Steve-topia" pretty much finished the gun room is about done. Only ones not on the new wall I built are a new tactical 12g which I'll be picking up from my FFL Mon/Tues & the home defense one which stays next to the bed. Everything is not only nicer looking in the new area, but nice and secure behind steel dead bolted doors, blocked off window, and also have a bunch of trigger locks on the way so that the only gun usable without being unlocked will be the home defense 12g I keep with me. I dunno if I'm an introvert whom hardly leaves home because Steve-topia is such a cool place....or if Steve-topia is such a cool place because I'm an introvert whom hardly leaves home. I dunno, chicken or egg I guess. Introverts unite!....alone, in your own home, away from me 😁

  19. So this week @RenFenggeand I went to visit Athens Greece and planned a little FG meet and greet with @Tar-Eruntalion who is an Athens native. We met John and his sister for a nice dinner at Hytra, a roof top restaurant with some nice views of the skylines and the Acropolis. I've been making posts of IG over the course of our trip but click below for the photos of the trip thus far in case you uncultured heathens don't have IG. Seeing as there is a little bit of interest (though this could turn into just Lee and myself talking about old games) I thought I would show off a couple of games in my Gameboy collection. I have never had them graded so for all I know they could be fake 😄 (And I realise as I'm uploading this I didn't take a photo of the pokemon crystal box but it's in pretty good condition. The pokemon games made up a good portion of my youth so it's probably one of my favourite parts of the collection (though I find it difficult to play the games / modern games these days with the exception of Arceus). But yeah thought it would get the ball rolling. I have a pearl blue? GBA SP that comes out every once in a while, sadly find it a bit uncomfortable to hold over longer spells. I tend to only keep hold of games I have particularly enjoyed so the bulk of my collection is made up of JRPG's / single player story driven games and a good portion of it still get's some game time every now and again. My megadrive broke so that's on my to get list again as those games are now sat in a cupboard gathering a nice thick layer of dust ^_^

  21. During our last episode of Descent Into Avernus, our DM Devin sang a little number while our party was in a tavern. I had the melody stuck in my head for most of the week, and was playing around with it on the git-fiddle. I came up with this little short bit, but long term, I'll be recording this and it'll be used as BG music for our pre-stream countdown. Let me know what you think.

  22. Alright you lot. I have been talking with an old friend in Gazza and we've both decided it'd be good for me to return. I was once a part of the old MW2 forums way back when under the handle of The Reverend. A lot has changed since then. I'm a competitive call or duty player (search and destroy is my bread and butter) but I also scrim hardpoints and whatever the 3rd comp game mode will be this year. I'm an oldhead unfortunately at 32 but I like to think I can keep up with the young guns haha. My life has recently been turned upside down with suffering 4 heart attacks! 1 which nearly took my life. But I'm fighting back in my recovery and gaming is an outlet for me to keep focused and positive. So I'd like to say hello to the old frens and henlo to the potential new ones. Peace and love x

  23. I am just about to go to bed and my brain is honestly fried!!! Today I thought I would bite the bullet and let Lee and co show me pretty much all that my mind could take, Whether it was learning more about Discord, Understanding the FG Website (WHICH I DIDNT KNOW WE HAD 🙂) or having a fun filled evening on 7 days with everyone. I think was all about getting use out of my new PC which since I have had it, I have only really used it for work. We started today around 1pm, @GazzaGarrattshowing me through Discord and FG along with Dave I believe, sorry my memory isn't the best and I am very tired. Was really great to learn if I am honest as Discord is not my strongest point. So in return I told lee I would bet on Blackburn to win today to which they lost hahaha (He now hates me) In the evening I jumped on 7 days with Lee, @RenFengge @Diddums @TurboR56Mini @crispymorgan @Ajay for a quality night shooting up some zombies. Was genuinely humbled that they all took so much time out to help little old me and show me what to do, even managed to survive the Zombie threat which I am kinda impressed with. To celebrate me and Didds did an airshow on the Gyrocopters however I think our landing skills are in need of some serious training 🤣🤣 Loved how Lee and Turbo let me have the first condo in the new pad and me and Turbo have turned it into a luxurious Log Cabin!!! Looks Ace!!! Air Traffic Tower coming along nicely too 😁 Anyways......Thanks everyone, needed this today, was tiring but genuinly an awesome day. #GGFG

  24. You don't know? Okay. Let's have a chat about it then. First though, Happy New Year to everyone at FG. You're all fantastic, awesome individuals that deserve all the good luck and fortune that we can wish for. To look forward, we should always recognise looking back for a moment to see how far we've come in the last 12 months. With the world in still great difficulty, I think we pushed forward in many places and did many good things, to give FGers and all that are connected to us a bit more purpose and fun in their lives. Some stats I suppose help as always to back that up! 2021 Stats New FGers registering - 199 - Up 2.58% (figures against year before) Unique Contributors - 114 - Down 12.31% Users Who Reacted - 72 - New stat last year, no comparison available Reactions Given - 12,078 - Down 2.77% New Topics - 561 - Down 23.05% New Posts - 8010 - Down 19.88% New Events - 257 - Up 110.66% New Quizzes - 2 - Down 75% New Quiz Plays - 41 - Down 66.12% New Articles - 14 - Up 366.67% New Guides - 8 - Up 300% New Tournaments - 1 - First ever one New Teams - 17 - First teams created New Videos - 73 - Up 135.48% New Video Reviews - 28 - Up 16.67% New Raffles - 1 - Down 96% 1 Huge overhaul to our Home, with a brand new homepage and new sections 19 gifts via the FGFGF (FG's Feel Good Fund), inc. 2 brand new PS5s So, with all that exhausting our minds, what should we do this year? I'm a firm believer of building on good things, dusting ourselves off and giving it everything you've got. So I think we should this year after a few years of all our lives sitting virtually in purgatory with COVID dictacting every step of it. I think a good way to try and start somewhere is let's bring it back to what we great at - Games. Let's bring the togetherness back online and especially on here at FG. One way we'll look to do this is through Community Goals. This can be collective goals that we all work together and try and aim to achieve by the end of the year. I'm busy trying to create a page to store them all on so we can return here and see how far we've got as a team. If you have any good ones, let's hear them out in the comments below. For this to work though, it will need some support - like a lot of support. I'm urging all of you, to keep FG updated with everything you're up to. This is a great place to share after each session; how many raids you did, the best bits about your CoD battles, how many races you won, or lost in my case in Gran Turismo, goals we scored on an FGFC FIFA night, how many Zombies were killed in our 7 Days horde nights....the list could go on but I hope you get the jist. This helps me and others helping me a track of how we are doing towards our community goals as I won't be able to get everything from automated places. Let's make a real good go of it and do what we can. Next stop is Achievements. Mentioned this quite a few times and we've been terribly delayed whilst we waited for the software to be in place. And whilst its not 100% perfect, I want us to give this a go and improve as we go live. To support this, we have brand new FG Ranks to help everyone 'Level Up'. We spent a while designing these, and truth be told we couldn't do any of these without the talents of Christine AKA @WildeThang . I'll be asking her to help out with some medals and badges that we hope to give out over the course of 2022 and beyond. Stop by to make sure you give thanks to her fantastic work! I'll be trying to work on some form of an infographic with available badges soon, with some hopefully hidden for you all to find for yourselves. The main thing is to try and be supportive and engaging wherever you can. Not just on the forums, on videos, quizzes, events and even online games with FG. Maybe we can get some special FG Friday ones for all to try and obtain too 🤩 Outside of this, and with the help of all of you, we're also going to make sure we more sustainable moving forward. Some technical points are being changed behind the scenes and we'll hopefully see some great things that will help you feel like its super easy to come here and more often too. I don't want to say much on this part just yet, other than keeping watching this space... As the above are just a couple of things to highlight, you know the score with everything else. "What? We have a website?". Yes, yes, we do. The joke is something that should be one that I hope to be turned around with a mic drop saying, "There ya go. Enjoy." Come on, I need your support this year to make the best one we've ever had. More Posts - have a voice! More Personal Progress Posts - check on other people's too! More Events - more clicking those Going buttons! More Videos - grab those funny clips and stick them up here More...just everything! I'll sign out with the thought of all your generous donations and support have helped keep people alive in the world today - and that isn't even an exaggeration either. They'll be a moment we all need that friend, that family, in our desperate hour of need. Its why FG exists. We'll make the tracks, all you lot have to do is show people the way. GGFG.

  27. Afternoon all! A new story thread for us to keep everyone updated on all of our escapades and laughs along the way. Finally managed to get onto the DayZ PS4 server on Sunday and it was a nice surprise to see so many of us on it at the same time checking it out @ChaosGladiator @jordie1892 @Nutcuttlit @Luseth . I started my spawn in Novyshovo, or whatever its called. The furthest South West on the main land I believe. Sebba started to make his way to me, but within a few houses I felt pretty good finding some half decent loot, a full police outfit that always looks cool and is well insulated, and a couple of sharp things to bop Zombies - a Scythe being the one I ended up using first! For once, I felt confidently that I could meet Sebba at Msta, slightly North of my current destination. Probably should've waited for the truck, but anyhow, as I made my way I got caught up in a few Zombie fights. Luckily only got cut once and managed to find Seb's mahoosive truck which we then took to a solid car to swap materials and help go get Jordie considering the biggest vehicle in the game couldn't fit more than 2 people in it - FML 😅 After collecting Jordie and then Matt, we made our way to check out what the vendor looked like as Nutty was coming from the opposite side of the island at the same time. We got there and it was a like a gold mine! Anything you could need is in there. I think I like @jordie1892 's thoughts that we keep this locked down, and only really use it much later if it gets a successful turn out with FGers and also randomers. It made me really want to get going into the North West Airfield for more loot and kicking some zombies ass! However.... It had been raining - tons - since we left Electra where Jordie was, so we needed to get warm and dry our clothes. I rung my top out but saw Jordie next to the barrel fire and doing it that way. Seemed to make sense. I could just stand there and over time i'll get dry. Or so I thought. I stood close to it for a minute and then walked around for a moment but was still wet, so back to the barrel I went. Next thing I knew though, my screen went black. I thought the server needed a reset and we all got kicked off....until Jordie and Matt are laughing their tits off as i'm, apparently, on the floor, knocked out with my foot now dangled in the barrel. I have literally no idea what is going on. Everyone is laughing at my still body and i'm looking at a continued black screen. They start pouring water over me, jabbing me with meds, but no response. I start seeing a faint light but falling unconscious again. Next thing I know talk about my clothes and handcuffs comes out. This was what I couldn't see... I have to say, I'm just glad my videogame self was packing below, because clearly I was tied up, half naked and somehow losing life whilst lolz continued. No idea how this happened. Must've been getting too hot close to the fire but couldn't work it out. After 5 minutes, the server did restart, but I was then found back at the coast, so it clearly killed my half naked body through my left foot burning. I still had time to race into the nearest town, drink some water from a bottle, get sick, and then cut myself so much from Zombie fighting with said water bottle and died a second time. I'm now back in a coastal town, on top of a freight with zombies around me - again. Good, solid first day of Survival on the server with FG as per usual! 😅

    Retro chat

Well, this is the point where my mind would love to go in absolutely every direction but ends up going nowhere 🤣 Great start off for the whole new section, I can see many new threads here that hopefully would be worthwhile. I should open by saying I absolutely love older games and enjoy building my collection in the hope one day i have that much spare time, I can start going through all of them and maybe even having people round for retro nights like I used to do even as a kid (17-21 I had 4-5 random TVs in my front room and had multiple all night gaming sessions with friends playing all kinds of stuff). Not sure what pictures wise to share though right now. I have around or just over 30 different types of consoles right now, but by far I love the Sega Mega Drive and SNES the most. No one can beat a game on a cartridge, its just the feeling of uniqueness and wonder when you have to blow the cartridge and slot before putting in and waiting for the relevant loading Sega logo to appear so you know its worked. Plus games back then were all about the fun factor and no extra frillyness that you had to worry about - looking at you loot boxes. One of my other favourite consoles is my Neo Geo CD. Maybe each one deseves their own little thread but for now i'll just say that this console makes you feel like you're back in the arcades playing those games you always wanted/needed £25 to play the whole game through, if you're lucky. Next step for my gaming area is waiting for my turn to have it get updated again, especially with the right storage as thats usually the one thing that stops me playing all my old games. Need a better and slicker system to plug in and play these old consoles without getting stuck with all the wires! 😅

  32. Hi everyone! I was encouraged by the kind Mr. GazzaGarratt to make my own introduction thread so here I am. XD I'm sorry I didn't do this sooner. I am actually embarrassed to these usually (lol even on the internet hehe) but upon the encouragement and also because I feel like this is a great place, I thought I'd do this. I also want to share something and I hope this is alright. There are actually two people on this account. We'll be using nicknames but don't worry, this isn't too far from our real names. I am Ryan and I share the account with my younger cousin Ellen, or Ellie. Or eL. Ellen comes from the Facebook generation and we're 15 years apart. I'm trying to teach her the ropes about forum communities which is incredibly alien to her lol. Anyway, she had a run in with some bad folk on some Facebook group who asked her too many personal questions, I wouldn't detail it here. I thought she might need a breath of fresh air and since she's a gamer, she'd also fit in right here. Sorry about this weird bit and I hope we're not breaking any rules but yeah, that's about it. And oh, she plays on Switch. I play on Xbox Series X. We usually swap consoles from time to time. Anyway, sorry I rattled on too much about me (err us?). I just want to say that we plan to stick around and engage in conversations, as well as share our own gaming experiences. Thank you for the warm welcome and Ellen and I both like the place! ❤️

  33. As a NYCer, I can't bring myself to watch anything about 9/11. I'm sure the documentaries and movies about it are worthwhile, and good for the sake of history keeping. But, everything about that day and the days and weeks after are something I don't want to watch or relive. I work now just 2 blocks from the WTC memorial, a place I never thought I would work. Last week in the city, as I got off the subway and walked to the office, it was somber with all the ribbons and whatever. I'm glad others are able to tell their stories about it to help heal... To watch these films to heal and know more about it. I just don't think I'll ever get there. Especially as other terrible things in the world continue to happen.

  34. So, imagine my surprise while I'm in the kitchen, prepping to make a batch of blondies, annoyed that I am out of chocolate chips that are over 70% and have to settle for 55% because I don't feel like hand chopping the 80% chocolate blocks, and I see this topic pop up in my notifications (initially, I wondered if it was spam...) Since I'm waiting for my browned butter to cool before I make the blondies, I thought I would pop upstairs and form one of my sort-of-coherent posts. So, we want to talk about chocolate, eh? Just the general percent stuff and not the disgusting mass-produced stuff, right? (Although, I will admit, the only mass-produced chocolate I like is Lindt because they somehow kept their flavor, texture, and quality after being merged with Ghirardelli and the trash that is Russell Stovers) Let's get something straight (and I say this in the most friendly and not food snobby way possible), @GazzaGarratt and @Spacedeck ... White chocolate is not chocolate. It is the absence of chocolate. It is sugar, cocoa butter (which is a by-product from making all sort of other chocolate and cocoa things), milk stuff, and vanilla flavoring. You're basically saying you like vanilla lol. Which is something entirely different. And, if I were to make a vanilla ganache or vanilla anything else that involves something creamy, I would be reaching for "white chocolate". Percent-wise, I prefer anything between 70% and 85%. Below that is too sweet to just snack on. 55% is probably the lowest I would go and that would be used in different applications that require the sweetness to balance out whatever else I just put it in. Over 85% gets a bit too bitter and probably should be diluted in something/mixed into something else. For example, hot chocolate where you can add sugar accordingly. Chocolate, itself, has an interesting history in that the way that we generally know it now as a sweet... was not always the case. It was a spice. And various cultures use it as such like Mexico in their mole sauce. Chocolate being sweet was a result of Europeans taking the cacao back home and going "let's add some milk and sugar to it".. then chocolate as we know it was born. It's why Swiss and German chocolates are a thing, yet they don't have the climates to grow cacao. Now, if we want to get into the food snobberiness that I come very very close to, there's even single origin chocolates. And, I can tell you now that I love chocolate too much to actually write down which single-origin chocolates I like over the others. They all have different flavor notes. Some more fruity. Some more bitter. Some that have a tannin-like feel in the mouth. It really just depends on what I have bought and have on hand at the moment to enjoy, that I enjoy. As for what chocolate you will see me buying... it's going to be from an eco-friendly, fair trade company. Right now, I mostly buy Endangered Species chocolates because of what they do with their profits. I recognize that my love for chocolate and coffee can have a negative effect on the environment, and it fuels my anger towards the big producers, like Hershey's and Mars, because they produce shitty tasting chocolate and are destroying the world as they do it. Bottom-line. I like dark. And, I like it over 70% lol. And, it better be actually good quality. 😄

  38. MW2 by name and MW3 by branding. Very much doubt it'll be able to live up to those classics and I'm really not sure on the name conflict with the iconic original. A reveal must be pretty imminent but my interest is fairly minimal. I don't have much confidence left in the franchise and Microsoft's near-acquisition of the company had no bearings on development or likely anything post-launch so this is still very much a COD title of recent. That being said, IW are probably the strongest part left of the series but they are still a shadow of their former selves and unless the cheating epidemic is addressed, it could be tarnished before it's even got started.

  40. So the likes of gamescom and E3 are dying out in favour of companies producing their own videos. Microsoft & Bethesda yesterday, Playstation and Nintendo do their State of play type of reveals while even PC gamer do their own reveal. Do any of you guy's watch them? I find them quite exciting seeing what's coming up (though there can often be some cringey moments in some of them) and I do dislike reveals being 3 or 4 years in advance just saying they are working on it without showing anything.

  43. A faithful remake is always welcome as is a polished remaster however this angle of the industry is usually of the cash-grab nature and it's never usually results in a gesture to fans that they truly deserve. The worst thing is when they remove the original games from sale and then replace them wholly with the new version aka remaster - Warcraft 3 Reforged did this whereby the removed staple features, applied a disgusting DRM layer and released a broken and disgraceful version in the process. GTA Trilogy Remasted also did this initially. Diablo 2 was also an excellent and incredibly faithful remaster futher ruined by publisher-made decisions and horrendous servers. Also the original is still available but Resurrected was supposed to offer users the best of both worlds yet within one week they destroyed almost everything and killed off a game that was going strong for 20 years. Other games like Demon Souls Remastered, Mafia Definitive Edition and the hugely impressive Resident Evil 2 are examples of games redone and done well particularly the latter. Others like Skyrim have been milked to death per generation but there's plenty of other worthy ones like Tony Hawk 1 and 2 along with Nightdive Studio's impressive range of old-school shooters they are rebuilding whilst retaining everything of the original titles. Those don't get the recognition they truly deserve. GTA Trilogy was one of the most disappointing, shameful and embarrassing releases ever though - such a prestigious range of games ruined by a mobile developer who used AI to recreate assets which resulted in significant amount of spelling errors and the games themselves didn't even go through Q&A testing! Even amateur modders have done better than multi-billionaires Rockstar with this and their work was DMCA'd to death as a result. There just isn't enough trust in the industry now from a consumer standpoint with these especially if games are being remade by people that were too young to even remember when the original came out. I love the prospect of a Max Payne remaster coming but I am not going to get 'hyped' or delude myself because of the problems above which prominent in this part of the industry across many developers and their respective publishers. Resorting to remakes or remasters is also a sign of no ambition, lack of creativity and developers/publishers being unwilling to take a risk on something original. That also rings alarm bells.

  44. If a game is to be remade I think I prefer the controls etc to be updated as well as the looks. I'm the opposite of Bones, I found RE1 remake very annoying but i do get that it makes the remake more authentic. RE 2 is for me probably the best way to redo a game. They did a fantastic job. But it depends...the Mafia remake redid the controls but I preferred the original rather than newer controls. Males me wonder about the GoldenEye remake, that would be awful with the original controls, unless they sell the N64 controller with it😁 While part of me thinks remakes are a sign of lack of imagination, if done well, like RE2, then I'm happy enough. The GTA remakes are the other side of the coin, just a shitty cash grab and have tarnished the franchise forever in my eyes.

Dear God! S10 is difficult! I think I clocked over 120 miles around Spa but only actually managed to complete 3 or 4 laps. Still, I got the gold in the end so that’s all licences gold for me. Which thankfully means, I never need to look at the bloody things again 😄
