  1. Afternoon all! A new story thread for us to keep everyone updated on all of our escapades and laughs along the way. Finally managed to get onto the DayZ PS4 server on Sunday and it was a nice surprise to see so many of us on it at the same time checking it out @ChaosGladiator @jordie1892 @Nutcuttlit @Luseth . I started my spawn in Novyshovo, or whatever its called. The furthest South West on the main land I believe. Sebba started to make his way to me, but within a few houses I felt pretty good finding some half decent loot, a full police outfit that always looks cool and is well insulated, and a couple of sharp things to bop Zombies - a Scythe being the one I ended up using first! For once, I felt confidently that I could meet Sebba at Msta, slightly North of my current destination. Probably should've waited for the truck, but anyhow, as I made my way I got caught up in a few Zombie fights. Luckily only got cut once and managed to find Seb's mahoosive truck which we then took to a solid car to swap materials and help go get Jordie considering the biggest vehicle in the game couldn't fit more than 2 people in it - FML πŸ˜… After collecting Jordie and then Matt, we made our way to check out what the vendor looked like as Nutty was coming from the opposite side of the island at the same time. We got there and it was a like a gold mine! Anything you could need is in there. I think I like @jordie1892 's thoughts that we keep this locked down, and only really use it much later if it gets a successful turn out with FGers and also randomers. It made me really want to get going into the North West Airfield for more loot and kicking some zombies ass! However.... It had been raining - tons - since we left Electra where Jordie was, so we needed to get warm and dry our clothes. I rung my top out but saw Jordie next to the barrel fire and doing it that way. Seemed to make sense. I could just stand there and over time i'll get dry. Or so I thought. I stood close to it for a minute and then walked around for a moment but was still wet, so back to the barrel I went. Next thing I knew though, my screen went black. I thought the server needed a reset and we all got kicked off....until Jordie and Matt are laughing their tits off as i'm, apparently, on the floor, knocked out with my foot now dangled in the barrel. I have literally no idea what is going on. Everyone is laughing at my still body and i'm looking at a continued black screen. They start pouring water over me, jabbing me with meds, but no response. I start seeing a faint light but falling unconscious again. Next thing I know talk about my clothes and handcuffs comes out. This was what I couldn't see... I have to say, I'm just glad my videogame self was packing below, because clearly I was tied up, half naked and somehow losing life whilst lolz continued. No idea how this happened. Must've been getting too hot close to the fire but couldn't work it out. After 5 minutes, the server did restart, but I was then found back at the coast, so it clearly killed my half naked body through my left foot burning. I still had time to race into the nearest town, drink some water from a bottle, get sick, and then cut myself so much from Zombie fighting with said water bottle and died a second time. I'm now back in a coastal town, on top of a freight with zombies around me - again. Good, solid first day of Survival on the server with FG as per usual! πŸ˜…

  2. It's kinda clear that they were going to offload these major remaster projects to probably the same shitty mobile developer that made the GTA Definitive Edition Trilogy. Neither game really needs a remaster - just another shameful cash-grab and if they were to go down this route then it would need the main developer houses to produce them - not some garbage mobile team who generates their assets with AI and has no QA testing in place. Now they'll just focus on GTA 6 and how they can milk the living shit out of that for the rest of the century. Rockstar Shelves Red Dead Redemption, GTA 4 Remasters to Focus on GTA 6 - IGN WWW.IGN.COM After its GTA Trilogy remake performed poorly, Rockstar shelved Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 remasters to focus on the upcoming GTA 6.

I like the idea of going back to basics. Rainbow 6 got a bit silly with gadjits and tings, it lost its grounding in reality and I liked the idea of it being realistic.

  6. another example of corporate taking the "wrong" lessons in my opinion, they receive backlash for legitimate reasons that they could listen to and make a better product next time but better play it safe and scrap everything, also giving us the message that either we are going to worship everything they shovel out, no matter the quality of the product or they aren't going to give us anything at all because we are "unreasonable" etc

  8. GTA 4 is still a good looking game on PC. All of the GTA rehashes have been awful and just further diminished the reputation of Rockstar. It does make you wonder what GTA6 will turn out to be, as it's a bit difficult to parody other aspects of contemporary culture when you've embraced some of the worst aspects of it...

  9. So it seems I was in the first few batches, the second in fact, and I completed the order yesterday evening. This time next week I should be the proud owner of as Steam Deck. My list of games I want to play on it keeps expanding: Disco Elysium Katana Zero Dishonored 2 Hotline Miami 1 & 2 Prey Rimworld Divinity 2 Pillars of Eternity Resident Evil 2 Legend Bowl The Outer Worlds

  10. Great minds think alike 😊 I thought an MW3 Shotgun M.O.A.B was worth sharing for the vibe. I probably have a few other random gameplays dotted about YT. And ofc about a million clips. πŸ˜‚

  12. Picked up a few SNES games last week. Final Fight is an absolute must. Was kind of a lesser game to Streets of Rage but it was still great to play. Always wanted to get into The Lost Vikings too. And any old golf game is a steal. 😎

    The 80s...

Yeh the 80s seemed such a cool era but I was 84 so was only a kid of course. I still love the music now though. I like the idea of how professional sports people just mingled in with the public a bit more. And yes I think what you mean about the sports lee is that even the ones who made it lived a more normal lifestyle it seemed, eg snooker and darts players swigging pints and having a fag between games and footballers getting on the sesh every weekend πŸ˜‚ but there were no camera phones to capture it back then

    The 80s...

I was born in 86, so missed most of the fun in the 80's. I would more class myself as a 90's child in terms of growing up and the general experience. Unfortunately I don't own anything as far as I'm aware of from that time period.

Yeah, the neon nightclub level is a thing to behold too. Plays very well and in single player it's very easy to control your AI squad mates. It's very tactical and slow paced, except when the shooting starts πŸ™‚

  17. According to Steam, Q3 emails start getting sent from 30 June. So, while I'm not sure I can afford it, I'm also hoping to be in the first few batchesπŸ™ƒ I'm itching to play Disco Elysium and see how Rimworld plays on it.

  19. Today is the big day for the first batch of Steam Deck customers. Emails are being sent out at 10am PST and then each person has 72 hours to pay in full. Unclaimed reservations go to the next person in line. I hear it may be a slow roll out and peripherals such as the Dock won't be on sale until the summer. Also, while they're still working their way through the library to verify games, apparently it's only multiplayer games that have issues with anti-cheat that have any problems. No idea when I'll get mine, happy to wait but must admit that I'm very excited and already have a list of games I want to play on it. Here's a sample: Disco Elysium Katana Zero Dishonored 2 Hotline Miami 1 & 2 Prey Rimworld To be honest I won't know where to start. I used to play DayZ mod and Civilisation in bed on my laptop 10 years ago, which I loved lol and the return to horizontal gaming will be interesting 😁
