  1. One of my other hobbies are RC monster trucks. Most of the ones I have are 1/10 & 1/8 scale trucks which I built myself by custom fabricating steel tube chassis with a tubing bender and brazing the joints to give it very high strength. About a year ago I decided to just go all out and built the biggest & baddest most scale looking Rc truck I possibly could build. It took me just over 10 months from start to finish, over 400+ hours of work, and honestly I could have bought a decent shape real truck for the amount of money I have invested into this thing, but it really is an absolute blast to drive this thing. It's about 33" long, almost 24" tall and 24" wide and weighs in at exactly 50lbs. I have around 200 hours just into the build of the tube chassis itself. I built it all out of 5/16" .062 wall steel tube. Axles are custom pieces made by a guy here in the US that makes them in small batches (Hess machine makes them). It uses a Castle 800kv brushless sensored motor and a Castle XLX2 ESC. Has a pair of SMC 9700mah graphine extreme lipos for 8s power. I made everything on it myself such as the headers are steel tube with plumbing fittings bent and ground down to look like real headers. Motor mount I fabed up out of aluminum angle stock and polished. Shocks are Xmaxx shocks I stripped the color off of and polished then refit with higher rate springs. Center diff is a spool (locker) out of a Losi DBXL. Drivers seat I made out of some sheet metal and then I 3D printed some gauges and such as well as numerous other scale parts. Body I airbrushed myself, another hobby I enjoy, and the chassis I had a local place powder coat for me bright yellow. Here are some pics of it. I'm not sure how this site does videos but I'll try to upload a couple vids of it running as well after the pictures. The other trucks in a couple pics are normal 1/10 scale ones I have to give a size comparison.

  2. So I just loaded up Fall Guys. The issue originally was that you could only have 4 in a party to go into a public game. They have now added the ability to create custom lobbies with up to 60 players. 4. Condolences for your sister mate, that must've been rough. Hope you didn't turn to the dark side though! That little cinema is absolutely fantastic, I really like that! Those seats look like the kind of seat you struggle to get out of! Also you're not allowed to post that you're playing with RC stuff without posting photos, you absolute monster 😄

  5. Thanks bud. It is really a blast to drive. To be honest it gives you that bit sketchy feeling inside when you drive it because 50lbs going 30-35mph could cause some serious injury/damage if you're not careful 😬 I've actually had a few people ask me to build them ones since finishing it a few months ago but always have to turn them down. One thing is the amount of work/time was just crazy, but also the money I put into it. When I started building it I figured I'd have around $2500 or so into it, but by the time it was all said & done, I went about $1000 over that budget 🤪 Here's a quick vid of it testing out how it handles some jumps back in April. Took about 2 months to get all the bugs worked out of it, but now I have it running pretty good and all the little bugs are worked out.

Development news 28/05/21 Time flies and summer is just around the corner. Here at Iron Gate, we’re still working from home, and we’re still looking for the perfect office. While those two things remain unchanged, exciting things are still happening within the company. The last couple of weeks we’ve been having interviews with several potential future coworkers, and we’re really excited to grow with more talent! While it may take a couple of weeks before the time comes, we’re really looking forward to introducing our new colleagues to you! We have in a way already received a new team member, say hello to Valheim the horse! We collaborated with our friends at Skövde ryttarförening (Sköve riding club) to get them a new horse (technically pony) for their riding school. Isn’t she a beauty? You will definitely see more of her in the future. (This does not mean that we’ll introduce horses to the game, but it does mean that Iron Gate will take field trips to the stables to meet our four legged colleague) Since last time we have as usual made some updates and fixes for the game. We, for example, overhauled the harpoon mechanics, added a pre saving message and updated the looks of the troll and two bosses! Our work on Hearth and Home is still going well. The update is starting to take shape and the past month has been very productive, with many new items and mechanics being finalized. There are of course many more things we want to make before the update is released, as we don’t want to rush it. In our last devblog we explained how we work, wanting to let things take the time they need, and not setting a release date before we know for certain that the game is in a state that we can proudly present, and the response we got was fantastic! We are eternally grateful for having such a kind and understanding community! We are very proud to get to be on this journey with all of you. In our last two updates we gave you some sneak peeks, and this time is no different! We all have a great time reading your theories on what the items could be, some are more correct than others, but they are all equally creative. This month we present to you these pictures, what do you think they could be? We are looking into hosting some sort of Q&A, hopefully in June, where we can answer your questions about the game, development and the team!

    Been MANY years!

You know how it is when you get old, time starts to blend together lol. Seems like it's been longer than that but then again sometimes I forget what day it is...so there's that 😁 Rod business is going great. Last year was probably my best year for sales in the entire 19 yrs I've been in business so I can't complain one bit about that. I put some money aside over the past few months so I could take a nice long extended fishing trip alone this spring so just starting to get ready for that now, I leave Thursday for that and plan to stay on the trip at least 2 weeks or more. Had a real rough couple month patch there this spring. Had some ear issues and went to the ENT and they did microsuction to clean my ears which had a VERY bad reaction for me. It gave me the worst case of tinnitus you could ever imagine. The first 5 weeks were so bad I honestly didn't know how I was going to go on living with that constant sound in my head. Had a few days of some VERY dark thoughts because it was just driving me insane. Thankfully it finally started to slowly ease off. I'd say now I'm about 90% better. I lost my Sister two years ago sadly. That was extremely hard on me because we were very close. She was only 51 yrs old. Other than that doing well. Been eating right and exercising a lot and lost another 55lbs this year (started at 400lbs 9 yrs ago and down to 210lbs now). Still love fly fishing and doing my bonsai trees. Still into RC hobby as well. Recently finished building a all custom tube frame 1/5 scale Monster truck that weighs 50lbs and does about 35mph. That thing is a blast. Still do some gaming, mostly COD, UFC, Red Dead, and a few others. Haven't been able to play much recently but I plan to do more when I get back from my fishing trip at the end of next month. About 2 years ago I turned my attic into a home theater/gaming room so I have a great place to do it now. I'll have to dig up some pics of the theater room I built, I think you'll enjoy seeing it. Did it in a whole Lord of The Rings, Game of Thrones, Medieval type them so has a real cool look to it.
