    FG Plays FTB Academy

Afternoon all, Speaking with a few people who are whitelisted on the sever but new to modded Minecraft, I have updated the server to run FTB Academy. From the mod page; https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/ftb-academy The biggest problem people have when they first start playing modded Minecraft is that there's no clear choice for which modpack to play. Learning the mods requires scouring online wikis and guides, and watching videos. FTB Academy aims to fix that problem. It is designed especially for people that have never played with mods. The modpack has over 300 quests to walk you through each step of the progression of the most common mods, and nearly 100 pages of Guides to give a more in-depth explanation for what needs it, so you don't have to go searching through wikis. Players will spawn in a school structure, where they will follow quests and in-world images to learn modded concepts like automation, technology, and magic. Once this tutorial area has been completed (only takes 5-10 minutes), you will be teleported to the Overworld to begin playing properly. I've had a quick look through in single player and the in game guide looks pretty comprehensive so should be good for teaching people the basics. For anyone more experience, with the exception of the guide and quest book, the game isn't changed so can be played as a regular mod pack. Server Details: Address: FGBeyond.minecraft-crafting.pro IP: 62.210.66.45:25414 Setting up modded MC I think that covers everything but any questions on setting up the modpack or anything in game feel free to ask. @Plumbers Crack @BO7H B4RRELS @datfroggieguy @craftofboredom @Spacedeck @Misneach_ - Tagged everyone whitelisted @Emma - I whitelisted you the other day but it doesn't like your username so guessing it's wrong somehow. If you want to join let me know and I'll whitelist your correct username.

  2. You'll probably like this one as it's much faster - the maps are slightly larger than the usual Treyarch offerings of late but there is plenty of action to be had and the game is pretty decent fun. Lack of content could prove a big sticking point in keeping users on board but what's there is actually very good. Not quite as refined as MW but way more enjoyable.

  4. DATE: 18th November 2020 SESSION: Week 1 Day 2 CALORIES: 2900kcals SESSION: Main compounds: Deadlifts 3x4@160kg Bench Press 1x3@110kg Bench Press 2x10@85kg FEELINGS: Deadlifts make you real humble, real fast. My hands are so soft from all this god dam hand washing we have been doing and I have really good lifting bars, the knurling on my deadlift bar is like a razorblades so holding on for 4 reps was killer! Still, it felt really good and looking forward to getting back up to some decent numbers again. Loving the bench press, it's my big goal for the next 10 weeks, I want to crack 150kg, ambitious but with good programming and nutrition I should be able to get close. IMG_9912.MP4

  5. Hi folks, I’m going to be using this thread as an online journal for my training over the winter now that I am returning to proper strength training. Feel free to voyeur and watch my progress or comment your support 👌

  6. Well I agree with everything James said. You will probably enjoy it as it is faster paced. There seems to be more action. Also Cold War in my opinion brings back more of the gunfight encounters that we were all so used to. More gun on gun. Also you have to move somewhat to keep ghost working. I also noticed if you run ghost and climb a ladder, at the top you will ping slightly for a split second as your dismounting. Well MW did get slow at times, Picadilly/Azhir Cave Kill confirmed. The score limit has never been seen. It goes 38-25 or 42-35 and the time limit expires 😂 I countered MW's slowness by playing Shipment most of the time. Over and over again. If they added Shipment to Cold War I would play it probably. Nuketown will be nice tho for challenges. Would be awesome to have WaW maps. Upheaval would be beast!

  7. Sounds good! I haven’t played the alpha or beta so no clue about it, MW really killed my love for CoD as it was so god dam slow paced!

  8. Well to be totally honest, it's a decent game and fun to play. But having a small selection of maps on launch makes it feel like you get some of them too often in rotation. The guns take ages to level up xp to unlock challenges and to get gold. A lot of guns go up to level 55. It seems to take forever past level 30. The Sbmm is extremely thick imo and sometimes it feels like you are punished for having a few good games in a row. Overall I'm enjoying it for the most part. Feels like an older cod like BO1/2. They will add more maps, apparently Nuketown coming next week. Guns will level up, just takes time. As more content gets added I'm sure it will get better. Definitely a bit buggy at times, but they already released a patch 1 week in to iron out some of these. I think the game will be smoother over time. If your used to MW, the feel of Cold War is very different. Not sure if you played the Alpha or Beta? Fov slider on console is pretty sweet. No claymores or masses of doors or windows. Maps are smaller, more options to run and gun etc. Primary gunfighter wildcard allows a 7 attachment gun which is interesting. Perk greed allows 2 of each perk, so 6 in total. Lots of potential and options the game has to offer. Depends on what kind of experience your after. Does have that old school arcade shooter cod feel. Not gonna lie tho, some matches are very sweaty. You would swear there was money on the line and CDL Champ Finals were getting played.

  9. Hello! Thanks for that @Greboth. Just wondering if I can just download it on twitch since it's on there? That should work the same way right?

  11. It’s amazing how quickly I’ve lost my strength levels, it’s also amazing how quickly it can come back. It certainly is lovely being a proper program again rather than just going in the gym and limping through sessions you make up as you go

  12. Good to see you back on form dude! Always interesting seeing the sort of commitment it takes to do this, and how quickly it all turns to crud when you stop. Crack on, keep those updates coming 😎

  13. Patch update 1.06 went live. Not a whole lot of info. But I noticed personally that the calling card bug is fixed and that the prestige level in-game bug looks fine. Some security and stability issues apparently. And rumours that the M16/Aug/FFAR have had adjustments. Also I heard some scorestreak values have been adjusted. The MP5 also had a slight nerf yesterday to base damage range. In my humble opinion, Treyarch have done more in 1 week than what IW for MW done in months. Let's hope they continue to listen and balance the game the best they can while adding content.

  14. DATE: 20th November 2020 SESSION: Week 1 Day 3 CALORIES: 2890kcals SESSION: Main compounds: Squats 3x4@130kg Floor press 3x8@60kg FEELINGS: The end of the week is always hard for me but today’s session was really good. My squats moved really well and I had no knee pain (the constant barrier I face until I can get surgery). It was lovely getting a visit in the gym from Maddie just before she went to bed. Floor press was great and I could have put quite a bit more on but I really wanted to focus on exploding off the floor to fire up those triceps. Did some lovely accessories after all that too and got a nice pump. Now for some lovely rib eye steak and an episode of the mandalorian!

Nothing too heavy and plenty more in the tank. It's lovely to get some battle bites on the back again from the squats. Calories were a bit shy of my goal of 3000kcals but you can only do what you can do!

  17. Each session I will post my main compound lifts and the sets reps etc. It will look like this: setsXrepsXweight for example: 1x5@127.5kg means 1 set of 5 reps using 127.5kg of weight.
