  1. I thought up an interesting idea a few weeks ago to buy a bunch of old Nintendo Power magazines and put them in display cases to mount on a wall in my game room. First magazine came in today and I’m pumped! Certainly not in mint condition but surprisingly it’s in fantastic shape. Goldeneye magazine should be here on Monday. Still trying to figure out which other ones I want. Obviously Mario 64, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong. Probably Mortal Kombat, Star Fox, Tony Hawk......so many to choose from. I’ll update once the final collection is complete and mounted.

  2. I've foucsed on farming and food but it's a good idea for multiple people to level up food just in case that one person isn't on. Our farm is massive now, we're just lacking corn but i found two seeds earlier so hopefully they'll pick up soon. The base doesn't need to be reinforced quite a bit and then we can think about starting to build a new one somewhere. Although i think we may have to venture out soon, so we can find more stuff. One thing i will say is that we need to start looting everything. I went into a looted building earlier and everything, except the rubbish, was looted. I got about 6 books, 1000 brass and the two corn seeds from looting the rubbish. Time got away from me today, will try and update more during the week.

  3. They looked so poor as well. For me, they are missing a Viera type player. An older, far more experience hard nose that breaks the play up and gets them moving up the pitch. Different to others here, I like Maguire as a defender but Lindelof is just not up to scratch next to him. You need pairings like Ferdinand and Viduc as one of them on their own couldn't do the job effectively.

  4. Very true and I’ll be happy if/when we get to ~40 points.....it was too good an opportunity to miss though! 🤣🤣

  5. A classic game most will have either heard about or atleast played, and more puzzle fun! Comix Zone (SEGA Mega Drive) https://sega.fandom.com/wiki/Comix_Zone Comix Zone is a classic many of you will be familiar with. As a child growing up, this was one of our most played games. You get thrown into your comic book and fight your way through various pages in which I imagine you need to defeat some bad enemy at the end, I don’t know as I currently haven’t completed this game *embarrassed*. The way you move between pages of the comic and the art style is some of my favourite from this time and I still have trouble with some enemies. If you haven’t played this, I very much would recommend doing so, the game looks great, sounds great and is an enjoyable game overall (albeit it is somewhat short with only 3 episodes!). Shove It! …The Warehouse Game (SEGA Mega Drive) https://segaretro.org/Shove_It!_...The_Warehouse_Game Released in Japan and US, this is one another puzzle game I enjoy playing. Your job is to organise boxes and place them in designated areas. It starts off fairly easy but it does start to get harder as you progress, some I’m still struggling with. Graphically it’s a little boring, as you are on the same floor with just a different layout, and different number of boxes. It’s a decent puzzle game and does start to offer some tricky situations you need to think your way around. So if you've ever wanted to work in a tricky warehouse designed to make you use your brain, give this a go!

  6. We're top if you have the table upside down😎 Horrid luck so far - about 7 first team players injured and several unfit, two tough opening fixtures in an already cluttered schedule and were absolutely skint! This season will probably be a write-off for most teams and most will be happy just to survive financially.

Great! I was thinking around noon (EDT). If an evening time works better for more people though, no worries!

I picked this up mid week. The graphics, gameplay, story and audio are all top notch. The gameplay is giving me that Children of Morta kinda vibe. I’ve been really enjoying the game so far. But, I can see it becoming boring as it’s basically the same thing over and over. The rooms are randomly generated after each death. Boons and bonuses are rewarded here and there to enhance your abilities. if you liked Children of Morta or any of the developers previous games, definitely give this one a go.

  9. I just bought this. I’m looking forward to jumping back into the world. I hope they do the same with the other crysis games. It would’ve been nice to see a trilogy remaster.

  10. I know it's been a long time to reply, sorry! @GazzaGarratt from what I know, the original Frogger was Endless, featuring the same level that just added in more objects / made the gameplay faster as you progressed. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I didn’t end up doing too much Retro gaming after my initial post, for different reasons. I recently reinstalled W10 for a fresh start, which meant obtaining all these games again. I wanted that retro feel when I play these games, so what better way to do that, than to buy controllers with the same button layout? I present the 8BitDo M30 and N30. While they contain some additional buttons due to being compatible with the Switch, it was the shape and layout that had drawn me in to purchase these. Due to the layout not really changing much, the N30 will be very good for playing NES (minus SNES) or older handhelds, and the M30 is great for SEGA related systems / handheld. So far they are excellent controllers and really help to give that retro feel. I have also purchased a Mayflash GameCube Adapter, meaning I can play GameCube games using an official GameCube controller. This will have to wait as I’m looking to borrow a controller from my brother, hopefully he will drop it off this weekend like he said he would. For now, this will also be used for any N64 gaming I do until I can afford an Raphnet Adapter that enables Rumble Paks (the only N64 adapter capable of doing so!), but this will be costly for an adaptor and ships from America. The only game I'll get around to showing tonight is one I only recently discovered, and it suits the type of games I tend to enjoy. Fire ‘n Ice (NES) https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Fire_'n_Ice A puzzle game in which the aim is to use the ice blocks, to put out the fires. You have a wand and have an ability to create ice, but only in the space to your bottom left or right (row beneath where you’re standing), providing there is room to cast. Ice that is created near a wall, sticks to the wall. Sometimes you will create a row of ice, go back and remove the ice attached to the wall, which will then create a block of ice from the remaining, which will fall to / rest on the nearest surface. You can only move one block at a time though, so completing some of these puzzles I’m finding a little bit tricky. I'm going to try get some more ready to post tomorrow.

  11. So the server finally finish building the world and it is HUGE!!! I spawned in a nice green zone and completed the initial quests for making some plant fibre clothing and bed and the trader it sent me to was in a large town / small city so plenty of loot to find. I originally hid at the top of a Sham foods factory to survive the first night but Rich said about it being a bad place to set up our temporary base so he found a better building to set up in. Rich, Lee and I have gone through plenty of bounty's to get that all important XP to the point I think we had 3 or 4 each to hand in to the trader at the same time. We've also found too much loot so we've had to place storage on the outside of a building to store stuff in that we can then come back to later. Though on that, we found out the hard way that if you loot a building before starting a quest that resets the building, it will also delete any storage you place in the area too 😞 We've had some fun too, the building Rich picked had a couple of zombie bears in so lots and lots of arrows later they were dead. Unfortunately I also found a house that a wolf and boar in the back but I thought they were in a cage. Turned out they weren't so that was almost instant death 😞 Lee has made a few push bikes for us so that will help with getting around. I think Lee has spent his points on getting the bikes where I've gone more in to hunting and cooking. I think Rich has done something similar to me too but not quite sure. I think both Lee and Rich have got up to Tier 2 quests where I'm still on Tier 1 but I've done quite a few so I must be close. I'm hoping it will only take 1 or 2 more quests for me to also get to Tier 2 so that's what I'll be working on.
