I haven't been impressed by any of the 343 developed entries in this series. If infinite doesn't live up to expectations, I wonder if MS will start looking into a new developer. Probably not but who knows. I think Microsoft have got themselves into a position where they could probably close the Halo franchise if Infinite fails to shine. If this was a few years ago then they'd be clinging on to dear life to any exclusive they have but now it's not so much of a concern to them I don't think. The MP is gonna be free so that'll be interesting to see how many people jump in and spend money on this. Having PC right off of the bat could be a key to its success but I'm still not convinced it's gonna be all that amazing especially when they went back to the drawing board for over a year after its original reception. Considering an Xbox now.... One thing that would help them win everyone over is the ranking system. Do we know if they are taking anything into consideration from the heydays of Halo 2? As it's 343 and the gaming landscape has long changed since then, I'd probably say no. The MP will also be free to play on PC and Xbox so I'm expecting some significant microtransaction elements in effect too. I still think it has some good potential though and hopefully lessons have been learned because their last two games and their only two have been quite disappointing.
