  6. I've just been to one of the most incredible places I've ever been. It was 4 years of waiting as we got stopped because of COVID back in 2021. Svalbard an archipelago in the arctic circle, the most northern continually habited town in the world. I've been to the artic circle before in Tromso but this place is a 3 hour flight north from Oslo. @Middle Class Caveman if you have any thoughts of going do it, most people haven't even heard of this place. We chose this last week as they do a whole local Christmas walk for the kids and it's in polar night, 24 hour dark, you can't leave the town without someone with polar bear protection basically they are armed. This two and a half day trip had a guided taxi ride to various places of interest, a few beers in their own brewery, my first snow mobile excursion, I ran a dog sled team no practice simply here ya go, we also had snow cat rides and reindeer stew out in the wilderness. I ended up in the background of an Instagram post made by the main content creator who lives their, I'll link her YouTube. Anyway I'll post a few pics and links.
  7. Hi, what sort of games are you into? And what platform are you on? We mostly play PS but there is some variety here and gamewise I think there are probably 4 or 5 mainstay games at the moment

  9. I just joined the forum and am happy to be here. I really love games. If anyone wants to play or just chat, please write to me! 🙂 I look forward to meeting you!
  10. Two new tracks dropping tomorrow. There's also paid dlc dropping too with new game features.
  11. Had some good games tonight. Especially when we just gathered more and more people until we were just a horde shooting everything like it was nothing. They should crank the difficulty on some enemy that 3 people just can’t kill. Force coop. What you do after that however…..
  12. Glad you enjoyed it! Really hope it cleans up at the GOTY awards as it is deserving of so many categories. Also with the FFVII Remake point - maybe if they cut half the crap in those games, they would've been able to make the whole thing in one package or whereby it doesn't take 9 years to finish the 'whole' game. I was engaged from start to finish and never got bored or felt needlessly side-tracked but some of these padding-filled open world games today are just exhausting to think about let alone play!
  13. So I realise I have not posted on this since completing it. I just wanted to say this is a brilliant game and a real gem so I advise not sleeping on it. I must admit I did not get the platinum, whether I will one day or not I don't know, I find myself not enjoying the trophy grind at the moment and just want to enjoy the games how I play them. On the game though, it is incredibly atmospheric, the audio and visuals are great and especially as you come to the end the story comes together really well. Just to echo James' point above the game is streamlined and well made, the story flows nicely and there isn't a load of filler, when you compare this to the Final Fantasy VII remake for example you sit there and wonder why they put half the crap in the remakes, why not lower the price, put less crap in and draw a bigger audience.
  14. So I watched the latest season, I appreciate they have deviated from the books and all that but as someone who really enjoys the Witcher universe I still found some enjoyment in the series. I appreciate the need to be true to source material and all that but sometimes you can still enjoy something, a new take or perspective of something if you view it as something new or different. It will be a similar conversation happening with the Harry Potter series when it comes out, when you do enjoy something then watching someone change or alter it can be difficult. It is the same at work, I produce a design and if someone then tries to do something different from it or someone asks me to change it to accomodate them I can get a little precious of it. But yeah just wanted to say the latest series was alright, not dreadful and not world shattering but I did think they did a decent job of the battle on the Yaruga bridge.
  15. I wonder if this will make any difference.... https://www.sportico.com/leagues/soccer/2025/premier-league-player-spending-rules-1234877403/
  16. I think that is why we have seen things turn a tide in recent weeks, all of a sudden trios has become a bit of a pvp fest because that is all there is really to end game. People have made a game of fighting each other in it but with stats not being tracked and things not being unlocked I do wonder for how much longer they will persist with the game or will we soon see them all drift away.

    Escaped!

The first person to ever Escape From Tarkov finally happened. I'm loving the story and associated missions but its quite a grind so it'll be ages before I'm in this position myself.
  18. I haven't played this much recently and I'm kinda at the stage where I know what is required to essentially complete the workbenches and then that's the game pretty much 'completed' in its current state. It's been one hell of a game and incredible value for money but there doesn't seem to be much of an endgame. I'm not sure how much legs this game has in its current form and I kinda wish the live event was longer and there was a bit more meat to it. I'm overloaded with gear to the extent, looting has lost a lot of meaning but the stuff I need is almost out of touch with the way PvP is right now and I can't be bothered taking in lots of gear, killing a major ARC and then getting shotted by a free loadout user. It's basically high risk, huge reward but at the same time potential infuriation. If successful, I then have less reason to play the game so I'm damned either way. The skill tree is just pure bloat and whilst the Raider Deck is good to sift through, it is essentially built off the back of doing generic daily feats. Another annoying thing is spawning in late when trying to do a task. Free loadout users should be the ones being dropped in late to lobbies and not someone geared up only to have 16 minutes. Better off just heading to the exit and even that's a risk in itself. Longevity is definitely an issue and although I didn't feel this way at 40 hours, once you progress so much and do so many runs, you can really see where this game is at.

    Valorant

Hi @Ulf , welcome to FG! Its not something I've been into tbh, I feel like my twitch days are well past me (probably never had them either!). Is it free on console?
  20. Trios seems to have descended completely into pvp now, it's not often we don't come across players looking to kill you which is a shame, it makes it a whole different game than playing solos but also makes it more difficult if we want to go after certain machines as a group. I also have only found 1 or 2 blueprints, seems some people have a fair few, is there anywhere in particular to go looking for them?

    Valorant

Hi, new here on FG Looks like nothing has been said about valorant since release (forgive me if I didn't search hard enough). Seems to make sense with most of the player base being effectively poached from CS and primarily American. Wondered if anyone here was interested in having a go? I've been playing for a couple of years now and to date it's been a very different experience to other FPS games because really I'd describe it as being CS but with more imaginative util that pretty much blocks players from dominating matches with cheater-level aim ability alone as long as they don't also have strategic dominance. PC player, the game is available for console too but there is no cross play because of MnK flash dodges let alone other things
  22. You can always tell when the kids start coming on, the game goes from relatively chill, to instant kill on sight. I take great pleasure in absolutely destroying the little cunts. All quests completed, rooster fully upgraded, a few workbenches done, think I've got two to go. Also found a few good blueprints, like the Wolfpack. 88 hours played. Still enjoying it.

  24. Sunderland still ended up spending close to £160m I think. They spent really well but if they were to get relegated, they'd be in a whole world of trouble for years to come and they wont want to go back to League One or end up doing a Reading. Leicester are due to be deducted an estimated 9pts this month for PSR violations too and their situation could turn extremely dire if they have to sell players in January to stop it happening in the summer. There's just not enough windows or time for teams who are going down to adjust their situation - I can understand why teams going up may be scared to spend because it means they don't have to try and balance the books to fit the stupid PSR rules in no time at all. Maybe getting promoted, planning for relegation and then trying to get promoted again isn't such a bad idea especially if you can pocket a huge sum. Spending it seems to have a double-whammy knock-on effect.
