Product Recommendation: Use Xbox Controller on PS4 or Switch

So, I have an Xbone, PS4 and now...  a Switch!

A Switch Pro controller is expensive and I didn't want to throw down for a 55 pound Pro controller. I came across this little beauty that lets me use an Xbox one controller on the Switch... better yet, my Xbox One Elite controller! This thing isn't cheap, per se, (£40) but when you consider that you can use one great controller (with paddles, in my case) on Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC, it's a great way to improve your gaming experience with a controller you've already got.  You can even map buttons on the fly instead of the XBox or PC app. Oh... and it supports Switch motion control. :)

The only potential drawback is that it uses a built-in battery which could be better. But, you can play and charge at the same time.

@Shucker, this looks awesome. It was only the other day I've been looking at the Switch Pro Controller as my kid wants to play Fortnite on something abit easier than the switch side controllers. I must admit, it's really difficult to play those types of shooters with the base controllers.

So, it says I can also use it with my PC too, right? If so, even though I love using only official controllers, this would save me a packet. Do I need anything else for PC or does it just link via the wire instead?

For PC you connect via Bluetooth or can use Micro USB for wired connections. Have put in several hours with it and it's been solid all around.

It's a difference of $5. I'd rather just have the Switch Pro Controller at that point.

Hold up, your Pro Controllers are $75? My God y'all get fleeced. The adapter in the United States is $49.99 (£37.58) while the Pro Controller is $56.99 (£42.85)

I bought it so I could use the Xbone Elite controller on Switch and PS4, so it's a solid deal for me (man, I love that controller). And to be fair, that's 55 quid with taxes in. Still not great but it's something.

BTW @GazzaGarratt, dunno if it's something you've considered but I got my kid (6 yrs) the Switch Labo variety kit at Tesco today for only £35.

I wouldn't usually go for it but i'm interested because I think i'll play my PC more if this works for that as well saving me another controler lying around capturing dust as the kid can use it to play Fortnite and Splatoon on Switch.
