Does the Japanese grey SEGA Saturn need a different power source?

I bought a Japanese Grey SEGA Saturn as well as a UK PAL black version and I wanted to ask other people who have actually owned these consoles whether or not I need a power converter for my Japanese Grey SEGA Saturn (model HST 3200).

Yeah you'll want a voltage converter for that, i don't think you'll be able to get a switcher for it due to the socket on the Saturn. 

 

I imagine you'll need a voltage stepdown converter, let us know if you have any more questions.
