In Fallout 4, the newsreader in the prologue mentions Vault 76 debuting in 2076 in honor of America's tercentenary when discussing Vault-Tec's plans to expand. So whereas the other games took place some 200 years after the nuclear war happened, this was take place 25 years after the war. Kind of like a prequel. It's been also hinted this will be similar to Rust, which I have no intentions of playing.
