  1. Finally we're here, the next PS5 hardware system update brings Discord to all of us. I tried to find the easiest video about which is below on how it works. I'd like to try and start using this more now because we can now have more crossplay evenings, not just PSN chat parties. I thnk the main thing to do is LINK your Discord account in the Linked Accounts settings on the PS4/5 first. Here's the full patch notes below: Version: 23.01-07.00.00 Main features in this system software update 1440p video output has been expanded on PS5. VRR (variable refresh rate) is now supported for 1440p resolution. More modes and HDMI devices are now supported. To check if your HDMI device supports this, go to Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > Test 1440p Output. You can now transfer data between PS5 consoles. Easily transfer all of your PS5 data to another PS5. This process doesn't remove or modify your data on your original PS5. You can now join Discord voice chats on your PS5. Link your Discord account to your account for PlayStation Network. Use the Discord app on your mobile device or computer to get a Discord voice chat going on PS5. You can also let your Discord friends see when you’re online and what you’re playing. Voice Command now supports using your voice to save video clips of your gameplay. Say "Hey PlayStation, capture that!" to save a video clip of your recent gameplay. The default duration saved is based on your settings. You can also save a specific duration of your gameplay, from 15 seconds to 60 minutes. For example, to save 5 minutes, say "Hey PlayStation, capture the last 5 minutes". Say "Hey PlayStation, start recording" to manually start a new gameplay recording. You can then say "Hey PlayStation, stop recording" to end the recording and save the video clip. Currently, Voice Command (Preview) is only available in English for players with accounts for PlayStation Network in the US and UK. Other updated features The following improvements have been made to the screen reader feature. The screen reader now gives more detailed guidance when navigating the console. It will now tell you which direction you can move from the currently selected component, as well as your current position in a component with multiple items. When using the screen reader in the web browser, you'll now see borders around the section that's being read aloud. The screen reader was updated to correctly read aloud certain key terms. The following features have been added to game hubs: Every game will have a timer on the game hub tracking total time played. Game progress will also be displayed for games that have a maximum number of story activities. A Friends Who Play tile has been added. You can see which of your friends own the game and who is currently online. By selecting the tile, you can see what your friends are doing, and you can also access your friends' profiles where you'll be given more interaction options. The trophy tile has been moved and updated so it's easier to access and displays your trophy progress. Competitive multiplayer cards can be displayed in full screen. By selecting Start Activity, you'll be taken straight to that match. The prominent placement and size of the card makes an easy option for multiplayer. The following update has been made to the cross-play feature. In-game session cards of cross-play games, you can now see the members who are playing on other platforms. The following features have been added to Game Base. You can now send a Share Screen request or start sharing your screen with a friend, directly from their profile. Select the Share Screen icon on your friend's profile. You can also send a Share Screen request to your friend from PlayStation App. On the voice chat card, a joinable icon will be displayed for party members playing a game you can join. You can join the game directly by selecting the player, and then selecting Join Game from the menu. Friends that are active on PlayStation App will now show up as online on your friends list. We made the following improvement in game library: You can decide the default sort order for games within gamelists. Use filters in your library to easily find PS VR- and PS VR2-compatible games. The following settings have been added to game presets. You can set your preferences to manage who can join and who can invite other players to multiplayer sessions you've created for supported games. Go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Game Presets > Online Multiplayer Sessions, and select your preferences in Who Can Join and Who Can Invite. When downloading or installing a game, the way your saved data is checked has been changed. If it's a PS4 game and you have no saved data in console storage, you'll now be notified if PS4 saved data is available in cloud storage. If it's a PS5 game that can use PS4 saved data, and you have no saved data in console storage, you'll now be notified if PS4 saved data is available in cloud storage. To download your saved data from cloud storage, press the PS button to expand the notification, and then select Download PS4 Saved Data. You can now select which Media Gallery files to manually upload to Captures on PlayStation App. Existing content policies still apply. The following changes have been made to the on-screen keyboard. When you start entering characters, suggestions appear at the top of the on-screen keyboard. If you press the R1 button, instead of entering the first suggestion, you'll now just select it. To enter the selected suggestion, press the cross button. If you see learned suggestions that you want the console to forget, you can delete them from the options menu. (Only for Japanese keyboard) The suggestions that appear while entering characters are now shown in both half-width and full-width characters. Unicode 15.0 emoji can now be displayed. The time required for performing integrity checks on downloaded data has been greatly reduced. This process is done while the [Copying...] label is displayed on the downloaded item in the Downloads/Uploads control in the control centre. The way installed games are started has been changed. If your PS5 has the download version of a game that you haven't purchased (such as those that other users on your PS5 have purchased), and if you have the disc version, you can now play the installed download version by inserting the disc (without installing the disc version). Similarly, if you've installed a game using the disc, and you've purchased the download version of the game, you can now play the installed disc version of the game without inserting the disc. The hint system has been expanded to display a list of objectives if the game provides them. Select any objective to see a more detailed video or text hint. You can now view and manage your authorized apps in Settings. Authorized apps are third-party apps and services that you've linked your account for PlayStation Network to. When using an authorized app, you give permission to share your account data with that app. To view and manage your authorized apps, go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Authorized Apps. We've updated the device software for DualSense wireless controller, DualSense Edge wireless controller, and PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers. The update will improve stability. You can now update the DualSense wireless controller device software with a wireless connection. If you have trouble updating the device software wirelessly, connect your controller to your PS5 using the USB cable to update it. You'll be able to update wirelessly for the next update. DualSense Edge wireless controller and PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers already support wireless updates for the device software. This update isn't required for performing wireless updates for these controllers. The following issues or problems have been resolved. An error dialog message that gave misleading information referring to parental control restrictions when using the web browser was fixed. An update was made to address an issue causing some IPS LCD monitors to flicker when VRR (variable refresh rate) is turned on. This update may help solve this issue on these monitors.
  2. Here's some of the info and screenshots for the new quest system. Looks like new grunts too that will have weapons now, which defo adds a new dimension to the gameplay. Here's the developer stream too that goes into better detail on what's coming in: Seems to be replacing daily/weekly challenges so definitely a very good first step into adding objectives to when you are playing each round. Hopefully they can expand on these Quests to eventually have multiple step quests with a big reward at the end. This game still has a great intense feel to it.
  3. Yet another great update incoming to Wreckfest and I think this one has some great features, especially the brand new Wrecking Track! Patch info from BugBear below: HIGHLIGHTS New tournament: Wrecking Madness New free Wrecking Playground environment New Speedbird GT tournament reward car New Extreme damage mode Improvements and fixes We're excited to announce a new tournament, and this time it's something that's going to blow your socks off! In 2013, we released the seminal tech demo "Sneak Peek" that gave you the first taste for Wreckfest (back then modestly called Next Car Game) and set the standard for our future endeavors. That was almost eight years ago, and now we're giving you the chance to relive the glory of that very tech demo! That's right - this update includes a new free track Wrecking Playground that's basically the tech demo environment reimagined, vastly expanded, improved and brought up to contemporary standards, not to mention that it's now available on all platforms. Not only that, but we also implemented a new tech demo inspired Extreme damage mode that cranks the visual damage knob all the way to 11 and disables gameplay health so you only get wrecked when you lose two or more wheels and the car is inoperable. The tournament is themed around the Wrecking Playground environment, with the monthly event challenging you to score points by wrecking your car, destroying objects and getting airtime. To make sure you can really go to town with vehicular destruction, resetting the car will repair it instantly. The weeklies are timed events in which you need to collect the special Bugbear coins littered around the level as quickly as possible. And of course, since any tech demo remake wouldn't quite be the same without the iconic Speedbird with Next Car Game livery we're bringing it too back as a tournament reward. And the best part? Wrecking Playground and the accompanying Extreme damage mode are both available in multiplayer as well. As a special trick, whenever the game mode is set to deathmatch or team deathmatch and damage mode to Extreme, single player or multiplayer, resetting will instantly repair the car just like in the tournament events so you can get the full Wrecking Madness experience with your friends as well! As a standard practice, this release also contains a number of additional enhancements and bug fixes such as improved anti-aliasing and performance on PlayStation 5. We invite you to check out the release notes below for a complete summary of items fixed or improved upon. As always, thanks for all the feedback and please keep it coming! Let's start wrecking! 4. We're alive....and free hopefully!! The last few months has been hopefully more uplifting for you all as we enter many places nearing the end of some/most social distancing rules and also with the fantastic run the English side were on throughout the whole of Euro 2020 (in 2021, still can't get over the name not changing!). We're also entering holiday season for many of us across the world too and I think it'll be good to get some fresh air and experience some of the places we haven't been able to the past 18 months. That being said, there's a few things upcoming at FG to keep an eye out for as we go under some significant changes I've wanted for many years. Achievements/Ranks/Gamerscore I've wanted some form of an FG Gamerscore for a while as an incentive to make things fun and interesting when you come back to the Home of FG, as well as having fun online in FG Games. With the next software update, we'll imminently have a new ranking system that links to points. Some might remember I tried a while back but didn't quite work as there wasn't enough resources at the time. Now, we can take advantage of some cool updates that are all integrated with the Home of FG. A sneak peak of how things will start to look are below. This is something that will help us all realise there's always been way more to FG than just a few forum posts. 'Levelling Up' with FG can actually be a real possibility which i'm super hyped for! Medals/Badges With brand new ranks and levels to chase, come Medals to earn. You could argue its similar to Triumphs on many games we play mentioning no names *Desti..cough cough*. These will be things that you can earn that will give bonus points that goes towards your overall FG Gamerscore. Some will be very basic, like opening post, creating topics, and just by visiting FG everyday but some might make you look across FG, creating interesting stuff for all to see, maybe in Videos, Quizzes, Polls, etc. Equally, I want to create Medals to earn that are a part of the joy we bring online with us all. We have some featured FG Games already and would love to expand on this over time. For example, we could have some that relate to our GT Sport league races, FIFA Monday Night Football, Destiny Raid Nights and of course, any games we play on FG Fridays. These are supposed to be cool things to chase for fun and show off between us all and the more we can make, the more exciting it will be to interact and get around all the games we play together. These will also show on your profile and I intend to have a page where you can find descriptions of Medals you can earn. Please be aware though....there will be hidden ones you'll have to find! Maybe checking other people's profiles over time will help you work out what's achievable! Push Notifications to Mobile devices This one makes me happy beyond belief. I think one thing is noticeable that many like to be nudged by a pop up on their phone if they've been tagged or quoted somewhere or maybe even if they've received a reaction. It reminds us that FG is around as it can slip people's minds sometimes as we have our normal lives to deal with. Notifications can be switched on so you'll need to accept to receive push notifications for your mobile, once live. The only restriction i've been made aware of is (as usual) is Safari on Apple devices. I mean, you should be downloading Chrome anyway these days, even on Apple devices because Safari kills souls over time. More details to follow on how to make sure you get all the notifications! Homepage link for mobile devices In conjunction with the notifications, you should get opportunity to add FG as a homepage on your phone. This will make FG look and feel exactly like an App would and far better than the Tapatalk one we had in the past. You can then also see notifications linked to it, like your apps do. I really want as many of us to take up these so you don't miss out on any FG action and it helps me not have to nag/nudge/annoy the crap out of you on other platforms! In other news..... We also have some amazing FGFGF news we can now share as some of you already know, which will highlight how important you all are to continuing to donate to the cause of making people smile and feel good. We have GT Sport Summer Season starting this week and want as many to turn up each week to enjoy the fun and learn where we can FG Fridays will be back up in advance on the Event Calendar so we can all make sure to nudge your best FGer and get them to get online where we can - the aim has to be a huge 20-30 plus lobby of all of us on the games we now have to offer (Fall Guys, Bomberman, Among Us, Battlefield 5, Wreckfest, GTA Races, CoD MW Remastered) Raids every week on Destiny for anyone that wants help and just all round general fun running more and more of them More regular Quizzes to play! There's probably more (there always is!) but i've probably worn you out with the essay as usual 😄 All i'll ask is to be patient with us over the next 4 weeks as you see things subtely changing and there may be some down time as we update many of the applications and software we have behind the scenes. It'll be all worth the wait i'm sure! Let me know what you think of the updates, and if there are any medals/badges you wanna see we could give out drop the ideas below, you never know as we have LOADS to make!! GGFG ❤️
  5. If you love Marvel, prepare to have happy tears 😄😍😪
  6. Press release from Bungie website: Bungie Prepares for Future Growth in 2021 > News | Bungie.net WWW.BUNGIE.NET This is pretty significant news for a company that is now out there on its own, its clearly very successful still on the back of the current state of the game via the income streams they get as to create a whole new International HQ in the middle of Europe is a statement of intent that Destiny 2 is here to stay and grow longer, alongside whatever their brand new IP will be (out before 2025). The fact there has always been huge debate on how good or bad a season is and the huge amount of feedback they receive to keep improving the game shows there is a massive desire for the Destiny Universe to carry on. With more and more people that I see online and out in the media/streamer section, people are either picking it up for the first time or returning with better/improved views of the state of the game. It'll always have 'droughts' or quieter spells and i'm glad it does. This game should strive to survive alongside other games rather than be the only game to be played. The past few months they are nailing that without the severe FOMO and grind that was always with Destiny.

  9. Looks like theres a playstation update out thats changing a number of things existing whilst getting ready for PS5. Grabbed the following from Playstation: Includes changes to Party and Messages features, new avatars, updated parental controls and more. Our latest system software update for PlayStation 4, version 8.00, is launching today globally. This update includes changes to the existing Party and Messages features, new avatars, updated parental controls and more. Here are some of the key features in this update: Updates to Party and Messages Following this update, Party and Messages will be more tightly linked together and you will see changes to the UI. Both apps will now use the same ‘Groups’ of players for Party voice chats and message exchanges, instead of having different groups setup across the two apps. So now you can start a Party chat or send a message to the group you’ve previously chatted with across PS4, as well as PS5 when it launches. New Avatars We’re expanding the collection of pre-set avatars for players to showcase on their Profile. An array of new avatars from your favorite games will be available, including Bloodborne, Journey, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, The Last of Us Part II, The Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and many more. Mute all Mics from Quick Menu We’ve added an option to “Mute all Microphones” in the Quick Menu, so you can easily mute your mics while gaming. Simplified and more flexible Parental Controls Under Parental Controls, we’re combining the ‘Communicating with Other Players’ and ‘Viewing Content Created by other Players’ into one setting – ‘Communication and User Generated Content’- to cover both areas of communication and UGC sharing. This offers a simpler setting that’s easier for parents to understand and apply to their children. In addition, children can send a request to their parents to use communications features in specific games. When a child sends this request, the parent will receive an email notification and can choose to make an exception for that game and allow the child to use its communications and UGC features. This will provide more flexibility to both parents and children. Enhanced 2-Step Verification The 2-Step Verification (2SV) feature on PS4 will be enhanced to support third party authenticator apps as an option during the activation flow and 2SV sign-in across PS4, mobile and web. Removal of Event Creation and Private Community Creation After 8.00, you will no longer be able to create Events or access existing Events created by other users. We’re also removing the ability to create private Communities under the Community app on PS4. If you already have existing private Communities, you can continue to access them. Updates to Remote Play App on Mobile and PC At the same time as 8.00, the existing PS4 Remote Play app on mobile (iOS/Android), Windows PC and Mac, will change its name to PS Remote Play, and the option to connect to PS5 will be added. You’ll need to sign in to PSN from your PS5 to be able to access the feature, so sit tight until PS5 launches this November! As a reminder, a PS4 system with a wired connection via a LAN cable is recommended to download the update.
  10. Its been a while since I did an FG update. So bear with (with who? where is he! I can't see it!? ffs, Lee) I'm sure everyone's days are blending into one these days. 2020 has been one of those years for the history books and we could've said that in March, let alone December which is still just over 5 months away. Isolation has been a double-edged sword in some respect; its been great to see so many chances to spend more time with your immediate family at home but what comes with permanent home comforts is the lethargic lack of routine, loneliness, depression, anxiety which we've also seen impact so many of us. I imagine you all can relate to some degree? For a week or two I've wanted to write something but I've hesitated because I know I have to be ready to 'Walk the Walk' not just 'Talk the Talk' when I really want to make the most of this place for everyone and makes sense to pick up the things we've talked about over the past few years. Who knows if i'm ready, but i'm willing to give it my best shot and there's no better time to dust ourselves off in the midst of some soul searching in isolation. It'd be ace to start creating some of that Legacy i talked about in the article I did back in January. I think the best way to keep everyone in the loop is being open and letting you know a few pressing items I want to see progress with over the coming weeks and months - and I would love to get as many of you involved which I'm working on ways to get to that. Please keep reading! Merchandise Shop - this requires me to purchase and install a whole new section for FG which i'm hoping you'll all enjoy FG Points/Gamerscore - A way to have a meaningful way that gives everyone here an added bonus for being around FG where possible Creating new sections New entire page spaces for games - we can make as many as we'd like providing we can maintain support New homepage - to remind everyone of everything we do. We aren't just a Forum any more, we are far more awesome than that Expanding existing areas Guides & Tips section - the fairly new section needs some love and there's some amazing people here that do great info tips for you all that can easily get lost Re-engaging with old FGers - life's too short to miss everyone and its great seeing so many faces come back, lets do things to get other ones back too. For me its the case of, Why Not, you have nothing to lose seeing old faces and friends. Open our doors to new FGers - we should make more people aware of what we do best - they can have a home here and we can all help them in whatever problems they have. The PPR section just shows how much we have all done to help each other and long may that continue. Regular gaming nights schedule - to help people to keep themselves free, get involved and most importantly make sure the right game is updated and downloaded! Finding more ways to help others Picking up and driving some real charity fundraisers starting with charity streams Try to get a regular pattern on sending out Feel Good Fund parcels to caring FGers I'd hope you all agree whilst there's more we can always find to do, most importantly this is a ton to look forward to as a group/family. 12. 1.41 Update is now live for Consoles. PC went live a few weeks ago. Big bits in here is the brand new trial PvE mode and Dual Wielding is live! Full Details below: HIGHLIGHTS Dual Wielding – Double the gun, double the fun. This Update brings the long-awaited Dual Wielding feature, available when using two identical handguns. Trials Mode – You have asked, and we listened! We are happy to introduce the first iteration of our PVE mode – Trials! Explore the maps, complete difficult challenges, and collect Trial Stars for exclusive rewards. New Legendaries – The update brings three shiny new Legendaries as well as two other exclusively unlockable with the Trials Mode! Dual WieldingDual Wielding Handguns is a new and exciting feature in Hunt:Showdown, allowing players to equip and use two handguns at the same time. All available handguns that can be used for dual-wielding: Pair of Nagant M1895 Pair of Nagant M1895 Silencer Pair of Caldwell Conversion Pistol Pair of Caldwell Conversion Chain Pistol Pair of Caldwell Conversion Uppercut Pair of Caldwell Pax Pair of Caldwell Pax Claw Pair of Bornheim No.3 Pair of Bornheim No.3 Extended Pair of Nagant M1895 Officer Pair of Nagant M1895 Officer Brawler Pair of Lemat Mark II Pair of Dolch 96 Equipping Every Handgun can be equipped for dual-wield as a "matched pair". A second handgun of the same type can now be added to the same weapon slot. The slot will convert to medium size when the second pistol is equipped. It is possible to mix normal and Legendary versions of the same type as matched pairs. Dual Wielding is available from Rank 1 and does not require any unlocks via Traits. Equipped weapon pairs can not be broken up while playing; you are committed to use them as pairs until extraction. When looting a dead Hunter, you can pick up their dual-wield sets just like you would any other medium-sized weapons. Shooting Weapons have to be fired in sequence one after the other. The rhythm is dictated by the shooter, allowing players to experiment. Hunters can either go for a steady, constant fire-rate or try faster two-taps with longer breaks in-between shots. Recoil is increased over single-handed handguns, making it harder to stay on target (esp. with more powerful handguns). Effective rate of fire is increased, but still lower than the rapid burst from a single-action revolver using fanning. Aiming Aiming Down Sights (ADS) will only apply a slight zoom, with the guns moving a bit closer to the center of the screen. Weapon Sights are not used at all, reducing range drastically over other weapons. Dual-wielding accuracy only benefits minimally from crouching (just like with Fanning and Levering Traits). Reloading Weapons are reloaded at the same time in sequence, one bullet at a time. Extra ammo pools are added up. New Trait added: Ambidextrous Available for 3 Upgrade points Available at Bloodline Rank 44 "Quicker reloading of matched pairs, and custom clip reloads for semi-auto pistol sets." Developer Note: With this update, we are finally releasing a feature that we had on our roadmap for quite some time! Dual-Wielding aka Akimbo. It's a major upgrade for all handguns, allowing them to be used in a completely new way. So far, players could choose to fire them conventionally - or by unlocking the Fanning trait - as rapid-fire single-action revolvers from the hip. A third option now becomes available by choosing to equip not one, but two into one slot. Where shooting a handgun normally is best for precision, and using fanning or rapid-firing a semi-automatic pistol gives a short burst of impressive firepower up-close, dual-wielding sits somewhere in the middle between them: Not as precise and not as fast, but with double the ammo capacity, perfect for suppressing fire or taking on hordes. Now, why would players want to equip a matched dual pair of handguns? We think there are a number of different appealing scenarios here. Firstly, the option is available from Rank 1 on and doesn't require any traits. You just have to combine it with another medium slot weapon, like a sawn-off shotgun or rifle. This makes a pair of dual-wield Nagant M1895 the strongest rapid-fire option for new players right out of the box. Secondly, it gives players impressive firepower to deal with mobs and to take part in prolonged fire-fights. Having double the extra ammo capacity means you can keep on firing for a longer time while keeping the enemy away from that window or that corner, allowing your team to take the initiative and move around more freely. While accuracy is much reduced, even only hitting the 3rd or 4th shot still hurt, and those lucky headshots are still a very real possibility. Lastly, when assaulting a strongpoint, such as a boss arena, dual-wielded handguns are much more flexible compared to Fanning as they reach out to more than double the average effective combat range, allowing you to fight along corridors or inside larger rooms where Fanning shots would prove less effective. Dual-wielding brings a new component to Hunt's gameplay. Some will love it for its coolness factor, others will find it 'disgusting' as it goes against the long bullet meta of the "perfect shot". We hope that there is something in it for everybody, and that it opens up room for new battle tactics, easier combat against monsters as a backup (those Hellhound's won't be laughing when you bring 12 instead of 6 shots of your favorite revolver), as well as more intense shootouts with medium-sized inventory kits. There are a lot of options to explore and we are eager to hear your opinions on it! Trials Mode (PvE)Trials is a new singleplayer game mode aimed at new Hunters and veterans alike, allowing to explore the world of Hunt:Showdown and complete different types of special assignments. Exclusive Rewards: Unlock Legendary Specter 1882 Bayonet "Tartufai" when reaching 20 Trial Stars Unlock Lengedary Nagant M1895 Officer Carbine "The Cordwainer" when reaching 45 Trial Stars ***Developer Note:***It can be hard for new players to learn the lay of the land and all the little secrets of the Bayou with the constant pressure of encountering other players. Trials aim to give them a chance to practice before venturing on into the Bayou and competing with other Hunters. Without this pressure, players can now spend more time preparing for real encounters, making it easier to move on to Bounty Hunt when they feel ready, equipped with map knowledge, basic combat skills and a good understanding of the horrors that await them. In addition, veterans can hone their skills and show that they really mastered the game with a perfect score of earned Stars and access to the exclusive Legendary weapons to brag with. With Trials, we are finally adding a PvE component to the game that has been missing for a long time. It's a new pillar of Hunt:Showdown that can attract new players, who are less focused on fighting others, but rather enjoy the game and its setting in different ways offline. We plan on expanding the Trials experience with future updates, adding more challenges and additional exclusive rewards for players to unlock. The first batch of Trials have been around Stillwater Bayou. The next batch will be focused on the second map, Lawson Delta. 13. It was about time we needed a little refresh of sorts for our home to keep it fresh and take the FG baton speeding into 2020. So, I've spent quite a while updating most of the applications and features here but of course, as you can see we now have a nice new feel! Whilst there's still lots to do and updates to be done across many parts of FG still, this is a nice way to go into the Christmas period with a swanky pad befitting all your needs. You'll see you can now directly choose Light or Dark theme at the top without reloading, change the header to your own one on your Profile at FG and even change the theme colour if you want to (our FG red is the default). The videos section is a brand new section to build on, with options to add live streams that you are aware of. We can make collections when required to do so - go and put some reviews on some of the videos here! We also have Articles which is brand new. This is very similar to the blog space we used to have years ago but now its incorporated and if you feel like you have a good lengthy story to tell rather than in a post, lets hear them! You'll see we already have a number up and waiting to be read so dive in and let us know what you think of it all. There's lots more around so i'll let you have a look around and find stuff out, equally any questions please shout up. I'd urge you to go and visit via your browser or PC if you can so you appreciate the full changes. If there's demand we can do some simple guides to navigate, etc. Lots of the pages and spaces we have are due to be fleshed out a ton over the Christmas and New Year period so you have any suggestions as always, please try and use the tracker so we can get some use out of it. You might've noticed I've been a little quiet of late - I appreciate every single one of you being around for my Grandad/Dad (more in my PPR if you need more info). Not enough words can be said for what this family does for each other and i'm forever grateful. Its why I love spending time making our home the best place for all of you and any new FGers that come to stay. Sound off below! GGFG

  17. Sea of Thieves is now moving to a monthly cadence for updates so we have more regular changes to the game that should make you want to stay in the game for longer periods rather than wait for months with the big content drops they've done previously. I like this way of updates. Initially feels light but before you know it they'll be a few more months content and it pushes the play around the seas and gives you multiple choices to have different nights chasing after different loot or whatever the update is. I really fancy jumping back into this to see if we can find some of this explosive loot and see if we can get the high value contracts/quests. What do others think to this more regular pattern of updates?
  18. I was aimlessly looking into my screen for multiple nights here, thinking my life isn't in the most 'ideal' position. And then I looked at 2 things: 1) all the messages i've been recently being talking with and 2) my very first Private Message on here. Firstly, I really enjoy keeping in touch with you all, either on here or whatever way we possibly can. I think when things are difficult or different in your life its always good to keep perspective. Yeah, I'd love to give more to my family but actually i'm in a really good spot and i should be more grateful. I think lots of people don't realise how much other people, that are pretty much your mates that you game with and share the best moments of your life with, can have serious problems in their lives. From depression to critical accidents to marriage breakdowns to severe anxiety and then to life threatening scenarios, this list could go on and on. I'll never share personal conversations, thats not right to do so, but I think it's right for me to say this out loud that for these reasons alone is enough to keep me driving this place forward with the all the great people that support it so much. You see, I will always be there for you all. But it isn't just me. Forever Gaming will be here for you all. Whenever you need us. There's some wonderful people here that have some great views on life and offer amazing support, even when you think you don't need it. I can't do this without @Diddums @phil bottle @tronic44 @crispymorgan and everyone else outside of us that sort out the little adminy bits to keep it ticking over. The second and last point to make is when I was looking for @ChaosGladiator address in my PMs so I could send him a little pressie from the FGFGF, I came across @Stretch616's PM to me on October 26, 2014. It was a blog draft for our first ever Vault of Glass run. Its an amazing write up and made me realise not to feel so bad to nudge and nag (just like this post) some of you to remind you why we're here and why we're more than just a gamertag. I'll put his original post in a Spoiler below but I wanted to pick out a key message in his awesome write that I don't think ever got to a blog post in the end. It was this: However, Forever Gaming is not about the end result, it’s about the journey. I think it says it all. I'll be sharing this around with as many FGers, old and new as I can. I think Stretch's words are worth reading alone. And if you still with me by now, thank you. For that, its the reason why as of today you now see whole new sections for Guides, Tournaments, Photo Comps, Controller Hospital (Patch Notes below) and everything else that was already here. Thanks all for an amazing ride so far. I appreciate every single one of you coming back to FG, however long your absence has been. What I do hope this time though, is you just stay a little longer - you may not know or realise it, but your words and time taken out to read others words might make the key difference in their life. 19. Taken from Bungie Website THIS WEEK AT BUNGIE – 6/13/2019 11h - Cozmo This week at Bungie, we watched Guardians hunt for Truth. Season of Opulence is off and running. Guardians are piling into the Emperor’s lost vaults in search of the treasure of their choosing. Earlier this week, you discovered a new boss waiting for you in the depths of the Menagerie. Upon defeating it, you were given a quest to seek out Truth. Not in an X-files way, but to find the Rocket Launcher, Truth—a weapon that seeks out its targets… aggressively. Just look at what some players are seeing in the wild: Next week, we’ll mix things up once again with a third additional boss to keep things fresh in our new six-player activity. And that’s not all we have planned. We are also welcoming an old friend back to the Tower. Iron Pursuits Lord Saladin will return next week for the first Iron Banner of Season of Opulence. With a new Season, you have a fresh set of weapons and armor available to earn. Saladin continues to offer Iron Banner bounties, but will also set you on a quest to earn your gear. In other words, prove your worth, and be outfitted as an Iron Lord. This Season’s Iron Banner armor is now acquired through a quest. Each armor piece will be granted upon completing its associated quest step. Each armor piece will be granted as a powerful reward. After unlocking an armor piece, it may be reacquired with random rolls through Iron Banner Reputation Packages and match rewards. If you are a veteran player who earned Iron Banner ornaments in the past, this Season’s armor is compatible with all Year 1 Iron Banner ornaments. Iron Banner packages have been updated. Iron Banner Armor may now roll with enhanced perks. New weapons have also been added to Iron Banner packages and have a higher chance to drop on the first package you redeem. New Iron Banner shaders, an emblem, and a Sparrow may be earned through objectives that must be completed during Season of Opulence. Iron Banner bounties will continue to grant rewards and Iron Banner Tokens. Iron Banner bounties no longer unlock direct purchase for Iron Banner gear, as it is now acquired directly through the Iron Banner quest. Iron Banner and Increased Valor Start: 10 AM PDT on June 18 End: 10 AM PDT on June 25 Here is a preview of the armor and weapons available during Iron Banner events in Season of Opulence. Valor boosts will also be available next week in Iron Banner and the rest of the Crucible. Saladin will also have some other items available including this new Emblem. Raid Stats Thousands of Guardians explored deep within the Leviathan to tackle the challenges of the Crown of Sorrow raid. A fireteam of six completed it first and paved the way for others to follow in their footsteps. We made a graphic showing the number of Guardians who beat the raid in a few key timeframes during the first week. If you were one of the 45,475 Guardians who bested Gahlran within the first week and are thinking about purchasing the Bungie Rewards raid jacket, you have until 11:59 PM PDT on June 18 to claim your Bungie Reward code and place your order. Dmg04 and I both completed it the night before the deadline and ordered ours. Congratulations to everyone who has completed it so far. If you’re still Powering up, Gahlran is waiting for you.
  20. "If you are there always for others, then in time of need, someone will be there for you." I think this is pretty fitting for Forever Gaming. That's really down to all the wonderful people here. I can go on and on about how this year for me personally has been a hard start but I imagine, and in a lot of cases I know, that a lot of people's lives inside and outside of FG are in a far more difficult spot. You all deserve a place that's always here when you need it. You need people, not just me, that are willing to listen, care about your opinion and are here to make your lives worthwhile. We've been relatively quiet in 2019 so let's make a little noise for all those people that need a little fun and support. We've made a planner for the next few months. I hope you can see there's different bits and bobs on there for everyone. Its a start. Let's build on it together. They'll be more than just this I'm sure. One feature I wanted to just pick out is FGer Game Choice. We all love different games but we can't play them all the time. However, as we organise most nights for us to party up, its only right that we should ask treasured FGers what they think we should play for a night of fun together. This should be for new and old FGers and the only way this will work though is if we support each other and play for those few hours. It may not be much sometimes but for others it means far more than you'll ever know. I want to see more people here and in other pockets of FG. You all sometimes forget and don't even realise that y'all being around together with the tiniest nod to say 'hi' or 'nice work' is huge. I won't go on any further. Look at the pic. They'll be corresponding events, quizzes, threads, tourneys posted up in good time all over FG. Get involved. If not for yourself, but for others. GGFG

  23. Recent update - New Map is called Havana. Havana, a vibrant, historic port city where the winds of change blow strong, is home to Overwatch’s newest Escort map! Begin your trip at the Taller de Sebastián, where the classic cars that line Havana’s bustling streets stop for refueling and repair. Escort a truck of rum barrels on the sun-drenched cobblestone roads, fighting off those who try to stop you. As you make your way, duck into a colorful building to escape enemy fire and savor the impressive flavors of Havana at La Cocina de Miranda or Café del Sol. Battle your opponents through the alleys until you reach the Don Rumbotico rum distillery, a once little-known local treasure that has recently earned international acclaim. Finally, guide the jalopy through the distillery to its destination at the Havana Sea Fort, a historical landmark recently purchased by an anonymous financial group and closed to the public. All-Star Skins To celebrate the Overwatch League 2019 All-Stars, we’re adding two new Legendary skins— 2019 Atlantic All-Star Mercy and 2019 Pacific All-Star Lúcio! These skins will be available from May 7th to May 22nd. BUG FIXES Maps - Havana Fixed text errors on Taller de Sebastián and several posters Fixed a bug where players would slide along the bottom of the pillars and the wall corners on the second floor of La Euforia Fixed an issue where players could become stuck on the Yucca plants
  24. A small patch landed yesterday just before we started playing to drop the new Paris map for everyone. We played it a few times and it seemed a decent Assault map, with the first point harder to take against a well co-ordinated team holding the choke point just ahead of the point. One of the better map additions on first play through me thinks. Not sure what you guys thought@LordBaguette @crispymorgan @Greboth?
