Right, following the success of the World Cup Fantasy Football, i'm suggesting we do one for the upcoming season but give it a real good push. In previous years about 3 or 4 of us have done it but the football fans out there in FG land would love this so you just need to show your support! We had 11 people for the World Cup, it would be brilliant to get way more than that this time round. If we get large numbers, i'll look to do the same as before and see if we can offer a couple of prizes along with it. No guarantees but people who know me, will know that i'll do my best to do this. I think we'll end up using a free 3rd party Fantasy Football app so it can be easier to manage on the go. I know I could do the spreadsheet again, similar to the World Cup but that would be a ballache for me and I think you guys would prefer something more flashy and interactive. Morning FG! January's been one of those months for me but also a lot of people here. I apologise in advance for not being around enough to positively kick you all up the arse to have fun and be merry. I'm hoping a new month ahead and the seeing the games coming out over recent months will give us some fresh playtime fun to get some groups together. I learnt alot about last year, we had a lot of grouping together, did far more activities and game nights across multiple games...actually more than the days we started playing Destiny 1 without it feeling like it! That doesn't mean it didn't take a ton of effort though to sort. Physically and mentally. We hit over 100k posts at FG and I also learned at the end of year our average age of FG is 33. Probably not surprising to regulars but it also shows why we're active at some parts of the year and not in others. The post count states though show we have something we should keep going for the sake of everyone's home from home. We got a bit of feedback from some of you - thank you massively for doing that survey I created. Overall rating out of 10 was 8.29. That surprised me. Can't deny theres a few low scores in that average and that backs up my sentiment that I always think we can make FG far better than it is so it's a place to look forward to stopping by. Things that people have asked want more of: • More threads on various topics • More FG videos • The attitude we all have to one another to help • More events • More PC Gaming • Quizzes Things that people have asked to look into as they need more work, in no particular order: • Calendar and also how to make events more accessible • Grouping up online • More diversity across gamers and countries • More interaction on posts • Consolidate dead spaces on forum • Integration with all parts of FG • More social presence • Images • Streaming • The battle between WhatsApp and use of any FG elements • More people • More regular people • Grab back existing groups of members I'm going to start looking at getting an FG Roadmap installed so you can all see what we're hoping to do in the future and how close we are getting it. We'll also have a suggestion tracker so you can continue to add ideas but in an easier way. Ultimately, we just need to group together and #makeFGgreatagain. I haven't got shirts or some fluffy thing to get you back over to FG like a few years ago. I'd hope that's not needed to make you enjoy this place and that's not why I did that sentiment (although a merch shop wouldn't go a miss). Let us know your thoughts as you'll start to see multiple changes in February. Thank you for continuing to always be here and enjoying staying around any part of FG. Be good to have a thread about how our game nights have been going. We managed to get Stretch to Diamond (finally!) a few days ago and we seem to be levelling off a little. Roadhog is annoying the hell out of me when I play as DVa. Loving [mention=1456]TehMoe[/mention] Ana and [mention=1465]Greboth[/mention] Reinhardt games of late. Cheers guys. Hi All, We've had a fantastic year in 2018 and whilst we've managed to achieve a lot of things this year, I can't deny its been a hard slog. Thank you to every single one of you that has been a continued support, this place really wouldn't exist if you all didn't contribute and enjoy being a part of this place. With a new year starting, there are many things that people have asked for and at the same time there's been many changes I'd love to see but life has a funny way of getting in the way of these things (plus, my brain can only stay active so long into the night). This is also coupled with regular people wanting to keep the support going and chip in to play more of a role in making FG something bigger, better and greater for all of us. This is something i've been wanting to do for some time and its great we can now do this. We'll now have a team of people that deserve to be called admins that will help make changes and drive things forward alongside myself. @crispymorgan, @tronic44 and @phil bottle will become new admins with immediate effect. I think all the regulars know these guys and they are all very much deserving FGers that will get this place continually moving in the right direction. I'm also delighted to say that @Diddums is going to play much more of a role going forward too, just like the good old days, which i'm extremely happy about Does this mean what I've been doing over the past few years will change? Not at all. In fact I think things will significantly get even better because with a team of people that are FG through and through, you will see new features, content, people...everything. I won't ever give up on this place and neither should anyone else. Our home is here to stay. There'll be more specifics on what things we can plan to change and make better here coming over the next few weeks. For now though, I hope you can support me by saying well done and a massive thank you to the guys stepping up and becoming part of the Admin FG Team. GGFG

I try to ask through the year what we should focus on and what new things we should try out as I want all FG places to be fun to come to and interact with everyone here. I also know though I don't get many responses. Maybe that's down to you're worried you may be seen in a different light. I want to ensure you that you'd never be - I want all feedback, good and bad, otherwise we don't know how to get better. Morning FG! As last year's was an all round success it's come to the point to do this year's! I've learned a lot from last year, we have some amazing people that donate generously and hope this continues but also I want to not shoot myself in the foot and go present happy when I realised I was stretching my pocket a little too thin to make this as big as possible. I'm thinking this year along the lines of game vouchers and accessories; controllers, hard drives maybe and if we're lucky to get enough donations then let's look at a couple of games too. We'll use the raffle system like last year. We'll have a thread starting next week where we'll log down all names that want whatever stuff we have and I'll try and draw on Christmas Day!
