Its not really about catching anymore since they changed the Power and grind factor in the game. Power numbers are extremely similar now so theres usually only a tiny increase each season and from what I remember some had zero update to max cap on highest power numbers. The game introduced a progression system with a bunch of objectives which I believe is the main number shown when you walk around seeing randoms. All about just what you have completed, not about doing a million and one raids, dungeons, etc.

 

This update for me is going back in to experience the world much moved on with a bunch of Quality of Life updates we badly needed earlier in the game, a good solid campaign story, and being able to just try and complete fun activities with lots of us here. Anything else is a bonus.

Which divisions are the layoffs from? If it was me, take a redundancy package, reapply for the thousands for roles they are inevitably putting out there to get GTA 6 over the line, and grab even more money from them.

 

I jest a little bit in that, I know its not that simple and detracts away from the real issues somewhat. Blows my mind they positioned it as forced given GTA 6 will need a monumental effort to get it to release on time and then huge support once the live service element is switched on. 

[Fallout - TV Series]

Finished it last night and the inevitable sad feeling that another series isn't there to watch straight away kicked in. Safe to say its a fantastic and well made series, that explains the world of Fallout extremely well across the course of the entire series.

 

Having never been able to get past the character creation screen in Fallout, I didn't know anything much about the world of Fallout so its been a great insight into how things have been made. Like most series that hit super well with their first series, the challenge now is alot of the backstory and wow factor could be already known so really interesting to see if they can pull off a great second series now. I think the world looks like it can easily have 4-5 series in it but I suppose only the Fallout game experts will know how much has not yet been discovered! Maybe that gives me an even better feeling about the series going forward 😄

A great twist at the end of the series. I do wonder what will happen to her brother and how many of those Vault-Tec Executives are stuck inside there with him. I also am intrigued to understand how Maldover could live for so long, including her Dad? I guess will be explained in the next series perhaps?

Coventry fully deserved by the end. Mental as it was looking like one of the worst semi finals up until 70 minutes. Cov hadn't even had a shot. Then all carnage broke loose - the VAR we've talked online for a while now about it and I think for me its more now that VAR highlights are cruel the Offside rule is. Gaining an advantage my arse on that goal - and the line the morning after showed that pixels went over Wan Bissaka's foot. It just doesn't feel right.

 

 

Separately, Forest just made a bad situation for them even worse with that tweet.

Was worried when I heard they are starting from the beginning on a new movie series, but I didn't expect this! Love the aesthetic and I think good voices have been chosen so far. Can#t wait to see this.

 

 

[Into The Light - Free Update - Destiny 2]

With Final Shape being delayed, Bungie promised some bits to keep players engaged. I think they've done a decent job looking at what seems available:

Some thoughts

• Finally added some form of a horde mode, called Onslaught. 50 levels. Different difficulties.
• 12 weapons, removed because of gamebreaking elements, now back in the game. Updated and enhanced.
• 2 exotic missions. Whisper and Zero Hour. Probably 2 of the best missions we've ever had.
• Raid Gauntlet Boss new activity. I think if this works, this will hit fantastically hard.

 

There seems more but those were the key parts for me. Most people are saying PvP will be broken as hell, but I think we were already there anyway with that lol.

 

For free for the 2 months ahead of the Final Shape, it seems like a great update to me. Any thoughts?

Its finally coming....soon. Never thought it would be 10 whole years of Destiny and we'd get some form of a conclusion to the games story and activities we've played for so long.

 

Trailer above shows we finally have a new 5th enemy race, as rumoured at the start of Destiny that we'd have 5 total races. They are also combining Light and Dark subclasses to create a new subclass, Prismatic. They clearly are blowing all the doors off what's possible now in Destiny and open admit they want to break certain floors and ceilings in the game. If the story can be anywhere near as good as Witch Queen, then we'll be in for a treat. I can't see any reason why it won't be. I'm intrigued to see what else they change with it. Possibly a few months of this before an overhaul and into a Destiny 3??? I'll keep that to another thread but for now, Final Shape seems to be finally giving us that wow factor we've missed for so so long.

 

As for me, its been a long break for Destiny - nearly 18 months it feels like. I've been cautious to get back into it before now because it never felt any different. Regardless of how this lands, I think its probably a perfect time for most FGers, old returning Destiny folk or ones that never tried it, to into this DLC. To finish off a story that's been a huge part of our lives, as well as FG, seems fitting to try and get as many on it as possible.

 

Set at £40 to be released 6th June, which I think is reasonable. With the new Into The Light refresh they are having right now for a few months, this should also leave us with plenty of activities to experience together. No boring grinding btw, just finding nights where we can hook up and help each other accomplish cool, awesome missions, strikes, dungeons, raids, etc.

 

Anyone else have thoughts on this gameplay?

Me neither, but I loved the first episode! I won't get many references but its good to know it feels like its a really good watch regardless if you have or haven't played the game.

This one with it essentially being dlc that we have paid full price for it kind of left a sour taste and then you see crap like this and it's just a bit scummy. I know you have to blame people buying stuff like this but equally so it's just scummy from the devs.

 

I think its only fun with FG. I may be somwhat biased in that answer, but when they do this type of stuff it just doesn't feel fun to play at all. With others, you create far more interesting and fun objectives in each match to focus on. I'll play scheduled events on when we can with a group of FGers and maybe some FG Fridays to keep it ticking over.

Yes mate - absolutely loving the game. We need to try crossplay more but I think its also knowing when people are on PC as one of the things that had a bug since launch was the friends in-game system. Whilst it has a few bugs here and there for £30 its an absolute steal. A few missions here and there together in a group is awesome and also brings some hilarity to the conversation as someone's 500kg Bomb beats the shit out of you when they throw it on your head....accidentally of course 👀🤣

I've finally finished all the Cafe Menu books so now just have the Extra Menus to work on which is basically unlocking the cars. Trying to not to spend too much as I wait for the Ferrari to be on sale for the Platinum PS trophy.

 

I like the fact I should be able to save money via these menus though, as i've got 150 cars so plenty of purchases to make!

How big are the screenshots? I increased the cap to 10MB per post a while back so should be enough?

 

Pictures stored on FG are the biggest source of cost increase on our host bills (like most other websites) so you can probably understand why theres a size cap on it - I wish there was an inbuilt system like whatsapp that makes the pictures absolutely tiny on memory (less than half a MB most times) but as we don't have huge traffic of constant photos its not too bad tbh.

Spelt PS5 wrong 😄 In all seriousness, I enjoyed the gameplay but I think it never grips me too much based on the intensity for a top down shooter is far different to FPS. I would love to go back and finish the story though. Maybe crossplay is worth a shout if its a thing.

He really is World Class. He now has that aura around him that other countries are afraid of which always gets him more goals too. I feel we've always needed a Bellingham, someone to really standout as best player in the world. Owen was the only one when he burst onto the scene that felt similar. Lets hope he stays fit as he'll need a truckload of players to stop him.

 

I still winning tournaments is much harder than people realise. Stuff needs to go your way, and the consistency is hard to get against other top quality players over 7, 90 minute games. I so badly want us to get over the line as I really do think the philosophy the international team has followed has been the right one for years - its just that mental hurdle to get past now. 🤞

Can't see what a PS5 Pro can do really without better, exciting, enhanced games ready to come out and blow us away. Games will almost certainly dictate what people will play on...and I think they are forgetting not everyone that had a PS4 has a PS5 yet due to the sheer availability and cost of them for so long has been super high.

[Last movie you watched]

I watched it a few days ago too and honestly its a run of the mill, easy watching, action film. Nothing too crazy, although McGregor in parts is hilarious so its worth 6-7 out of 10. Never watched the original, probably should now but I enjoyed this one nonetheless.

Nah that can't be right. It won't just be free for a month. If you 'purchase' it via this PS Plus offering then you're effectively buying the DLC. So it should absolutely be free for however long you keep your PS Plus subscription which you'll always have.
