    Half Life: Alyx

2019-2020 seems to be the return of the greats even if it's just a bunch of remastered stuff. Even in the music industry it's happening. Half life was actually the last thing I thought I would of seen any sort of update to though. We need team fortress now!

  3. It's not Half Life 3 but it's something at least. Pity it's VR but I would expect this to be exceptional compared to the usual quality of games in this format.

I completely forgot they were meant to be dropping something, I’ve got high hopes for this. Will definitely be picking it up and playing some games at work.

You have to pay full price for every game you want to play. On that point alone it's a fail. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

    01 Lexus IS300

I bought the car without wheels, Front seats, Seat belts, Steering wheel, headlights, tail lights, no body panels besides front fenders, hood, and trunk, a ton of interior trim was missing, no a/c, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton. The car was also in an accident and the driver front pillar was smashed. That was fixed as pictured at the end of the photos. The goal for this car is to keep it mechanically stock, retaining a/c, and still make it an enjoyable/comfortable car to drive if I wanted to drive it across country. The only upgrades I plan on making will be actual needed upgrades mechanically. A patent filed in Brazil by Sony Interactive Entertainment suggests that the forthcoming PlayStation 5 will use cartridges in some form or another. That leads some to believe that Sony will make its own, swappable solid state drives (SSD). You want to upgrade your storage capacity? Slot a new cartridge into your PS5. Either that, or it plans some form of return for games on cartridge or, and this is an even longer shot, smaller-capacity memory cards that work like those released for the original PlayStation in 1994 in Japan and '95 in the US and Europe. The latter is highly unlikely as we could never see Sony ditching USB ports and external drive support. And, as for game cartridges, Sony's own Mark Cerny has already confirmed that the PS5 will come with a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive. Instead, the patent found and illustrated by LetsGoDigital could indeed refer to larger storage drives you can replace even more easily than the HDDs in the PlayStation 4 models.

  9. Agree and disagree. He says the following quote which I can understand from my own experiences - 'The writer claims adults enjoy superhero films because they don't wish to leave their "relatively reassuring childhoods" behind, or move into the 21st century.' I do enjoy feeling like a kid most days and Superheroes make you feel that way. However, I also do not think that's a bad thing, arguably people could say the same thing about gaming. Just because you want to feel like a kid doesn't mean you'll act like one after the movie. Also, I do believe Superheroes can you give you feelings of hope, when sometimes in life you feel like you haven't got any. That 'Feel Good' factor is what arguably can drive people to do other good things in life - just more within the realms of realism, not saving a family from a burning house every day.

It’s basically spend more for good internet and pay more a month, over spending a one off price to play on a console. 👍 This! How is it the same price if they don’t have to make a physically copy. They’ve missed a trick here.

They managed to bag 10 extra titles for launch day but its been taking a hammering out there. I think they feel this revolutionise the gaming world but it needs such a strong internet connection that its looking like it ain't worth it. Also, the one piece of kit they have is a controller - and all the reviews i've seen this morning are that it sucks ass too. I just don't like rental services idea. At least with Xbox and Playstation you can have a rental service and buy games for yourself when you want to.

  12. Your post reads like someone that is used to 3 lane maps and a game based more on aiming skill and flanking etc. This game is much more about picking the right routes to move around the map and taking a bit more time. - avoid ground war. its a total cluster fuck. its not battlefield its not cod, its not enjoyable (imo). - consider playing Hardcore for a while, i find it a little better to not appear on the minimap that often when not using ghost. - play objective modes for a while to get used to the maps and know where the enemies spawn. -stop running and gunning till you get the hang of the map layouts. like you say, footsteps are too loud. pick when you use your dead silence carefull ie once you approach an enemy flag - BACK OUT OF PICADILLY - this map will make your blood boil, its not playable. - use all the cover you can and mount when wanting to check around corners (but be aware that on some spots your frames appear to be hidden on your screen but not on theirs) - stop caring about your win loss and just back out of games that you can tell you're being unfairly screwed in. usually ill check the killcams and if i dont appear to shoot on the enemy screen more than twice, i just cut my losses and find a new game because it makes it unplayable and not fun. tbh i think its a steeper learning curve to learn the maps and best lines of sight etc...ive started using many that i know most players dont know about because they are too focused on what dead in front at eye level. i dont know if its just because ive had a 5 year break from any COD game but i am actually enjoying this one and dont see as much bullshit as everyone says. biggest issues for me are still - inconsistent connections getting you killed -spawns, i spawn in front of enemies all the time. its very annoying - 725 is still one hit kill against me from range and 2 hit markers when i use it at point blank - stun grenades unfairly punish PC players..you literally cannot move until the stun is over - hit markers on occasions for 3/4 body shoots in hardcore, followed by the guy turning and gunning you down..real frustrating.

  13. I've been taking my time, just finished the campaign yesterday. It came to a bit of an abrupt end but I still give them a big thumbs up, great campaign imo. Will turn my attention to multiplayer now... Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

  14. Ha ha I was switching from the daily races, and that's always auto enabled for BoP. Is my weak defence [emoji6] I've done a 1:20.4 so far, in the trusty Audi. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

  15. Yes Phil you need to enable BoP. I know the official races force hard tyre but for our TT I’m still using the super softs. Also, to help your ageing memory - remember to turn BoP on 😛

  16. just finished a game of TDM where I got 13 assists 13 assists... 13 FUCKING ASSISTS IN A GAME WHERE YOUR LIFE IS MEASURED IN FUCKING MICROSECONDS. I’m fucking sick of having to sweat every single fucking game just to vaguely go positive. This isn’t fun. This isn’t what made COD great. Everybody had to take the lows with the highs when they were new. Everybody earnt their bumps when they had to learn. Nobody held my hand when I got online. I had to learn and practice to get better. Now every cunt can have a million fucking places to hide surrounded by claymores, clutching their shottie like it’s going to give them the love their parents never gave them. Just because IW feel new players need a “safe space” in order to keep them in the game It’s pathetic

  23. I'd highly recommend reading The Richest Man in Babylon if you have not done so. That book, along with Ric Edelman's "The Truth about Money" helped me change my life. One line of the Richest Man in Babylon book is a guy (the one who eventually becomes the Richest Man) complaining he can't save money because he doesn't make enough. He is told that no matter what you make, someone else is getting by on 10% less. Figure out how they do it and you now have 10% of your income to save. Seems simple in hindsight, but that one line set me on the path to, over 16-ish years, increase my net worth by roughly a quarter million dollars. I started with negative net worth and almost no savings. Now I'm on the path to retire comfortably at the time of my choosing and could go a year without a paycheck before I really had to impact my lifestyle. That's mixed with still enjoying the "now". We take a vacation every spring and fall break, travel out of the country for one of those every other year, etc. It boils down to priorities.

  24. Recluse seems to wreck (me) in pvp. And Bows are awesome. I use it alot in pve. Both Trinity Ghoul and Subtle Calamity (with rampage). Bows are even good in pvp, the one like hardcore.

    LFG everyday

I typically play most days during the day unless it's a Friday or Saturday. You can add me through my activision ID Fusious_ or my battlenet ID Fusious#1101. Yes I know I don't have numbers, but I promise you it works. I typically play Dom, HQ, Hardpoint, and kill confirmed. Eventually I'm going to work my way into playin SnD and Cyber Attack, but this is the first FPS I've played in years. I usually just play Shoothouse 24/7 currently.

  27. Is it possible the games could still be on cartridges and there's just a disc tray for movies and of the sort? I think seeing game cartridges come back would actually be super neat. Disc's get scratched and if you're a child they can easily be snapped on accident. Cartridges were durable and you just had to worry about blowing the dust out every once in awhile. The ssd inserts sound pretty neat though. The next generation of consoles regardless should opt to using ssds to begin with. Hdds are quite outdated at this point.

  28. Its a simple app you can use on any device. I even have my iPad plugged in to my mix amp and I can still hear game audio and chat with anyone using the Discord. It’s not a bad idea or option for cross platforms.

  29. This is the strangest thing I've seen in a while. Basically it's 2 sisters from Bulgaria, singing a cover of a Manowar song. (Heavy power metal band) Anyway the girls are like 7 & 12. Just goes to show anyone can rock!

  30. She is amazing, she won Guitarist of the year 2016. She also has a form of OCD and has Autism. Did you watch the video of her "Through the years" growing up and playing since 7 or 8 years old. I will post it just incase! So funny the Tina turner tribute ticket, absolutely priceless man! 😂

  31. It's all very interesting but it really can sometimes depend on what life throws at you, and while in the past circumstances meant I had to watch every penny these days or while in still working i don't so much and it's really refreshing. Also if I'd had a similar approach I can't help thinking what I might have missed out on. While I hope I need money for the future I don't worry about spending it today to have fun.

  32. Bet didn’t cost a shit load to sort 😄 It’s their own fault to be honest, was there not one single person in any of those meetings that said “he looks a bit weird doesn’t he?” I hope this film does well, it’s a shame that it came down to them changing the characters look but at least they listened to their audience. All those who moaned about it and still say they won’t see it, need to go and watch the bloody thing! They fucking listened to you, now do the respectful thing by watching it.
