  3. Nice job everyone. I want to personally say that I'm happy to see Chris honored as a HoF member. He's a great guy and very deserving. Nice job, Lee. You're amazing dude. Via the FG App

  4. Well, what an awesome day people. An amazing day, new people to meet, tons of games to play, banter to be had. The pictures below hopefully show some of the fun that went on - later in the night on the guys went to the lobby area where it was a little quieter and I was thinking it was a good time to get the couple of awards done so people could enjoy some more games...and then Rich led the way to explain that I would hate the next bit, which was you guys to say thanks to me. I was took back as you'd think, I want to make you guys feel special not myself! [emoji23] However, the kind words that you all said to me meant the world. They always do. The presents were far too overwhelming (I still gladly took them![emoji23]) but know as I look at my first ever Funko Pops and have a cuppa in my new awesome mug and pyjamas I'll always know I have the best friends I could ever wish for. So now that was out of the way I could give out the awards to the people that were in attendance. I created 8 awards for the first ever FG Awards. I'm hoping you can see why they were created and I'm hoping you all will give us lots of feedback of which really work and which ones that are missing - surely this is just the beginning [emoji6] First up is was Young FGer of the Year. I want to recognise the younger generation that where it all starts. A person that has actually helped some of us out on certain missions and I've seen first hand that he will certainly be MLG if his Dad sorts out the best gaming PC he can when he scores ridiculously amazing goals on Rocket League. Young FGer of the Year - ajay--1997 (Alex Morgan) Next was FG Noobie of the Year. I wanted an award to recognise new people are just as important as existing FGers. This guy whilst knowing that he isn't used to being the most extrovert person, joined this year after seeing what the fun was like on a FG GTA Friday. Since then he's really helped the site with recommendations, new interesting posts, offered PC games up for free and got involved in new events like Gran Turismo timetrials and I know that's even harder to do when you're new and suffer from anxiety moments quite a lot. I'm proud to call this guy a genuine mate and brilliant to meet him in the flesh. FG Noobie of the Year - @Spacedeck (Harold) The next one had to be in there. We call out Guardian Down a lot for people that do genuine funny moments and get stuck in a right mess when we're playing. Dying a lot is frustrating, especially playing with Diddums, and you'd think he'd always win this, but this guy has made jumping off a cliff into death a personal achievement to take the title off Didds - something I or you guys thought we'd never see. His 34 minute failure on Destiny's Raid Lair jumping puzzle wins it. FG Guardian Down Award - @Kemp210 (James) We have to have one for the joker of the pack. One that this year has been the most annoying person you'll ever meet, talk to, play with...I could go on. But the night is never dull when he jumps in the party. I don't think he could ever be not funny either (hard to say, I know). From my point of view when you hear a chat party change it's vibe immediately when he says "Hellooooooo", you can't buy that. FG Archbishop of Banterbury - @Diddums The next one is to recognise top skills that we are lucky enough to see here and able to play with the guy. There's some amazing players here, ones that I could only wish that I had the same reactions and button memory moments as them. This guy has without a doubt made Destiny his own and not only pushed his limits to Solo a few of the most difficult challenges within it, he has supported most people on Destiny at FG getting unique and hard rewards. Rewards that if he wasn't here then we may now have the chance to get them. I always know the raid will get beat if he's in the squad. FG Skills Award - @Horrible_Hector Next up is FGer of the Year. We should recognise great support and all round amazing things that an individual does around here this year, especially around their busy work life which he deserves after nearly losing his job last year. Whilst I'm a positive guy, I can have my down moments but this guy can keep the place rocking and help out where he can. He given an enormous amount of ideas to the community, supported with donations and ideas for the Feel Good Fund, he's spent countless hours on getting people's videos and putting them together to make fun moments for us all to look back on. You can't beat making memories - and he ain't a bad Junkrat either. If he wasn't here, we wouldn't have half the stuff going on. He really is top draw. FGer of the Year - @tronic44 The last 2 are going to be the first entries into the Hall of Fame. Something that it's right for us to acknowledge key people that have supported through thick and thin and are a real asset to FG. If these people weren't here, the place wouldn't be the same. The first is a true legend that has done countless acts of generosity and tried to find many ways to help people here, and also keep the place alive. Even though his work may get in the way a lot more than he likes, he's always around and sharing info where possible. The guy has a huge heart and is always there to talk to for any gaming or personal life advice. That's huge in a world where people need that person to listen sometimes. The next one is a gent and an absolute star. His kindness never ceases to amaze me, he has the patient of a saint and will always get involved where he can. I don't even realise he could be old enough to be most people's dad here but at the same time I know that if I or others had the chance he'd be a fine Father figure to all of us. I'm proud to call this guy an FGer and I know he would be there for anyone when they needed support. FG Hall of Fame - Chris @TigerBurge and Dave @Plumbers Crack I want to personally thank everyone for being around this year and I hope we can have a fantastic Xmas and an even better 2019. GGFG

    The FG Awards 2018

Just wanted to pop in here and say a massive thank you to Lee and everyone else here at FG. We have a nice family here and i call us family as i spend more time talking and laughing with you guys than i do my blood family. Congratulations to the Hall of Famers, a well deserved award! I'll be putting up a thread over the next few days that will underline my plan for our big meet up next year, this will be massive and will hopefully be the biggest meet up we've had. I'm doing this now as i want as many people as possible to be able to make it, whether that means booking the date or just saving money for it.

  6. So in the space of a week we all can play together hopefully! Be good to hear what co-operative missions are available actually. How many ultimate edition owners do we have here that get to play from tomorrow?

  7. I gotta admit that I'm getting a bit bored of normal MP. I think there are a few reasons why. 1) It feels a similar to BO3. And I played a lot of that game. 2) 4 of the maps are old maps that I've played 100's of games on already. And I seem to play Firing Range and Jungle more than any other map. 3) Lack of challenges and no skins to unlock for the Specialists means I just use the same couple of Specialists. Which gets a bit boring.

This seems like a major issue, everything I see or read says it's terrible yet the information doesn't seem to be that widespread neither does the usual outrage over this. What are people's thoughts if any from what I can gather it really seems a terrible idea.

Lol. I can see myself loving the sniper deaths I'm about to receive on the night map and being like "where the ducking hell is that campy bastard."

  15. Have to admit I agree. When Nuketown 24/7 playlist was up I was having a blast, I love fast chaotic gameplay. Now it's gone and its back to normal maps, the game just feels so slow and boring. Like you say, there's no challenges or decent stuff to go for. MW2 and MW3 there were tons of challenges, callsigns, emblems etc to go for. Not sure why but it's gone from being an absolute blast to being boring and slow, and I've only played 2 days game time [emoji23] Sent from my Samsung S9+ using Tapatalk

  16. I think the tiresome prestige progression system needs a major overhaul as it doesn't keep people engaged and the Battle Pass is a complete embarrassment where you are just encouraging users to grind (or pay for) empty tiers which is even more soulless and worthless than the standard XP leveling. Had they made tier system properly with challenges, daily missions and proper rewards instead of pathetic generic cosmetic artwork every 20 hours/$20; that may have kept more people interested and playing daily. That's how Fortnite keeps people on board and the game fresh. This game looks like it's fading badly in interest just like Infinite Warfare and WW2. Even Blackout has no real goals or long term appeal and it's clear that Activision and Treyarch don't have the foresight or means to keep people playing. This is a tiring brand with a stale format, saturated gameplay design and even with a fresh competitive approach (poached from other games) it still fails to captivate because the progression and engagement is bloody shambolic. Activision being more greedy than ever monetizing thin air and recycled guns plus Treyarch not having any proper rewards in place doesn't ooze any confidence or assurance that people's efforts are worthwhile so I can see why people are being driven away in droves. What's left of the community are soon to be split with the Black Ops pass content coming. They seriously need to rework the leveling and progression format to keep people interested and the game feeling fresh. They also need to have proper rewards that are satisfying to earn and not sprays of chickens and thumbs up gestures for every 50 hours played or $500 spent. Too late now on BO4 though and Activision wont care as they have people's money and the game is in decline. Give it a month and people be hyping the next COD anyway - sometimes that is better than the actual game itself!

Superb, as always. Huge thanks to the @GazzaGarratt for organising it and the trophies are absolutely excellent. Pity someone broke theirs but we'll get this sorted in no time. Great to meet all the newer faces too, many mental images shattered in to a million pieces already.

  20. Gamers are cunts. Any glitch / cheat / loophole / hack / bug / other exploit is always abused by the complete and utter wankstains who's mum probably should've swallowed. I'll grab my Synthoceps.

I've always fancied VR flight sims. But my PC ain't up to the job. For a few hundred quid I could get Ace combat next year. Might be a hoot.

@phil bottle @tronic44 @GazzaGarratt First Phil, yes there are some games with serious movement that I tend it get a little of that dizziness, or I tend to get it a lot if I’m descending/ ascending in the games with elevators bits. However, you do get use to it after some time. Richard, you are absolutely right sir. The reason I picked up PSVR was because I had just played on a friends oculus. He has a top of the line gaming pc and 4 sensors throughout the room. It was amazing. I didn’t have that kind of money $$$ or space. You can get some movement with PSVR and games recognize the sensors on the rear of the headgear so you can physically turn around 360 in the game. Again, I feel VR is the next level of gaming ‘que “ready player one”’ and this is the entry level for 250$ us I was able to get into it. Maybe next time @tronic44 is in the states playing with toys I’ll be able to meet up with him. 😊

  25. I thought it was one of the best, if not the best game we've had on this generation. There's not been many but this one is easily streets ahead of most AAA games in terms of production quality and enjoyment. The story was great, the missions are highly entertaining, the characters are fantastic and the world/visuals is probably the best in an open world game with every aspect perfectly crafted rather than a cut and paste job. The game just oozes Rockstar's personality and the way they did the band of outlaws as the foundation to the game worked exceptionally well especially with the dynamic character interactions. The game had 500,000 lines of dialogue and it really shows within the interactive environments. It's not perfect though as there are a few surprise flaws. The controls are a bit cumbersome and frustrating - although you learn to live with it, it's surprising that Rockstar are still having such fundamental issues. The law element is also inconsistent and bizarre - you can attack or kill someone in a secluded area seemingly unseen but can still be caught by a 'witness' and have a bounty on your head within seconds. It's also crazy that you can rob and kill and then come back to the same town the next day after paying off a small bounty like nothing ever happened. Even wanted dead or alive I could still stroll through towns in daylight and get a haircut or pick up beans. The crafting and hunting element I happily ignored throughout but it is there if people want to utilise it for added benefits and immersion but not essential for progression which was fine. Everything else is bloody great and after playing every day for nearly a month, I finished it. Whatever we get in the online is just a bonus as far as I'm concerned. God of War is the only game that comes close to this and I imagine The Last of Us 2 will be a challenger but ultimately RDR2 sets the standard going forward for modern games.

  28. Instant day one buy and will probably be my game for months and months. WC3 was the second RTS I ever got into and I cannot say enough good things about it; also look what it paved the way for. World of Warcraft. All MOBA games. In-game tournament system- games still cannot even handle it.
