    The FG Football Acca

Anyone fancy starting this up? I've done it before on other forums and with mates, can be a lot of fun and even better if we manage to win some money along the way, together! Rules Selections will be made each weekend - 1 selection per FG member (try keep these 'normal' markets which every bookmaker offers, eg Result/BTTS/Over 2.5 goals) Selections must be made from 3pm KOs (so betslips aren't potentially ruined by an early KO or waiting for a late KO) Pundits must provide reasoning for their selection Pundits must post their choice below by midday on the Saturday - this gives enough time for members to see the selections and place the bet Selections should offer good value, no point having all 1/4 odds, neither all 4/1 (around evens (1/1) I find is a good idea) Never tell your missus about big wins Let me know if you'd be interested and I'll get the ball rolling. We really need a minimum of 4 selections per weekend to make it worthwhile with a maximum of 6. @J4MES OX4D @phil bottle @GazzaGarratt @Plumbers Crack I know you guys like your footy

  5. As you’re getting a bit close Phil I gave it a few more laps last night. I got down to 2:16.038 so annoying close to a 2:15. If I put all my best sectors together I would do a 2:15.2 so I’m obviously messing up a sector or 2 everylap. I’m out all day tomorrow so going to try Sunday to get in to the 15’s but we’ll see.

  12. I was thinking of starting a thread called the "FG Football Acca" if there was enough people interested. Basically each week we'd all pick 1 selection for the Saturday 3pm kick offs, with odds of around evens and put them into an accumulator which we all place with whatever stake we wish. Ideally, we need at least 4 people to really make it work.

  13. I’d watch some youtube video’s, there are some great introduction to redstone videos. I like Mumbo Jumbo’s videos for it but there’s plenty of others. Once you have the basics down you start to see how the bigger redstone builds are just using those concepts over and over. Nice, not the best enchantment but it does for a general purpose pick. I know you got a fortune pick afterwards which is great especially when you find diamonds. After going through almost all my levels and diamonds I finally got a silk touch pick On the positive side I don’t think I’m going to run out of picks for quite a while. Now just to find enough diamonds to make other tools and armour.

  14. Really wish I had the time to invest in this game like when I was younger, it looks superb. At the moment I only get on the PS4 about 2 times a week and that's spent playing CoD or FIFA to hang with friends. Do miss a good single player game

  15. Before I make a thread on it, does anyone here enjoy a bet on the footy?

  16. So the thing that amazes me the most, is the nature and animals and how they interact. I only just remembered seeing this a couple of days ago and sadly I didn't have the wits to record it as it was VERY early in the morning and I hadn't slept yet, but I witnessed a moose SLIP AND FALL ON ICE three damn times and it was the single greatest thing I've seen in any videogame. I need to go back to that frozen lake to see if I can find it happening again to record it.

  18. It runs well for me, smooth as diddums' arse .....and on Ultra settings. Given that the engine wasn't designed for multiplayer I've not had any issues at all. Looks nice, nicer than Fallout 4, though i think I need to turn off motion blur. There were a lot of other players on and no griefing so far. I was wary of one large group of guys, we were suspiciously pointing our weapons at each other but it didn't kick off. No-one else seemed to have their chat on so I get to didn't speak to anyone. Shooting mechanics (not bothering with VATS) are the best of any of the modern Fallout games. Smooth and accurate. Melee too. I already have half a dozen different weapons and plenty of ammo. I've been looting like a bastard, I love looting, I look everywhere for crap. Crafting was easy, first thing I did? I serrated the blade of my machete to inflict more bleeding damage. I'm stopping myself from playing too much of the Beta as I want to enjoy the game as intended. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's Fallout, I like Fallout, I like the universe and the character of the games. I knew I'd like this Fallout. It's why I booked a week off work for when it goes full release

  19. My no 1 tip is make sure you holster your weapons before greeting someone - I can't tell you the amount of times I've gone to say hello and ended up accidentally pointing a gun to their head😎

  20. Yeah - let me get in to the 2:15's before you try manual On a serious note, it will take some getting used to if you aren't used to manual gears but practice and stick with it. You might be slower to begin with but you will be faster once you're used to manual gears. As a general rule you want to do all your downshifts in the braking zone and not while turning. You want to change down pretty quick while braking but not too quick else you will lock your wheels, finding the balance comes with practice both at using manual gears and the specific car you're using. Finally, you don't always have to change gears - the advantage to manual is sometimes you can hold a gear so you don't change up right before a corner or use 2nd to get out of a hairpin rather than 1st to avoid some wheelspin etc.

  21. I can get into the 2:16 bracket just about but I'll only be able to do better is learn manual. Hopefully I can dedicate some time to that Saturday morning...any tips @Greboth?

  22. This is quite a similar situation to what GTA V was on the old 360/PS3 gen where Rockstar came in at last-knockings and proved what was technically possible after many AAA publishers such as Activision, EA and Ubisoft were crying about hardware limitations. Although we've already seen what is possible with these consoles after The Witcher 3, Uncharted 4 and God of War; it's nice to see what quality developers with time on their hands can do especially when compared to the AAA franchise shit and annual releases plus terribly designed online service games. It's another solid middle finger to EA who said single player games were done with. Such a pity that with all the talent and money in this industry; still only a handful of developers/publishers can produce the goods to the standard gamers expect and deserve.

  23. - dont stop moving or exercising. That is the worst thing you can do. But you'll need to stop doing what flairs it up -identify what it actually is that is causing the issue. May need to see a physio but in my experience they are largely useless. - most peoples back problems are *generally* caused by weak glutes, weak abs, over worked hip flexors and sitting. - seriously sitting for long periods is awful. Your buttocks are hip extensors and stabilise your spine. Your spine is the most important structure in your body so when its not supported adequately ( by sitting down and letting your buttocks turn off) it needs to grab stability from somewhere else. This tends to be from the hip flexors and psoas muscles. This then tilts your pelvis and causes extra strain on your back muscles which = pain and sciatica. That is a big generalisation but applies to alot of people. Without knowing the cause of the issue its hard to say what to do. But literally everyone here who has a desk job would benefit greatly from the daily routine of : 2 min each stretch each leg : hip flexors, quads, calfs. Foam roll/tissue release with a hockey ball : glutes/buttocks. Key things to google are : anterior pelvic tilt, pelvis reset, mobilityWOD. Do some reading and if any of these conditions sound familiar then you may be onto something. Ill post some more later but a final point is to see how your feet arches are and also never sleep on your side. Sleep on your back ! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
