  1. I found that too but I think it's part of the learning curve the game wants to take you through. I turned it on for the first time last night and had a few games with Euan @Chookes and Alex @D4rk_Uprising01. Overall opinion is - way better than most people think. Played some Control and Search and Destroy on Core. Also a few games of Blackout. Core was actually pretty decent. It does feel like you come off second best to start with but without having a custom class and weapon attachments is probably why it feels like that. I'm with @TigerBurge when he says it's very rewarding on headshots. TTK isn't too bad as I far prefer Destiny PvP timings so it's now more of just learning the maps whilst finding a gun to warm to. Blackout really did impress me. It isn't for the aggressive, out and out CoD player that wants action non-stop. It feels like it hits the sweet spot between Fortnite and PUBG. Need to play more to understand menu and UI navigation but all in all, a very solid game. Reminded me of how much fun we had when we all had BO3 and the potential of having fat more fun on this one.

  2. @cyberninja2601 I know Lee always calls out poor behavior, so I hope it's just an isolated incident with a very small percentage of the group. We have a large clan, but I very rarely run with more than 10 or 12 of them, lord knows what the rest of the clan get up to..... If it's something you want addressing reach out we'll get it sorted, I hate people feeling bad over a game. I can't recommend @Plumbers Crack & Co. highly enough, they are hardcore casual gamers if that is such a thing. I'm pretty high light level if you want pulling through anything, hit me up. If you think you can't jump, try running with @technohamster. Nothing funnier than hearing him lose his shit trying to do an ascendant challenge.

Do you have to deal a certain amount of damage to claim the kill even if you don't land the final bullet(s) ? I was going 0-6 yesterday and ready to rage quit only to check the scoreboard and see myself top with 12 'kills'. I'm guessing you get rewarded if you shoot someone and they die prior to replenishing their health whether you landed the final hit or it was someone else. Seems like it's a combination of kills and assists. I also assume that if they regain their health, if someone else kills them entirely, that means you don't receive anything. If this is the case then it's a pretty good system especially with health regen and amount of bullets required where you may do 75% of the damage but someone else finishes the job.

    EKIA

Lolz. It's why I love it like this! I genuinely think it works though. There was always too many sweaty CoD players worrying about their K/D and slating the crap at the bottom of the table where this will encourage you to stick as a team and help each other. You never go out to get one bullet in them and runaway so you can get top player. Like Destiny PvP for me, you go out there to just try and win the match for your team. Everything else is secondary.

  6. Sounds like a good plan, though if you haven't already I'd work through the challenges and the track challenges as each one gifts you a car so it is a relatively easy way to build up a decent garage. That is why I like time trials as you can squeeze them in around other things easier than a fixed race time/schedule. Suzuka is a difficult track to get perfect laps on so maybe the wrong one to start on but that's what you get for randomisers Hopefully round 2 combo is better for you.

I love the Seraph as the team tac insert can be really useful for objective game modes and I just love the one shot pistol you get too. Have got many good feeds with that in BO3. Battery is also fun with the grenade launcher, although the cluster nades seem a little weak. Recently been enjoying the Ajax too just to piss other full teams off. The flash nades are great to take out a big group of players doing for B and the riot shield is very effective if you need to get a flag to save or win a game. Sent from my Samsung S9+ using Tapatalk

Just a little thread to post those clips tha you are proud of, think are funny or even something that made you rage. I’ll start with a little clip of mine with the ICR trying to get my aim back and ending up with a dirty little quad feed 😃

    Who's Getting BO4?

Think Dan is right here - you essentially have 389 'EKIA' with 200 of them being 100% damage dealt kills of only your doing. That leaves 189 assists or clean up kills where you fired the final bullet or contributed damage in which a team mate finished the job.

Haven't tried them all yet but I quite like Nomad as you get a tripwire to place which can be fun and really piss off the opposition as you can place it near their spawn hidden and it remains even after you've died. The main ability is an annoying dog to add insult to injury! The tripwire does take me back to the old claymore placement MW2 days.

My problem is I find one and then stick to it 😂 I'll try not to this time out. Seraph with her Swordfish is brilliant. Loving the accuracy of the stock gun she has and has a good beacon type thingy (I think) that helps mini-map info. Whatever the one who has a Shield with a minigun stuck inside it though is ridiculously OP.

  17. Wassup y'all? I realised its time for my yearly appearance on the forum to say hi! For those that don't know me, my name is Jordie, I'm 23 from the UK. I joined this forum back in 2013, though have been involved in this wonderful community since 2009. I haven't been gaming much (at all) over the last few years, nor participating on the forum, instead taking some time to focus on the real world. Regardless, it's always nice to come back seeing familiar names. I don't want to make any promises that I'll be a super active member, nor that I'll be online too often, but with Fallout and Red Dead 2 coming out, I'm more likely now than ever 😂. How are you all doing?

Sunday League was the perfect mix of full on footy for 90 mins then have great banter with the lads. Awesome news to hear you're progressing too! Exec in no time I'm sure... 😎 Oh, and nobody's perfect Jordie. You have must have so much fun supporting that club 😁 (nice to also see Phil try and stir things up, bloody cockney nobjockey 😘)

  22. 1 million percent this. Great words Crispy. I'm not oblivious to the fact we all gravitate towards people that we all 'usually' play with but there's no excuse not helping another FGer out. It's equally okay to say no if you have something you're focusing on. Just be helpful where you can for each other. Pat - PM me if you need anything further. On this...I'll do it if we think that's the only way beating Riven but as it pretty much changes the entire final boss fight and how it was designed, for me it doesn't feel quite right. I'm waiting to hear over the next few weeks to see if they have an upcoming patch for it as I don't want to learn it to then find we have to properly learn the Riven fight anyway.

  23. Cropped up on the BLOPS game thread, but I thought I'd split it out. Personally I favour digital because I have 2 PS4 systems that use the same license at the same time, effectively I can buy 2 copies for the price of one. Also I don't have to lean forward and remove a disc (very hard work). And there is no chance of loss/damage. What are your thoughts?

    Physical or digital?

Digital in my case. I had to breathe some relief that I had Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition on Steam, before Gearbox decided "hey, we don't want you to have that anymore". I found my Duke Nukem Atomic Edition disc while tidying my room, it was scratched up beyond recovery. Digital if you're careless like me 😀.

  28. This is definitely a decent Call of Duty game. It's early days but I can already tell this is far better than any of the COD's we've had on the current gen. It may look like a BOTG version of BO3 with gameplay changes ripped from all other popular titles of late but actually it works fairly well despite some overly-chaotic moments and general frustrations. Definitely a much better game than it would appear in video and on paper. Leading up to release and even during the beta it felt like the game was a desperate alternate BO3 with stacks of needless changes and excess fluff but all in all; everything functions pretty good and has clearly been well thought out. Specialists are also done very well - not OP like BO3 but they offer enjoyment and tactical opportunities that benefit you and the team. If you can get through the brutal slow leveling early on and the fact higher ranked players will be far better equipped; it can be a great experience. It's not perfect by any means but the package is a whole represents decent value even without a campaign.

  31. I just played a 5v5 DOM match with Dan94 against a team of high ranked g-fueled Mountain Dew Dorito tryhards and it was even more frantic than 6v6. Chaos TDM may have two more players and be crazy but that is definitely where the pure fun seems to lie. 5v5 is more competitive, objective focused and strategic but you no doubt run into 'pro' teams, stompers and general sweaties. It was entertaining as we done them 200v199 in the last second whilst they were spawn trapping. I clinched B with a trip mine to turn the game around and then saved it with an RCXD whilst we were pinned back in our spawn again! Didn't help that it was 4v5 for a third of the game either in their favour. If you're running solo, definitely Chaos TDM is the place to go despite the messy carnage - 5v5 ironically seems even more crazy.

Can't believe Dave will finally be a part of GTA Fridays!! Also, last night's money was pretty good because it was double $ this weekend on Sumo. Didn't realise this at all! Thanks for everyone coming last night, 13 in all - I think it was such good fun trying to smash people up out of the tiniest circle. So many zoomed off the track trying to hit each other 😂 We'll try to keep it varied like last night going forward. 35. My biggest complaint is the spawns are fucking horrible. Like I’ve actually never seen them this bad. What’s the point of a beta? Another minor complaint is that SMGs are rather weak. If you run into someone with body armor you was as well kiss your ass good bye. You aren’t winking that fight

  36. Yeah TTK is a little long for CoD but I’ve been playing Destiny so it hasn’t bothered me. The biggest thing to me is it rewards accuracy and head shots. You land a couple of headshots and you melt the other person.

If it’s a game I’m going to spend a lot of time on I go digital. If it’s something I’ll play and possibly trade in I go physical. Considering I only play like three or four games a year most are digital nowadays
    1 point
  44. Well I think you know why the second option has a vote so far I did write about this when we had a blog as its something i'm quite passionate about. I think it boils down to the facts of practicalities so I do understand why people go for Digital and also why the only reason most of you still buy Physical because of 1) Price and 2) resaleability. I think I just have some hereditary traits in me, like hoarding/collecting things and some principles that stick with me. I love the aesthetics of buying physical games although now they don't even give manuals for most games which is disappointing. For some reason my brain doesn't feel attached to Digital games as much as they don't feel 'real' - its probably why I am more inclined to play console over PC maybe. Maybe not relevant for newer games but for older games I think the argument is there more in my favour. They came fully complete with no Day One patch and they hands down beat emulators for feel and aesthetics, with original graphics and controllers. Nothing beats blowing the cartridge, sticking Wiz n Liz in and playing some levels like the old days with your mates.

    Physical or digital?

Physical copy for myself. The reason is simply down to cost. I can buy a disc copy for £10 cheaper than digital. And when I'm done I can then sell the game. This means that, on average, it costs me £25 for a game. Compared to £60 for a digital copy. Why would I not want to save £35? Via the FG App
    1 point
  46. For me if it’s a single player game I would like the disc. It’s future proof if you ever want to go back and play it again in the future when you want to go back and play old games like you would with ps2 games as an example now

    Physical or digital?

I prefer digital on PC nowadays as it's cheap keys on the latest releases but with console, I prefer physical as I do like to collect some classics plus I can trade games in. I bought Spiderman for £48, finished it and traded it in for £41 10 days later for instance, so I could get another full priced game already in the knowledge that I've got my money's worth out of a game which I finished and will never play again for just £7. Digital prices on console are outrageous though - £60 is disgusting for new games especially if you can get a physical version for £40. It's convenient if you hate disc-swapping and clogging up space plus you can get some cheap deals through the XBL/PSN stores in the sale but it really adds up on new titles especially if they have a season pass, meaning a new release could cost upwards of £100. There is also not many games worth collecting these days on the current gen and as we've seen with Black Ops 4, the disc versions contains literally fuck all of the game so going forward, they'll be worth sod all. I do have some amazing collections of classic games particularly big box ones on PC that are worth decent money but the way gaming is going; digital will probably soon take over even on console. Retailers are also reluctant of buying up large stocks of products because they don't want to inject too much money in stock that may have to be sold at a loss months later or turn dead - GAME are still sitting on countless copies of Football Manager 2014, Battleborn and Evolve for example. They'd rather have minimal game stocks with most being pre-orders and then money being put into high-margin goods such as console bundles and peripherals which are the big sellers this time of the year. As long as streaming games doesn't become a norm; I'll be happy with digital on mainstream titles on PC and physical for major console exclusives. I'd struggle to spend more than £40 on a new game so new PSN titles is a no-go for moi.
