I work as a Personal Assistant and Support Worker for a Social Worker. It's a unique experience. Without being a social work student you're getting a first hand look at everything, whilst contributing in a small part. My primary role however is to provide support for a Social Worker who is dual impaired in eyesight and hearing. Unfortunately, my job is up in a couple of years and I can choose to either forge a new working relationship with another client, which will prove difficult or my ideal plan of turning Twitch streaming into an income of some form. I just wanted to say this explains why you're all such a well rounded bunch of people. You all do really interesting, worthwhile and essential jobs here.4 points

Militia The complete list is finally assembled plus the upcoming Nuketown. Frequency: A covert listening station deep in the mountainous region of Hunan Province is being used to track strategic targets across the globe. Contraband: Surveillance of an international arms smuggling operation has uncovered this shipping hub on a remote, uncharted island off the coast of Colombia. Seaside: An anti-government protest in this quaint coastal Spanish town grew out of control and forced a military shutdown. Payload: A defensive ICBM launch facility deep in an Icelandic mountain range has been infiltrated by hostile forces attempting to steal a nuclear warhead. Hacienda: A lavish vineyard estate situated on a quiet lake in the Spanish countryside, home to a high-ranking crime syndicate boss. Gridlock: A Japanese metropolis whose city center has been jammed up by a bank heist gone wrong. Arsenal: Hostile covert ops on a manufacturing facility of a powerful North American military defense contractor means someone may have stolen the keys to the castle. Icebreaker: A long lost Nuclear submarine in the Arctic houses a uranium supply which a Russian unit has come to salvage. Morocco: Rebels in a small Moroccan village are using government military supply planes as target practice as they fly over the surrounding Sahara Desert. Militia: Anti-government extremists backed covertly by a Russian cell are stockpiling weaponry in a remote region of Alaskan wilderness near the Bearing Strait. Jungle: Black Ops Flashback – The heat is on as Cold War forces collide in the sweltering depths of the Vietnam jungle. Slums: Black Ops Flashback – Street battles rage in head to head heat through the center of a run down Panama neighborhood. Firing Range: Black Ops Flashback – US Forces gear up for red team/blue team combat exercises in this Guantanamo Bay military base. Summit: Black Ops Flashback – Cold War surveillance is at its peak above the clouds in the mountaintop listening post in the Ural Mountains.2 points -
I think tactically it was a bad team selection for Liverpool. Klopp should have looked at how Mane and Salah played on the weekend, they are both in poor form right now. Sturridge should've played the full 90, partnered with Shaquiri up front. As for Tottenham, I don't think there was anything they could do. They need to make a few signings in January to say the least.2 points

A carpenter mate working there sent me some photos of the grass being laid today, can't wait to watch a game. Even Arsenal fans I know who've seen it from outside are impressed, which is saying something. I just hope we still have a team who can play in it2 points -
Cheers mate. I didn't get the tester one I went for thursday, had someone more suited apparently. Wasn't exactly what I wanted tbh and maybe that showed in the interview but still good experience. Have another interview Monday for a Web designer / developer job and applied for another 2 similar roles which I'm waiting to hear back from regarding interviews Sent from my Samsung S9+ using Tapatalk2 points

I'm currently at the height of my career working for the best company I've ever worked for. I'm a building manager and my line manager is worth £3b so hopefully I'll get to call him dad one day and get written in to his will. To get here I've had quite an illustrious career which has involved unblocking toilets in a prison and moving office furniture for £50 a day. It's been an extremely long and difficult road but being able to wear a suit to work and work with people who aren't constantly scratching their bollocks and picking their noses has made it all worth while.1 point -

I'm tempted. Glad I haven't got funds atm or it would be mine already. I've been itching for us to have a proper FG Pro Clubs team here, especially because we have quite a lot that enjoy footy games and others that could bring some newbies into the FG fold.1 point -

Emulation *shudders* [emoji23] Everyone that knows me here would say I'm just a sucker for original and physical stuff rather than emulators. There isn't really anything wrong with them, I just find there's far more nostalgia and feel good that comes out of a night of retro gaming when I'm blowing the cartridge free of dust and putting it into my consoles. If there was a way of getting us altogether to play my old consoles I'd do it in a heartbeat. Next best option is our trip to Manchester's Arcade Club in November [emoji16]1 point -

Fair play Dan. Funnily enough that's exactly what I'd love to do aswell. I've started on CodeAcademy as its free. How much is your course? Its been a while since I've picked it up though. How are you finding CodeAcademy mate? I've been doing my course on Udemy but seen a few people online (Instagram and also someone on my estate) who've used Treehouse and gone from zero to Front End Developer in 6-9 months and into a job. It is £20 p/m though and then £199 p/m if you want a 'TechDegree'1 point

Its a small family owned business at his house (portakabin in the garden as an office) so could understand if it was a little informal and relaxed but just put the dogs in another room ffs they were little scatty things running about Anyway, gave feedback to apprenticeship provider and they're investigating further with their manager about whether they're going to work with that company in the further, he also had to Google the wages for apprentices with regards to my age etc which was unprofessional as well. He had my CV prior to the interview1 point

Didn't get the Web designer now either, guy was a bit of a deluded idiot tbh. Had the 'interview' in his dining room with dogs running around barking, jumping up etc. Said he was expecting a portfolio of websites I had designed (if I could do that, I'd have my own business or be going for a full time role, not an apprenticeship to LEARN). Anyway, still waiting to hear back from the other 2 roles who've been sent my CV by the apprenticeship provider so fingers crossed. Bit disheartening though1 point

I’m quite enjoying this game although I really, really struggle to defend myself even against AI on the "professional" difficulty. FUT is interesting this year as it seems they are leaning more towards rewarding the ppl who put time into playing divisions and squad battles. Pro clubs is loads of fun, not had too many issues with people crossing the ball in, although that’s what everyone tries. 30 yard screamers are rare, but will happen. All in all, I like it. (Pro tip for FUT: Buy Aubameyang and Davinson Sanchez)1 point -

I'm an admin assistant in a psychology office that specializes in treating veterans, those still serving, RCMP, ambulance and police dispatch, and first responders. Two of the three psychologists I work for also still have independent practice clients that don't fall within those parameters. We're less than a year old, so we're still ironing out some kinks and getting some things going, but we've had a good response so far. I majored in psychology in university and then went to college for administration, so this job is really the best of both worlds for me. Previously I worked for a hospital as a clinical secretary in an off-site hemodialysis unit for 5 years and did a 1 year stint in their Privacy and Access office. That was a stressful year of intense impostor syndrome, but I learned some interesting things that I've brought to my current job.1 point -
Im a CNC machinist, setter and programmer. I work horizontal borers and multi axis milling machines but im also an apprentice trained vertical borer and turner. Like Lee I've only worked at the one firm and on August the 11th I'll have been there 32 years 😫 21 years of that was on nights.1 point

I am a Civil Servant, specifically within the Insolvency Service. It is hard to describe my job as it is basically to support all the other teams within the Department that I work. Mostly it revolves around providing figures and statistical analysis to whomever wants or needs it, some low level upkeep of our payments system, helping people external to us upload files to us (it is very specific data with tight validation rules so it's often wrong). However it extends wider than that to a sort of Jack of all trades and in my time I've paid people money, answered general queries, drafted letters in response to complaints, written to MP's, advised on legislative matters, created and presented training to other staff on things from Excel to writing SQL, TUPE to Employee Status. The pay is terrible, like truely utterly terrible, but everyday is different and most days a challenge as I'm always being asked to do something or for something that I've not done before.1 point

It can be very rewarding, but this field also has an extremely high turnover rate. The stress is nuts. There are days when I want to choke these kids. But there are also days when I feel really good knowing I'm helping someone get their life on track. I've learned to put my efforts into the kids who are trying. The ones that don't give a fuck, I don't give a fuck. You can lead a horse to water... But thanks man. I appreciate the kindness. Via the FG App1 point -

I work in Projects. Pretty vague I know but essentially I lead in changes that happen at a Building Society. You'd be surprised how many things need changing or we want changing like systems, policies and strategies. I'm very lucky to do many varied things and help make decisions that impact the direction of where we go. I've only ever worked for this company too. Nearly 14 years.1 point -
