    B04 mystery box ...wtf

Yup people are quick to blame Activision but you have to blame the consumer, loot boxes and all.

  6. I've registered for it. The idea of the first game was great but just a bit lacking in execution. However I did hear that the later expansions fixed a lot of stuff and added more depth to the game. Just a shame hardly anyone was there to see it!! Really hoping that we can see this one learn from the previous lessons and a good game come from it

To be fair the Bungie forum is the most toxic place I’ve ever seen. I’m not disagreeing With them but those people will bitch about a blow job

  8. Fraid you're (Hayley!) not going to like the answer here. Powerbanks are only ever good for charging a mobile or similar device. It wouldn't generate enough power to get the straighteners going and if it did then it'd batter the charge in seconds. solar power converted into 12v storage is more viable if you've got a) a big ass solar panel and b) a decent battery to store said charge. Even then I'd suggest using specific 12v straighteners as it's not economical to invert the power from 12 to 240. in short, if you're "off grid", then I'd forget about most of your creature comforts like that if you aren't going to carry a big ads battery along with you

  9. Tomb of Annihilation is a campaign guide that came out last September. It takes place in Chult which is loaded with dinosaurs. It's not out of the realm of possibilities, but weird if you're not currently on that area of the world. Also, I love the candle bit and saying it was from a bard's song. What's also great about this is the two on the left are actually good friends in real life and play D&D together.

    Division 2 Beta

No news of a date yet but you can sign up via the link below with your preferred platform. https://tomclancy-thedivision.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/beta Last time out we had the beta that we could play up to around Level 7 I think(?) and a large chunk of the map open to be able to explore. It was a pretty decent beta if I recall. Here's hoping this one will have a good flavour of the modification available early doors.

    Fallout 76

Not sure if there's many on this forum looking at Fallout 76 but for me, it;s the only AAA game I'm really looking forward to this year and I just received a message from Vault-Tec "You have successfully redeemed your B.E.T.A. (Break-it Early Test Application) registration code. Additional instructions will be sent to your registered Bethesda.net email address when the B.E.T.A. program is ready to begin." Bethesda has it's own launcher now for PC, I never knew. Beta is in October.

  12. Sadly not a new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game (though I believe one is in the works). This is a relatively recent mod overhaul (September 2017) and though it plays outside of Steam, it requires the Call of Pripyat base game installed on Steam. I watched a YouTube vid at the weekend which put me in the mood to try this mod, plus a few others I found on Moddb https://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl Here's the vid that got me going:

  13. I'll agree with the Public Event issue - I had into the early hours last night with @Rico and @reaper-2201 and I left to go to bed as it still hadn't come. Once this bug is fixed, this will be completely fine. I get it's difficult for everyone to make it but all content in these games isn't made for everyone. At the same time, I remember waiting to high enough level and then running multiple Black Spindle missions and then eventually getting it with @Diddums and @Plumbers Crack. Doing this definitely adds to the thrill of getting it. Other games do this approach too.

    Whisper of the Worm

Loads of people complained about the sleeper month long lock out! Basically stuff like this always disadvantages someone, so it’s not a great idea from bungie. Locking it to a PE that appears to rarely spawn is also not a great idea (look at Bungies forum for the complaints about people waiting 6hours to get the PE). That might be a bug (cozmo has tweeted that arelooking into it). At least this seems to be two steps forward and one step back.

  15. Exactly, no-one complained about Sleeper Simulant in D1 and the month long lockout, so whats changed now? Personally I love it. It really ramps up the feeling of "Must get it next time".

    New Xbone?

Microsoft have more consoles that good games now😎 The 360 was a brilliant console with a remarkable online platform and plenty of groundbreaking franchises like Halo and Gears of War. This gen has been a total fuck up from start to finish - first they release a VHS player with restrictions that they back-tracked on like pre-owned games. They then abandoned Kinect despite having millions of unsold Kinect bundles. The console was incredibly underpowered and couldn't run old games like BF4 in full HD. They failed to invest in any in-house developement teams and instead used money to claim exclusives like Titanfall and Quantum Break which were both mediocre. Their solution to mounting problems was to release more powerful consoles but not address any pressing problems that have existed for years. All they did this year was acquire 4 indie studios working on low-budget games for their overpowered console. Bloody disaster all round.
